Question and Answers Bro. Lee Vayle - March 16, 1983 …upon ourselves, or any presumptions, but rather speak of those things which we do know, Lord, we hopefully will know all we need at this time, and we commit ourselves to you in Jesus' Name. Amen. You may be seated. [Local announcements made] 1. [Question one: from the floor inaudible on the Seals] Well, you see, you read 'The Breach' (right?) or heard the tape 'The Breach'? [Person says, Talk about a physical way that the Seals work] Well, all right, I'm going to put you straight on that. He made a little bit of mistake which he corrected later on. Now, (give me a piece of paper) anything that we can sort of use without ruining it. I don’t have anything here. Well, this little piece of paper here will dohallelujah I guess. Now, a scroll was ordinarily a parchment, or a sheep skin, but it was usually long. It would be much, much longer than this. And that scroll would have like a winder on it. Now, what they would do then would be to write from the top and write on down, down, and they would wind it. Now, I'm not going to be too perfect on this, but here's the idea what Bro. Branham was saying. And I'm going to correct, because later on he corrected it just right. Now, see what he said, the First Seal would be a piece of paper, [Bro. Vayle demonstrates] now you see, we're winding it. Now, this would be as he said, number one, see? And then he said, there was a seal put on it. Okay, just visualize that we got another piece of paper, (see?) then we start it and we roll it, roll it and we seal it, until you get seven. And he had seven seals on the inside and seven on the back side. No way. See, he corrected that. What it says here (and we'll go to the Book of Revelation chapter 5, because that's where we start hitting the Seals.) All right now verse 1. (1) And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. 2. Now, what is there the terminology in the Greek, the literal word is: 'a signifies' that this is a manuscript that was completely filled on both sides. So that you couldn't add any more to it, the papyri, papyrus, or parchment sheets, (whatever it was) was completely finished. Then it was literally sealed with seven seals. And there were not seven on the inside. Some people still try to preach seven seals on the inside. I wish they would wake up and realize that's not true. But, you understand the idea was a rolling, then he said, "It's rolled in one seal." It wasn't. It was completely rolled. And then it was tightly sealed. Very tight. And the tight sealing would be seven seals across here, which is you would understand (in my understanding) is this: and I don't believe it's hard to follow. That there was just enough writing visible that a person could not read it, but might guess, and each time it would be a dumb guess. And that's exactly what happened to the Seals, it was a dumb guess. Some of it was inspired. Look, I've got to admit to the fact there were some who got some of the Seals a little bit right and all. Like Larkin got some and different ones. But, there were none who were able at any time to see the revelation that was under the Book, under the Seals. So, it is strictly then that which has been sealed in the Scripture, and has not known for a surety and a certainty as to what it really is and to what age it pertains. And the opening of the Seals in our day put everything into perspective, so as Bro. Branham said, "Those loose ends were caught up." 3. And I often illustrated to the people my understanding of what Bro. Branham said, when he said, "The Seals corrected all the errors" and so on. I say, "Well alright now, a teacher can hand a pupil a set of questions and the pupil send the answers in on the paper to the teacher, and every place there's a mistake, the teacher corrects it. And as soon as the paper is corrected the person has a perfect paper. Well, this is why "that which is perfect is come." Because it's been corrected. The errors have been exposed, the corrections have been made manifest. "That which is perfect has come," that means it's concluded, it's sanded off like a finisher so that you cannot add or take. The very minute that you added or took, you would have an imperfect thing. It's got to stand perfect. So, we have under the Seals, which really are the Seven Thunders, the perfect revelation of the Word for this hour Ephesians 1:15-23, has been, and is being and will continue to be fulfilled until we're caught up to the Wedding Supper. So, that's what he's talking there. You got to be careful, because if you didn't know later on down the road he corrected that what he said. You could be thinking there's fourteen seals. There's not fourteen seals, there's Seven Seals. 4. All right, (that wasn't quite an easy one that was all I have, on that. Now, don't give me any hard ones.) [Question two: spoken away from a microphone] Well, he says in here [1 Chronicles 1:10-12] when Solomon prayed, "Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge Thy people, that I may discern between good and bad. For who is able to judge this Thy so great a people. And the speech pleased the Lord that Solomon asked this thing, and God said unto him, "because thou has asked this thing and has not asked for thyself long life, neither has asked riches for thyself, nor has asked the life of thy enemies, but hast for thyself understanding to discern judgment. Behold I have done according to thy words. Lo, I have given thee a wise and understanding heart." So there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. 5. Now, Bro. Branham mentioned that especially in connection with this, the queen of Sheba, who came several months across deserts where there was great hardship and there was also great danger to her. And she came, and the Scripture says, that he [Solomon] revealed to her everything that was in her heart. And he put that literally down to a gift that Solomon had (as I recall) that she wouldn't even have to have asked the question. Though it's likely she did ask questions. And he was able to give her the answer. And today, he mentioned that a "Greater Than Solomon is Here" And what it is that the queen recognized the Spirit of God in the life of Solomon. Because Solomon was not God, he was not incarnation. He was not a prophet either. His father was a prophet, but Solomon wasn't. However, he received tremendous revelation from God as a king, in order that he might (that is on the Word) in order that he might be able to judge the people. In other words, he would have to know as he proved, he would have to know motivation. Not just the letter of the law. He would have to know motivation. That's like the time that the two woman had children, had babies born, and one the Scripture says she rolled over on her child and the child died. And the one who had killed her own child said, "Now that's my baby." And the woman said, "No, it's my baby." So, they brought the case to Solomon, and he said, "All right, (he said) there's just one way settle it, (he said) you both claim it yours, so we'll just take a sword cut the baby in two." And the woman whose baby it was she said, "Oh no, (she said) now just give it to her I don't want the baby to suffer." He said, "It's your baby." "The other woman said, "Sure, that's fine by me." So, you can tell what she had. I guess you can tell why she was a harlot also. She was a mess. 6. But, he was able to understand literally what lay behind the people's actions. And he was able to discern what was really in their hearts. And you see that's what Bro. Branham was looking at over here in the Book of Hebrews 4:12-13. (12) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, (that's really the Logos) piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow(s), and is a discerner (that's a judge between, so from this comes motivation) the thoughts and intents of the heart. Because the issues of life are from the heart. "And out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." [Lk 6:45] And the issues of life are found there. So therefore, when you're speaking in these terms of discerning, you're not simply reading a people's mind, or reading their thoughts. What you're doing is going right behind the motivation as to why those thoughts and those things are there, and then you're able to give what God's answer would be concerning the alternatives based upon what is actually in that person. Now, like the two women. They're called harlots, and I guess they were, and he wanted to find out, just where those two women stood as to what was really in them. So, he said, "All right, we'll just cut the baby in two." And the one woman that…she was very bumptious [self-important] type of person and she really didn't care. She just wanted he own way, she said, "All right, that's the way to do, cut it in two." And the other woman said, "No." So he was able to know…what lay behind the person who was doing and saying the things that were being manifested. 7. Now, Bro. Billy Paul makes mention how that when he was with his father, and observed these interviews. And one of the great questions of course is always 'marriage and divorce and birth control'. And so the question was brought up and they came to Bro. Branham and said, "Now, this ….?... such and such, and such and such, and such." Bro. Branham said, "All right, (he said) that's just fine, you go ahead and you take some form of control so that as it's some type of contraceptive." And another person come in and say the very same thing. And Bro. Branham say, "No, you got to all the way with the natural method, (he said) because there's cycles in there and you got to understand that. And so, Bill Paul said to his dad, "Well," he said. "daddy I don't understand, (he said) the two men had the same source story, and you gave different answers." He said, "Aw, but Billy Paul, one of them lied." 8. See, now that's what you're looking at here. You're looking at the fact that Solomon had a very, very limited gift. And yet that gift was so great, that it literally shook one of the great and (you know) most popular and known persons in the world the queen of Sheba. It was so great that she was willing to hazard everything and anything to get the answers that Solomon had, which lay in this gift. And he said, "A Greater is here." In other words, Bro. Branham could do what Solomon could never do. Solomon would be in comparison to the Holy Spirit ministry of this hour. He would maybe rate a twenty percent, but he would flunk the eighty percent. Here was a man who said, "Tell me whenever It failed after thousands and thousands and thousands of times?" So, when you're looking at wisdom you're also looking far beyond that. You're looking over here at what we're into for months, and we still have never covered it the way I want to cover it by the grace of God hopefully. 9. Ephesians 1:17. (17) That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and (the) revelation in the knowledge of him: (18) The eyes of your (heart) being enlightened; that (you) may know what is the hope of his calling, the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (that's His Name and so on.) And that's when Bro. Branham said in Daniels 'Seventieth Week' page 103. The Spirit of wisdom comes into the Church to make known to the Church by the revelation of the Holy Spirit, bringing the Church in and revealing what day we're living in. Just the same as Gabriel came to Daniel, the Holy Spirit comes to the Church in the last days to reveal the deep secret things. And you saw a Greater than Solomon is here. Solomon also to our knowledge never interpreted Scripture. But Bro. Branham said, "Just think (he said) the same Pillar of Fire that brought the Word to Paul is here revealing that Word." 10. And then again in Hebrews 4:13 says: (13) Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight… And Bro. Branham could say, "If the crowd was five thousand, five million, it wouldn't matter." He'd say, "You couldn't hide if you tried." He said, "There's nobody could hide." Because he'd already said, "I take every spirit in this building under my control in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the glory of God." And the people say, "Well, hey, that's that evil spirits." No way, he read your spirit just right down the line. There wasn't one person who could stand there. Yet you had people today who'd say, "Well, you know, so well, well, well, you know." See, what it is, what it is, look, let's face it, if the prophet didn't say right when he said, "If you've got the Holy Ghost then the Holy Ghost wrote this Bible, and when the same Holy Spirit is revealing and you can't say 'amen' to every Word, you ain't got no Holy Ghost." I mean, look, that's just axiomatic, I don't care what anybody says. So, that's what you're getting into. You're getting into what he was saying. And I think perhaps the best tape on "Greater Solomon is Here', (now remember, he preached that many, many years ago, and then he repeated it in '64 I believe,) and I think the Dallas tape is maybe the best tape that you get on "A Greater than Solomon is Here'. (I think he must have preached it way back as early as '58, or maybe '57, I'm not sure in that area. And then it was taken up again back there after the opening of the Seals. I'm sure it was in 1964.) 11. So, he was really (you know) giving the people the understanding, that look, if you could see this under the law and… okay, 2 Corinthians 3:6, It says: (6) Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. Now, back there in the Old Testament you had to go letter by letter, but there was still motivation that was induced into it. Like for instance, you can't work on the Sabbath, but if the calf falls in the ditch you pull it out. See, and things like that. (7) But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which was to be done away: (8) How shall not the ministration of the spirit be (particularly, tremendously more) glorious? ('rather glorious', literally means 'almost without bounds', so there's no comparison.) So, he's saying here now, here is a word that was given at the time of Moses literally by God, and the Spirit Himself was not indwelling the people. And they had something that they did just by mechanical effort. And he said, "If that caused a glory (in other words and expression from God) how much greater will be the expression (expression) of God and from God under the literal presentation of living Word by the Holy Spirit?" (9) (Now) if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness (exceeding) glory. (10) For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. Now, he's taking you back there to Solomon. And he says there, "Solomon, fine man, build a temple." And God came into the temple where He was in the midst of the people, but He wasn't literally indwelling the people. As Bro. Branham said, "The closest of the Old Testament you could approximate what we have now, is the baptism with the Holy Ghost would be in a prophet." So that you can see where we stand. Now, he said, "That had no glory in this respect by reason of the glory that excelleth." 12. Now, as you come to the end-time, you come more and more from every Word in the beginning that was sent forth coming closer and closer until the hand, the negative comes right to the positive. Or, the word is no longer a word it is that reality. Now, we're coming to the place that that which given (which was tremendous) to the place where the complete Word is now into a reality which is the seed in harvest form. It's been coming up, coming up, coming up until we're right ready for the reproduction of the complete Body of Jesus Christ in glorified form. Now, he says, that the glory that was there wasn't any glory by reason of the glory that is excelling, because all that did was drag you down. See, they went down, down, down to where they crucified the Lord of glory in human flesh. The Prince. (See?) Now, this One though does not work that way. It gets greater and greater, and greater until It comes to where It says, "We with unveiled faces." [2 Cor 3:18] Now, the faces started to get veiled in the first age. At the end-time the faces are completely unveiled until we come to the very image which we were meant to assume. "That as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall bear the image of the heavenly." [1 Cor 15:48] 13. Now, you'll notice then what he's saying, "A Greater than Solomon is here." (See?) The thing is He is here unveiled, revealed, we're in His Presence, Head of the Church in order to raise the dead. And we are about to see the dead come forth, because they'll come down to pick their bodies up, and then we're going to be changed. And of course, when you come to that place you have come to the ultimate. Not that we become God, no way shape or form, but we are to the ultimate where in the level continuously God is All and in all. At this point God is not All and in all, because our bodies… (first of all, we have a spirit that's allowed of God, but not from God, that spirit is just goes any old which way; except for the stabilization that lies in the soul.) the body itself is an expression of death. So, you have two variables against one invariable. And the invariable is a truly born again soul. Because that's got a tie post, "the wheel in a wheel." [Ezek 1:16] Now, you got two to one. You got a bad proportion here. (See?) Well, we're waiting and coming to the place when the body is changed and the whole of man is in this realm. Now, of where he can launch off into whatever God has designed for the future, wherein there is no variable. There's nothing in there that has a shadow of turning, you come right to the peak. 14. And Bro. Branham said, "That a Greater than Solomon is here." In other words, the Judge in the potential, the King, it's all here taking us right into the very greatness of Almighty God. And that was great back there in the days of Solomon. But, it doesn't even cut, we're way, way down the road. Many people would be happy to settle for something like Solomon. They're happy in Pentecost to settle for gifts, and it looks like a lot of people around us are happy to settle. I'm not. My settlement is "Greater than Solomon is here." And that was not William Branham. Before there was a gift, now there is the Giver. (See?) Before there was a matter of certain manifestations, and now there is the Manifestor. Previously, there were certain marks and demonstrations of life, and that has always been good. But now, the Life if here. "And we all with unveiled faces beholding in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed in the same image from glory to glory as by the Spirit of the Lord." [2 Cor 3:18] Now, there's been a glory that has been given to the Church when the church identified, fell in the ground and died, she began coming back under Luther, Wesley, Pentecostal's and now the very Person Himself is here. A Greater than Solomon is here. In fact, the Bible says it's about kings, "The heart of kings is in the hand of the Lord, even as rivers of waters, and he turneth them whether He will." [Prov 21:1] 15. So, what you got here as Bro. Branham said, "You can look back and people marvel, but that's the trouble they always look back." Then they always look forward, but they forget that a Greater is here. They didn't look. They didn't look. What they saw just…well, "This is the way God does things, great ministries, hallelujah, let's win the world." The world is not meant to be won. I've said myself, "How in the world can anybody have an ounce of spiritual intelligence in the Light of the Word of God that says 'the whole world is going to go after the beast'?" How in the world can you have salvation wrought out unto immortality, at the same time that it's going to go down? It won't work. It won't work. It just…they are, they were so wrapped up in their theology, their traditions, that no matter what Bro. Branham said, they wouldn't pin it down to what he was really saying, you see. And that's when I'm afraid of that we have so much around the…even around this Message. People are running with everything until they're absolutely into abject sin. They're just into absolute sin is what they are into. 16. Okay, that's about what I'm thinking on that subject. And no doubt would think a whole lot more if I just recently heard the tape. I haven't heard it for a long time. But, that's what he's talking about. A Greater One is here, He is here. I'm not running around the world. He said, "I'm not riding the midnight trail screaming, 'He's coming'." He said, "He's already done come." The Presence. By the way, do you know I mentioned that the Jehovah Witnesses you know, understood the Presence? I kind of always used to think it was Rutherford. But it wasn't, it was Russell, way back in about 1876 or so. Russell had received a letter from a friend who had got a hold of the Diaglott, maybe this is one reason God let Bro. Branham get a hold of the Diaglott when he did. And he said he found in Matthew 24, that the Diaglott said, "Presence," and as he [Russell] began to study the Word, he found out that that word 'presence' then was not what people thought it was. It didn't refer to the actual advent, but it referred to the fact the person was already there. And that's when Russell said, "This could not be physical, this has to be spiritual, has to be the Spirit." And of course this is already the scarecrow, as I warned you before has been set amongst us. You're going to say, "You're Jehovah Witness." Well, they might as well go a step farther, I'm Jehovah Witness, also on the ground I don't believe in eternal hell. Now, if they want to believe in one, I certainly hope they get what they're after. [laughter] And you say, "Why?" Because they're dishonoring God. If they want to spit in God's face and tell God what to do, that's their business. Go on. 17. Look, you see brother/sister, God doesn't pay no mind to anybody. He, (you know) told those bunch way back there years ago, He said, "God is not a man that He changes His mind." And He doesn't. Now, He can let things slide, and He can put limits back and forth, but the day is coming when that thing closes right down the line. Like Bro. Branham said that, "For time after time God put off the fact of Ahab's death." But there came a day when Ahab would have his…you know his blood would flow. Dogs licked his blood, just like they chomped on his wife, when they threw her down, she sort of exploded in the street, and she was a pretty gory mess. Even when she was alive she was. And it came to pass. It came to pass, you know. You know, a lot of people as I say, I believe in being nice. When you're nicer than God, there's something wrong with you. I'm not blood thirsty. Now people might think I am, I'm not gory minded, not for one minute. I would draw back just as quick. But, look, we're at the end now where there is only one thing left and that's judgment. And "judgment begins at the house of God." [1 Pet 4:17] Then It says, "Where shall the wicked and the ungodly appear," [1 Pet 4:18] if judgment begins here? Well, what did the Judging Word do, with the One Greater than Solomon? 18.You know what It did? It knocked out over ninety nine percent of all the Christians. You say, "Do you believe that?" Sure, there's seven hundred and fifty million Christians. "Well," you say, "I don't believe they're Christians." Yes they are, they're not Mohammedan's. They're not Taoists. They're not the Shiites, that's another brand of your Muslims. They're Christians, I don't care if they're Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox's, you name it. Baptist, Methodist, it's all witchcraft. Knocked out. It knocks out ninety nine percent I think it's a pretty lenient estimate. I think Bro. Branham said, "Not one thousandth of one percent," or something. I'm not going to get radical now. [laughter] In case we just close shop and go home. Now, we're going to make it. 19. All right, what else you got? [Question three: comes away from microphone] Carelessness. He named it, he said, "That he is not afraid of…" (I wish I could get the exact quote, but I know just what you're after)…the thought is I recall without the exact quote is, is that… let's go to Matthew 13, then we'll be a little on more on target. Although he didn't use Matthew 13, he literally took us there. Now, he said here in Matthew 13:22. [paraphraised] "He also that received (word) seed among the thorns as he that heareth the Word. And the care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches (which is Laodicea) choked the Word, becomes unfruitful." Now, he said that what he was worried about, (I can't remember what he said he wasn't worried about, because my mind is a blank on that right now, I'm sorry,) but, he said he was worried that they wouldn't be involved with the Word as they ought to be. And my understanding of that was, that they put the Message to one side. Now, this is being done and has been done ever since Bro. Branham was on the scene. Because, he should have come up through Pentecost, but like one born out of due season, like Paul, he wasn't a part of Pentecost. Now, he was with them, because they were the only ones that would receive him, with his very strange ministry. But the Pentecostals did receive him. 20. But, he was a part of them. And so many people, because of his association with them, and his approval of the gifts which approval was that they were available and should be amongst us but under order. So many people (you know) got careless about this Message and never saw the importance of the impact of the Word upon the believer. So therefore, their carelessness and the cares of this world really are what he was afraid of, would take us from what should have and what we should be, which of course it would be the maturing. And he was afraid that they would just leave the Word go to one side instead of making It, like It says over in Malachi. [3:] "They that feared the Lord and thought often upon His Name, came and they spake often one to another, and the Lord hearkened unto them, and a Book of remembrance was (you know) written concerning them. And He said, they'll be mine when I make up my jewels." 21. So, that's what Bro. Branham was afraid of, because you see, already the Christians had been thoroughly taught in just about every facet of conduct. And where there was any question as to dress and hair and those things, the prophet settled them very quickly. And he said very little, I don't know that he laid down ten mechanical precepts. I don't know that he did, I doubt it. I couldn't think of ten at this point anyways. All I remember is that men are supposed to act like men, they couldn't wear women's clothes and act like women. And women couldn't wear men's clothes and act like men. And men had to cut their hair, and women couldn't cut their hair, and anything else pretty well, it has already been covered. But there were certain things he had to settle as to conduct, and he settled them. But, he was worried concerning their carelessness and not giving full attention to the Word. That is the Word which he preached, which in plain English in my books is doctrine. And if you want to put into the sweeter context, it is the revelation of Christ. But, that's the worry he had. And you can see it happening all over. 23. [Question four: comes away from microphone] That's the same thing, it brings up the same thing again, for a person to recognize constantly the Presence of the Lord. You see, Bro. Branham was so reverent he told the people there was a tremendous lack of sincerity, and he said, (that's another thing that really bothered him, that's the point you're bring up you see, with this and that's good,) that tremendous lack of sincerity is because there's not a dedication to Him Who is the Word as well as to the Message of that same Word. Because He Who came here is Logos. He brought His Own revelation to us, because it's the same One Who was in the Pillar of Fire, that spoke to Paul that brought the Word, is now here revealing that Word, because revelation of that Word became downgraded until at the end-time. If you realize that the church was already into spiritual fornication (roughly two thousand years ago) you can understand why there's a harlot with a harlot system. I mean, there's nothing left but a harlot and a harlot system. You wouldn't get one percent. "Come out of her my people," wouldn't leave enough…would leave no more a hole in the world churches, which is all the churches almost anymore then you can put your finger in a bucket of water, and leave a hole in the water. There's no more noticed than nothing. Because, you could claim two hundred thousand people to have an inkling, or some type of a loyalty to this Message as taught by the prophet. And what's two hundred thousand out of seven hundred and fifty million or better? 24. I think myself that Bro. Branham must have had in mind over here the very thing I mentioned the other day, (last Sunday) in revelation 3:15. (15) I know (your) works, thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou (were) cold or hot. Now, that's the Laodicean church. You see, the Laodicean church is already so steeped into the anointing that which in itself is not the discerning. See, you could can…(look it) see, you can be anointed to everything under high heaven. Good works especially and all these ministries, and where does it leave you? Well, leaves you right out in the cold where he says, "The Word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword." [Heb 4:12] See, it's not with them. And, "Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight." [Heb 4:13] And they refuse the revelation of themselves, which has been made manifest. And the revelation is that they're, "Wretched, miserable, poor blind and naked." [Rev 3:17] Now, you tell any church member that. Now, the Pentecostal's they'll go along with that, as long as you're not talking about them. [laughter] Because, you see, they've got a lot going for them. They say, "Well, that's the Baptist, and the Catholics, and (you know) both kinds of Catholic's, the Eastern Orthodox, Greek, and Roman Catholic's in the West and so on, and so on. And that no doubt a bunch of Baptist, because (you know) they believe in eternal security, it's nothing to them, it's just a bunch of hogwash. And they'll (you know) but, on the other hand you go to anybody in any church and when you get the… 25. Look, it's like the seven candle branches on a lamp stand, the further away from the oil, the less they manifested. Well, the First Church Age lost its oil inside of roughly two hundred years or less. Well, how much oil is there left in the original churches way back there? Whether you want to identify it to Roman Catholic or not, which is pretty hard to, because it had already died. The fact that they allowed paganism to come in, it just showed where they were. Paganism coming in didn't do it, what it was, was already there. Paganism showed what it was. (See?) It's like a man that steals. Stealing doesn't make him a thief. He's a thief, that's why he steals. Well, he was already a mess back there. Now, you come up to the place where that church has run its course and say sixteen hundred solid years, or seventeen hundred. Man, that church hasn't got a thing. And yet, you go and say, "Hey, you're wretched, you're miserable, you're naked, you're blind." [Rev 3:17] They say, "What are you talking about? Why we are the oldest and greatest." Now, anybody knows anything old, unless it doesn't have qualities of corruption isn't worth a plug-nickel. Really. And they'll try to tell you they're incorruptible? (Fap!) They've changed doctrine and everything else down through the ages. Done a lot of things. 26. So, it's pretty hard to get these people to recognize the fact that there are a very lukewarm people. There's nothing much too them, and in this hour when the Greater than Solomon is here, they leave Him standing outside the door knocking, they do not invite Him in. There is no room to change the mind. How could you make a person change his mind when you preach repentance, which is a change of mind? When you say, "You're wretched, you're miserable, you're poor, you're naked, you're blind." And he says, "Hold it, I am rich and increased in goods, and I don't need a thing." Now, if you don't need a thing, you've already got everything you need to put you in the Resurrection and Rapture. That's not what the Bible says. Because, when you're talking that you don't need a thing, you're talking about getting to the place (where I mentioned a while ago) that higher realm, where now that you're truly regenerated from out of the ground, that your body is truly redeemed. There's no effect in you, or around you, that causes any wavering, you're solid as with the solidness of God. Well you're a…these people sure are just aren't going to change their minds. They're not going to listen to any Message at the end-time that they need a visitation. That there's Someone here trying to get in to the church. 27. Okay, anything else? [Question five:] given from floor away from microphone] It's a true spirit all right. It's truly the spirit, but it's only a gift. And it's the life behind the gift that causes these manifestations. Let's get into here, 1 Corinthians 12:1, and then you'll get into understanding, maybe a little bit more. We take a look at It. (1) Now concerning spiritual('s) (that's the things of the spirit brethren, that's the) gifts, I would not have you ignorant. Now, he said: (2) (You) know that (you) were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. (3) Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God (calls) Jesus accursed: and no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. So, he's telling them here that once you were literally under the thralldom [bondage] of devils by your concentration on things which literally carried you off almost into, if not positively into, like, not a coma, but into a trance. Where you're under the influence of a spirit, so that you were not in control of yourself. Now, he said," I want you to know that there is no comparison between what I'm talking about and what you're in as heathen and pagan; because, there's nobody even going to mention anything about Jesus being Lord and so on that's in that. You can't call Him Lord, but by the Holy Ghost." 28. So, what he's saying here now, the people that are truly born again have gifts that are manifested among them, but there is no comparison between demonstration of the Holy Spirit, and demonstration of unholy spirits. They just tells you flat. Now, there are different gifts, but he said, "It's the same Spirit doing it." They're given ministrations, or the way the ministry comes, but it's the same Lord. They're different ways that operates, but it's the same God. But, the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit with on. Now, these are known as 'energies', energies of the Holy Spirit. But, it is not the Holy Spirit Himself, per se, it is actually and literally a gift. Now, "To one is given by the Spirit, the word of wisdom." That's a gift. "To another is given a word of knowledge by the same Spirit." [1 Cor 12:8] Now, the faith by the same Spirit. Now, that's why Bro. Branham said, "When you go to meetings and they're speaking in tongues and prophesying, don't you dare call it the devil, because you'd be blaspheming the Holy Ghost." But, it doesn't say these people are born again. No way. Because at the end-time the two spirits are so close that everybody could be doing the same thing. A man that is no way near being baptized with the Holy Ghost can have a genuine gift, of tongues, a genuine gift of healing and so on. Like Judas, predestinated to be the incarnator, or the body the body that Satan would come into, to literally destroy, or bring in death the One that was the body to be of Almighty God. Now, Judas went around healing the sick. He raised the dead, he even cast out devils. But, it was done by the Holy Spirit. Now, this is what you have to watch very carefully. The only time that you can really put your finger on it, is when you know that it is so contrary to the Word of God, that it couldn't be the Holy Spirit. 29. Now, one thing to remember is, that anybody that claims that he or she is under a power that they cannot control, and that has something right there that you don't find in the Scripture. You don't go out of your mind or something and you have a black out. See, Bro. Branham was a prophet, he could go into a trance, and that was part of his ministry. He was a prophet far beyond a five-fold minister who could have a dream, or a little vision. Bro. Branham was way, way beyond that. God literally spoke lip to ear to that man. (See?) Like He did to Paul, like He did to Moses. And you're in a different category. Then, now you're dealing with like this here. Why he said, these are gifts mentioned here, and then he said, "The body is one of many members, all members are of one body, that's Christ, many members made up here. And there's one Spirit, we're baptized in one body, and the body is not one member, but many." and there shouldn't be any competition. [1 Cor 12:12-14] 30. Well, if these people are of God that are going around the world, and we're going around the world until recently, not as bad as they were, how come they claim they all claim they've got the biggest tent, and a big ministry? Why do they bother about statistics? When did God have statistics? You can tell right now that somebody is saying, “I want you to know, I just may be the foot that believe me I can kick a little higher than you.” It ain't going to work. You can tell by the very set up that it is not of God, but they're genuine gifts, because Satan doesn't cast out Satan. Satan doesn't heal the sick, but it's only gifts. Now, I'm not saying it's only gifts as through you're going to (you know) down grade them. I don't say that, but let's say with the Scripture, the Scripture warns us that at the end time the two spirits are so close, that there can be manifestations (you see) from simply an anointing, but the person is not genuinely born again, because he's turned down the Word. 31. Now, let's face it, let's go back and see the original death trap. Psalms 68:18. (18) Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might (and they put) dwell among them. But, you notice right here what he's saying: "When the Lord is dwelling among them you've got two. One is real, and one is not real. Now the gift, the men I'm talking about are real, or not real. The gifts are real. Now, (let me see) that goes back to Numbers 16. (1) Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men: (2) And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: (3) … they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy,… Now you see, that's the same thing that you've got right today. "Well, everybody's got the Holy Ghost, who needs a teacher? What's all this stuff? I don't need anybody, the Holy Ghost teaches me." You see, I had a little bit to do with Pentecost. Haw! (3) …every (one's holy) the LORD is among them: (see, the Lord's among them) wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD? (4) And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face: (5) And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will show who are his, and who is holy;… 32. Now, these boys were prophesying. They had the goods. Now, they said, "We are the sanctified ones. We are the election, (and they were of Israel) we are the predestinated. Now, we got evidence that from these gifts our prophecy and all these things, we're on the ball just as much as you are." And he said, (5) (…I'll let you know who's going) to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him. (6) This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his (assembly); (7) And put fire therein, put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: (you) take too much upon you, (you) sons of Levi. Now, Moses wasn't saying, "Now look, the congregation doesn't have something." He wasn't saying that the congregation (you know) wasn't legitimately there. But you see, they were completely out of order. And Moses said in verse 8: (8) And Moses said…(I hear you) I pray you, sons of Levi: (9) Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them? (Now you see, they were ministers.) (10) And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek the priesthood also? (11) For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that (you) murmur against him? Now notice, he pitted them right against God, and they had gifts. "Many will come in that day and say, 'Lord, Lord and prophesied in Thy name, cast out devils," (and I what to worship.) "I never knew you." [Mt 7:22-13] 33. Now you see, this is election right here. (12) And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: (they) said, (We'll) not come up: (13) Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us? Now you see, these guys are getting pretty lippy. Now, they've been prophesying and everything else. (14) Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up. (15) And Moses was very wroth, and said… Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them. (16) And Moses said (to) Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow: (17) …every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer. (18) And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron. (19) And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation. 34. Now you see, this is the ministry you're dealing with here and the one that God put over a ministry. Moses was over it. (20) And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, (21) Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. (22) And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation? (23) And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, (24) Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. Now you see, they had their own tabernacle. They made their own little place, and they said, "Let me tell you something, God's with us and we're going to prove it. Don't you tell me now, just because you brought the Word here and you had a ministry that you've got anything superior to us. And we're the body of Christ, you just get out of our hair." (24) Speak unto the congregation, Get you up from about the tabernacle… (25) And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him. (26) And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins. (27) So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, their wives, and their sons, and their little children. (28) And Moses said, Hereby (we) shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind. 35. Now you see, there you are right there. Prophet won't do one thing, except the mind of God. These fellows just went about doing anything they wanted to do. See, what they were doing, these people were using God, whereas God was using Moses. (29) (Now) these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; the LORD hath not sent me. (30) But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit;… Now you see, that's coming at the end of the time when He's comes back here on earth with a Bride. Yes sir, they're burnt to a crisp and they go right down to a pit. Now, that's not the Lake of Fire, that's not the White Throne Judgment. That's coming in our day. (30) …then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD. (31) …it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder under them: (32) …the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. (33) They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit,… How can you be alive into the pit, they didn't take bodies with them. They dropped straight in. Just like the rich man lifted up his eyes in Hades and he said, "Hey, (he said) pretty nice situation over there, I'd like to get (you know) a little bit of a deal worked out." He was alive and he had his senses too. (I'll look at those in just a second.) (33) …(and they) went down the pit…and they perished from among the congregation. (34) And all Israel that were round about fled at the cry of them: (and) they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also. (35) And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense. (36) And the LORD (said to) Moses… (37) Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed. Now notice, the gifts that is the censers which signifies to me the gifts of these men were genuine, but they were antichrist. Anti-word. 36. Let's go back to Luke 16 just for something here to look at. Now, this is where Bro. Branham said, this rich young man that died was the former rich man (young man) who turned down Christ and following Him. Was the same one that said, "I got so many crops and I haven't got enough barns, so I'll build bigger barns that my soul may enjoy them. Soul, (you know) take leave, eat and drink." And God said, "This night thy soul is required of thee." And then this man is in hell, in lower sheol, and he lifts his eyes being in torment. And It said here that he sees Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom, and he cries and said, "have mercy on me." [Lk 16:22-23] So there, (you know) you can see that the sensate, he wants to be satisfied and gratified. Like the soul it's longing for something down there. He wants water on his tongue. He's tormented. Shows also that he can (you know) in an area where there's sensibility. And then he says here to him, he says, "I got five brothers, let Lazarus testify to them." Notice, he's still down there in his soul, because there's the element of love down there. He loves his brethren. He said, "Well, don't let them come down here." [Lk 16:28] See, these people…there's a picture here of a…the completely sensate in the sense of being able to comprehend and go through these various things that people go through. And he's down here in Hades, that's where these other men went. So, okay that kind of covers that what we had in mind. 37. [Question six:] put forward away from microphone] For us only. For us only. Bro. Branham said, "We'll all be caught up in the air (which is true) and it goes in ranks." Like the last are first, and the first are last. Because we are living on earth here, it is been told us by Paul that we will be mingling with those who come up out of the ground. Naturally, they will be in our age. Then six comes up, five comes up, four comes up, three, two, one. But the order is reversed. Now, because we are walking around here, and we are known, so there will not be anybody privy to the fact that the Bride is gone. Bro. Branham said, "They'll go a few at a time, that group over a period of time." But the others six of the seven will likely just mount up. But then, you see, you must remember too, what is time when you are in the immortal? It won't mean a thing, see? You know, they could be up there five thousand years ahead of us. And you say, "Hey, where did I see you five minutes ago?" (You know.) It's not that way. But, you know what I mean? 38. So, we will be there with them. And another thing remember, that this is only a dimension. Even the very word 'heaven' simply means 'elevated place'. I doesn’t mean necessarily a way up. So, when Christ was being caught up, what does it really mean? Well, here stood men and they looked up. See, it doesn't mean too much, because when you're…because that could only be a matter to satisfy the senses. A matter to give him a momentary understanding, or to satisfy them for the time being. But, really it strikes Bro. Branham said concerning television and radio, "The waves are going right through this room." In fact, some people have a theory that's why so many people have cancer, because these emanations are going through all the time. And people are little receiving sets, and it's breaking down the body. Well, you've got the same thing in the spirit world. I our eyes were opened, we've be like the time that Elisha was with Gehazi, and the Assyrian army had surrounded Elisha and his young servant. And he got so scared he said, "What will we do?" And Elisha, he said, "Oh Lord, (he said) open this young man's eyes." [2 Kg 6:16-18] And he could see greater are they with us, then they out there. And when the Lord let him open his eyes to see into the dimension (which was right around him) there was a tremendous army of angels and man, they just…they're wouldn't be one Syrian living. Just literally could destroy them. But, what did he do? He allowed them to be blinded. And so he let the whole army go on down to the king of Israel. And the king said, "Shall I kill them?" He said, "Don't kill them." He said, "Just let that be a lesson to them," he said, "these guys better smarten up, there's a prophet in Israel." 39. It's just too bad that our prophet wasn't allowed to do those things. You wait until Elijah and Moses come on the scene in the three and a half years. Then you'll really see something. No, that little progression is there. It's just for the ones standing here. (See?) Let's face it, if we really are in the Message we are really a part of this Word. What the prophet said is how we believe it. Let's get this flat: I don't expect anybody to be caught out of the Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox, only out of our groups. Now, that could make people pretty suspicious, so therefore, it could be. And then at the same time there could be so many cataclysmic things going on. You know, look at the way the West Coast is being hit by more storms. I thought they were all over, but I talked to Harold just the other morning, and he was telling me that he's in touch with his brother out there (two brother's) and he said they're not effected in the sense that (you know) their heads beat off or anything. But he was telling me… Santa Monica was it? I think he might have mentioned it was Santa Monica, the big pier down there that stood all the storms were forty three years has collapsed, was washed out. 40. So, another man has said concerning that layer of California is on something like (I think he said) there's a layer of clay. And he said if water ever gets in there, she goes (phfft!) down the ocean. So, there may be things shaping up. And anyway, I gave up going to California. I could have gone. I thought of it. I'm not afraid. I just prayed about it, and I couldn't get the feeling to go. I had a good rate, two hundred dollars returned trip, you can't beat that. Then I thought, well, I could go there and spend a couple of hundred dollars a day and end up with about fifteen hundred dollars, little vacation. I thought that was nice. And I thought, well, I could spend that better being nice to people if I…especially myself. [Bro. Vayle chuckles] No use kidding…rather than (you know) I don't know, don't care to go. That's it, that's how it goes. 41. [Question seven: from the floor inaudible] Well, I wish you hadn't asked that, because that's something that is vague to me at this point, because Bro. Branham used the word 'The soul is the seed, it's a gene'." He said, "It's our theophany." And when he says all those things, and I haven't looked at them to the extent that I can put them in their place, I can't help you too much. Now, I'm going to have to let that one ride. We'll come back, I'm looking at those things, Dave, but until I a little more of the knowledge that I'm interested in, I just got to let other things sort of (you know) filter into it. 42. [Question eight:] "We get into this Presence at the end time, is it as simple a concept in the mind as a person maybe coming in to a new town; and there's just a person there, and pretty soon maybe become sheriff of that town And pretty they become mayor, and pretty soon more or less take over the town. See, the Presence, I know the prophet used the terminology not to where a different man in a play. Is it just a simple concept?" All right now, we're getting to where you got to… that's a very good question. Now, Bro. Branham said, "The Holy Spirit is coming more and more into the Church." And he starts back in the days of Luther, that the measure of the Spirit, and the measure of the Word is identical. Now, let's not kid ourselves, that he's talking about the baptism with the Holy Ghost. (See?) Now, that's what people are thinking. Your thinking must go on that, because you could have eighty million people full of the Holy Ghost in the time of Luther very doubtful. Maybe, million, couple of million. Then during Luther's age, maybe six million, I don't know. All right, if there was eighty million back there, Wesley could have in his age a hundred and twenty million. Pentecost could have five hundred million baptized with the Holy Ghost. But, Lutheran's are not Luther. Wesleyan's are not Wesley. And Pentecost, I can't tell you about that, because they sprung up. But, each one had a revelation and a measure of the Spirit to lifein, infuse, quicken that Word of that hour. (See?) Now, the quickened Word scattered amongst the people brought the people to a recognition, "repent and be baptized," and they received the Holy Ghost. 43. Now notice: under Luther, justification a measure. So, you're coming into something, you're moving. Word and life. Wesley, way beyond it. Pentecost, way beyond it. And we to the place there's no more to come, history ran out. So, we're at fourth stage which is deliverance. Which is the measure of the Holy Spirit, and the measure of the Word. Now, let's watch, Revelation 10:1. (1) And I saw another mighty (messenger) come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: a rainbow was upon his head, his face (like) he sun, his feet as pillars of fire: (That's Christ.) All that God was, poured into Christ. That's Christ, actually we know that's the One that we saw up there on the Throne coming down. Now, verse 7, is the Seventh Church Age messenger which we are under. (7) …in the days of the voice of the seventh (messenger), when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be (completed, polished entirely, finished off,) as he hath declared (the good news of the Gospel) to his servants the prophets. So, now you've got the fullness of the Word and the fullness of the Godhead. And It's come more and more and more. 44. Now, let's prove it. Go back to 1 Corinthians 13. All right, verse 9. (9) For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. Now who's that? That's not a bunch of people in the church prophesying with gifts, that's the apostle Paul. "Well," you say, "I don't think he puts that in the plural." Well, I'm glad you said that. I said it for you, because we get real chummy here in a minute or two. All right, let's find out, 1 Corinthians 2:11. (11) For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. (12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Now, let's go a little further. Let's go to 1 Corinthians 14. And Paul said: (36) What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only? (37) If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. (See?) So all right, you got…he said, "In the Church Ages there is a measure of the Word, and the measure of the Spirit, they're together." The baptism with the Holy Ghost is different, because the messenger in each age receives the Word by the Spirit, and that's a Spirit that's in that hour. Seven Spirits before the Throne. Now, I hope it doesn't throw you, because these things are kind of mystic, it's about the best I can do is just say it as it is. 45. Now, at the end-time in chapter 13, Paul himself said in Hebrews concerning this Coming that the revelation of Melchisedec was reserved to the very end. Now, he spoke of Melchisedec, but they couldn't get it, because the measure wasn't there. The Word wasn't there. The revelation to reveal that Word and enliven It to the hour wasn't there. Now, he says, "There's coming a time when we no longer know in a part." [1 Cor 13:9] Why? Because, the Gospel is finished, and the prophets always bring things in part. Now, what was Jesus Himself, but the whole of All of it back in His day. Who is All of it today? The same Logos. Not in the flesh, corporate body, corporal body, but down here communicating to the prophet. Because you see, in the days of Paul, the Gospel was started, It wasn't finished. "Other foundation can no man lay, then that which is laid." [1 Cor 3:11] We're not dealing with foundation now, we're dealing with Capstone. So, what you see here is at the end-time. There is no more Holy Spirit to come into the church, there is no more Word. So, all the people that's baptized with the Holy Ghost become heir to the full revelation. And to the full fulfillment of the Gospel. Which means we're going to be standing here and changed immortal. That couldn't happen before. The Holy Spirit wasn't here to do it. There's no way. So, that's what you're really looking at here. And it is as simple as you said, "the guy becomes a sheriff, then he becomes the judge, then he becomes the mayor and pretty soon he's running the whole town." And that's what It said, "He comes down, sets Himself the Head of the Church in order to raise the dead." And when He comes down, He begins the super end-time movement, which starts in the Bride to get her to the place where the dead can come out of the ground. And He sets Himself at the Head of the Church, and when He does, it's from that point on that that Spirit begins working to put all things under His feet. And He does. And even when that Spirit of God is in Jesus Christ incarnated. It's still working, because He comes right down here and takes the antichrist over, renovates the earth and so on. And it's only at the end time when the Kingdom is handed back to the Father, which is the Pillar of Fire above the Throne. (Yeah.) 46. [Question nine: low volume] Now, that's been here. That's been here, the sweet Spirit simply means that…my own understanding is this, that sweet Spirit coming into the Church to me, means that the dead are already amongst us in spirit form. I'm not saying I'm right on that. But, Bro. Branham said, "When you begin talking about a departed Christian a real Saint." and he said, "You say those nice things about him, pretty soon the room fills with a sweet atmosphere," he said, "That's the spirit of that person." And I believe that is scriptural. But, that's what you're seeing here. You see, you're seeing that the Holy Spirit coming more and more into the Church. You see? You're seeing more and more coming in, because remember, everything comes from the Head. And when there's nothing more to come down from the Head, the Head Himself, yep, got to come down. Why? Because that's the way it was in the beginning in the fullness of time. 47. Now, let's just find out. Go back to Revelation 10. (1) …I saw another mighty (messenger) come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: a rainbow was upon his head, (these were the pillars of fire) his face as the sun… And yet It says, verse 6, he said, "at that time, time's running out." And then It says in verse 7, "the Gospel runs out." No more Gospel, no more baptism with the Holy Ghost. No more coming more and more. Here He is right here in the Church. And my revelation of that is: I no longer see a Bride scattered. I see her one by the Word. I don't care if she's in Timbuktu. As a real genuine place called Timbuktu, where is it? [West Africa] What do I care. If there's part of a Bride there, I feel that I'm with that [African]. I mean, now listen, this sounds crazy unless you're as crazy as I am. And I hope you are. Because if you're that crazy you're in trouble. Because I haven't lost my mind, got the full mind of Christ yet. But, I'm going to tell you what: I see no problem, He's here. Well, I'll just be honest with you, you see, I've already come to the place in my understanding where time has run out. I'm starting to breath that rarefied atmosphere, that's why my breath is getting short. [laughter] Well, you might as well have a good attitude. Yes, that's where we're at brother, we're right into it. He's here, that's the fullest of the Holy Spirit, the fullest of the Word. And remember, Bro. Branham said, "The flesh of the Holy Spirit is the Word." He said, "You're not feeding on the words of a man, you're feeding on the Body Word of the Lord Jesus Christ." He's right here. I believe that. (Yeah) As I say It has no problem to me. Look, when a glorified body can go through a mountain of lead fifty miles, solid miles thick faster than a thought, how would I not have Him miss the Bride? Well, I guess, I don't know, I don't understand people's thinking. I just…maybe I got my own, I'm wrong, but I like what I got. 48. [Question ten: from floor, inaudible] Okay, now you remember that Peter and these men are predestinated to deal with the First Church Age. The church is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ the chief Cornerstone. So, these men here are the originals (especially Peter) who broke the Word to Israel and to the Gentiles, though he was not the apostle to the Gentiles, Paul was. Now, when He had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonas lovest thou me more than these?" [Jn 21:15] And now remember, they were…he was concerned with the fishing, because they had gone out fishing. Now notice, let's take a look a little further here. Let's go right back to [John] 21: (1) After these things Jesus (showed) himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; (I think that's the sea of Galilee) and on this wise (showed) he himself. (2) There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. (3) Simon Peter (says), I go fishing. Now remember, Jesus had already said, "I'm going to meet you in Galilee down there and I want you to meet me down there." And they plumb forgot, they said, We're going fishing." 49. Now, I want to just think a minute here. You know, everyone of us in this building, and I perhaps…I don't know that I'm the least legal of all of you, I think I'm a whole lot more legal than I want to admit. And don't agree with me too fast, or I'll come down there and hit you with a "froze cot." [loud laughter] [Frozen cat term Bro. Vayle has also used in Easter Seal # 10] But, I'm going to tell you what, we are very legal without putting everything back on Him. Now, these men had already known and talked with Him Who was Resurrected. And they were supposed to go and meet Him. And, what do you think happened with those fellows that they said…now they would had to say something like this: "Hey, you think maybe we…now we couldn't have but…boy I don't know. Was that some kind of a dream? Was that John the Baptist for real? Now you see, up here he said he was in the midst of them, the door being shut he said, 'Peace'. And He said, 'Thomas, hey, okay boy, you asked for it, reach out your finger, behold my hand. Reach your hand, thrust in my side, come on, there's a hole there, go ahead push it in. You won't get any blood in your hands, don't worry'. Thomas said, 'My Lord and my God'." Now, down here, old 'Didymus', they go fishing. He said, "Children have you any meat?" The said, No sir." "Cast the net on the right side of the ship, you shall find." Now, why would they listen to that man on the shore? Oh four feet? Ha, four feet and the fish are there, not four feet here? I thought fish swam around pretty fast. They dart around. These must have been sitting like, dead skate. So they cast the net in, and, they brought in all those fish. And, Simon Peter said, “It's got to be God, it's got to be the Lord.” How come they didn't recognize Him? 50. Now, what I'm trying to tell you is this: you and I have problems, because we know our faith is not perfect in the sense that we still have problems in the flesh. What about this, what about that? Am I the kind of guy that's going to make it? Look, if these guys can make it, anybody could. I never felt so good the day in my life as when I pretty well found out that John the Baptist who said, "That's the One, that's the One, that's the One." [Later?] said, "Hey, are you really the One?" See, what makes you feel good? Because, he was a man. (Shoo!) That made me feel good about God becoming a man. You better believe it. Tempted in all points like as we are. "Oh boy, he made it, okay, I'm going to make it with him, because He's going to take me with Him," see? Now, these fellows here, look, they're not just as wonderful as you think. Nobody is. Nah, now He's down there, they sit with the Lord, maybe they've got their stomach's full, like there in Luke there, He picked up some fish and ate a sandwich with them. And said, "I'm back, yes sir, I'm back I'm eating a fish sandwich with you." 51. And you know what? They wondered about their relationship. You know, what are you going to do about this thing? What's it all about, really? This is the third time that Jesus showed Himself. [Bro. Vayle chuckles] I wonder if you and I ever really saw the Pillar of Fire what would happen? Don't ask. I think it's possible we could be very, very convinced, and then again, (phfft!) who knows? Third time, now they're eating and He said, "Simon Peter, do you love me more than this?" In other words, can you get away from all the naturalness now, then come right in the supernatural? That you're dealing with a reality that you've never dealt with before, and you've got to make a decision. Now He said, "Do you love these more than you love me?" Is your propensity, as Bro. Branham said these things out here that make us careless, make us less sincere, the things of life, the little things creep in, and they stop us from seeing the reality. He said, "Do you love these more than me?" He said, "No." He said, "I know, (he said) you know that I love you Lord, I love you far more than these." And He said, "Feed my sheep." 52. Now, Peter here, God uses… Christ uses the word 'agape', which is the agape of love. Which means 'a divine love'. And Peter said, "Lord, you know I'm fond of you." That's that 'phileo' love. So, He said, His second time, "Do you love me more than these?" And he said, "You know that I love you." In other words, I'm terribly, terribly fond of you. So, He said, "Feed my sheep." And then It says…now listen, we're talking about a glorified Christ. We're talking about a man who said to that One, "Everybody can leave you, but I won't." And he did. Well, he got bumptious enough to cut the priest's ear off. Christ had to attach the ear back on again by grace and mercy, put it back on. And he's the one that cursed and raved and you can't blame him, you understand that. And Jesus is actually grieved, and He said, "Is this the best you can do that you're very fond of me?" And that's when Peter changes, and he said, "You know, (that's that divine deep love, he said,) you know that I love you." And Jesus said, "Feed my sheep." 53. Actually, the Word here in the first is: "rule my sheep, feed my sheep, rule my sheep." The Roman Catholic's they have their Bibles say, "rule, rule, rule." But they're wrong. It's, "rule, feed, and rule." So that it's a ruling by feeding the Word of Almighty God. So, that's the lesson that he's bringing across here, that you have to be full of the Holy Spirit. They weren't at this time and fully dedicated to the reality of your hour before you can really say that you love Him; and before anybody can say that He's worthy or has any way of feeding the sheep of Almighty God. But, you see, at this time Peter was not full of the Holy Ghost. And though he had a revelation he was not to the place without the baptism, to be able to say, "I really do love you." Now, we're in the same area today, we're full of the Holy Spirit, and He is Present amongst us and absolutely in this end-time Appearing I believe that there is an awareness and love that was not there before, and I do believe that the people who are attempting to be beneficial to the people of God, that five-fold ministry; they have only thought in mind, to feed the sheep. And if the sheep will be governed by that Word, not going to them necessarily and saying, "this, that and the other thing." but just leaving the Word out there. And you know how it is, a shepherd doesn't have to go to the sheep unless he's terrible sick and say, "Hey," to the sheep, "there's some nice hay there. Nice green grass," And (you know) actually, the sheep has an needle like nose, and he can get between the rocks. In fact, after the sheep have eaten out of the pasture, the cow and a horse just die on it, because they can lick out every little old (you know) get that nose in there, a little sharp nose in there. A cow's got a big wide nose, a horse can't manipulate, but a sheep's got that pointed nose. And he gets in there and he'll get all that food out. And you don't have to tell a sheep to eat, unless he's terrible sick. Now, all the shepherd's got to do is just lead the sheep by the water, any by the food and that sheep will get nice and fat and everything else will just prosper if he's a true sheep. And if he's a little bit obstreperous [unruly] of course there's way that the shepherd learns, that he takes care of those sheep. 54. But, you see, it's a continuing care in the actual jurisdiction doesn't lie within any minister. It lies within the Word. Like people will say, "Well, Bro. Branham said, now stick with your pastor, and he will see you through. He's ordained to see you through." Well, now look, let's face it, there's a lot of guys out there that I would…well, you know… [laughter] forget it. Forget it, there's no way anybody will tell me that Bro. Branham meant you stick with somebody. Because, he said, "You stick with me and I'll see you through." Look, I figure that I know a fair amount about this Word. You stick with me and you won't be seeing through, …you stick with God. Being around me doesn't mean one thing anymore than being around Bro. Branham. How can these people around Bro. Branham eating and fishing, and everything else, call him Jesus Christ? Hogwash. Well, they got to be nuts. You know, you got faith, let's bring it down to where it is. It's too late (you know) to use pretty titles and pretty things. [low volume]You can't excuse anything in this hour. Look, it's here. That's why the earth is going to get destroyed, because there's nothing left to excuse. "Greater than Solomon is here." So, that's what you're looking at there, Peter, this man wasn't full of the Holy Ghost, he's come plumb across reality, he didn't know what to do with it. Now, there's something within him that wanted it, when he's full of the Holy Ghost that began the great change. The Spirit began bringing the Word back that Christ had told him, and all those things come back. But, you see, they were not in the class of Paul the apostle, they weren't. They were just, (those who) wrote what? As scribes more or less. But, he was a great one that …?... 55. But, this great love in this hour I believe there'll be the perhaps the greatest love in the sense of the true revelation of Him. Like the Scripture says, "Whom having not seen, you love, and though now you see Him not yet believing (you know) you rejoice with joy unspeakable," and so on. [1Pet 1:8] But, we have actually seen a manifestation of Him to know that He is here full of the Holy Spirit gives us this great love where we do love Him more than anything. And we love this Word more than anything. And I believe it's going to grow, grow, and grow, until nothing but the Word counts. I found that the most satisfaction. There's nothing but the Word counts, and if I just follow that bent, every cloud has a silver lining that's not a golden lining. Let's rise at this time. Heavenly Father, we are grateful again that we have had fellowship one with another, and perhaps even some thoughts been corrected or some thoughts enlarged and blessed, which is always a blessing to talk of Thy great mercy. And to especially know that what we used to know in part, now there is no more parts. And if You're here, the revelation's here. "That which is perfect is come." Here He stands, You stand, Lord. And it's just marvelous, marvelous, Lord, that as You were God becoming man for us, now we, man, not becoming God, but coming up to the stature that You've vindicated for us. which is in Your image, and physically glorified. And that's it, we're happy with that, Lord Just as the man said, he said, "I'm going to be satisfied when I wake in Your likeness.” Paul said that. Like Job who knew there's coming a day he'd stand on the earth and see his Redeemer. Oh what a day that was, I believe Job came out of the ground back there in that first half of the First Resurrection. What a day that's going to be, see, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, it has not entered into our hearts," Lord, at this time. We just know there's something vague in there that is forming, and we know that even though it is vague to us, it is real, and one of these days it's going to be no longer vague, but that Seed which was becoming, is going to be here and we're going to be It. And we're all going to be one and beautiful, just beautiful. We thank You for it. Now, Father, we pray for everybody here in Divine Presence, especially the question what Bro. Branham was worried about if he was, which he was that the affairs of this life, the old Laodicean spirit could get a hold of us, and we not devote ourselves as we should. And we want that, Lord, help us to just let everything go by the board. Lord, You've proved it to me and I can't believe for one minute there aren't others here in this building hasn't been proved to them, that "Put ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all shall be added to you." Lord, I don't believe that…there's nobody can take that from me, there's nobody because You gave it to me. And that Word stands tonight for everyone here. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God." Oh, yes, yes, we're going in because He's already here coming without observation and a sweep going over a Bride. Oh my, the Saints of the Most High possess it too, they possess the Kingdom. Yes Sir, Lord, we got Your Word on that and we're not going to take one step back for anybody, or anyone. That Word has got to come to pass. Yes Sir, We're so thankful for It, Lord. We pray for healing virtue, Lord, amongst Your people, give us an impetus, an increase in these things, O God. And a greater virility and a joy in these things. I believe You're going to do it, I believe You are doing it. I'm looking forward, Lord, to another step higher. Oh yes, another step higher, higher, higher, deeper, deeper. Yes, yes, Lord, that's exactly where we stand in our faith tonight. And that's it, we know that, and we've got You to thank for it. We're very happy for that. So, we commend ourselves to You, Lord, You're grace and mercy, and we just…we know a song that use to say, "He's got better things for you, more than my tongue can tell. The Holy Ghost in power surely can see you through. His promises are true, I fix my hope on Jesus, got better things for you." I believe they're all here right now. Yes, I believe that, Lord, I believe in You is everything. In You is the Resurrection. In You is immortality. In You is the Millennium. In You, yes Sir, everyone of those things are in You. No doubt about it. We are Christ and Christ is God. Oh, that settles it. It sure does. We're grateful, Lord. So, we commend ourselves. Thank You for everyone here. Appreciate bringing Peter back amongst us, surely do, appreciate everybody, Lord. Just so grateful, just so thankful. Now, be with us in all things, and unto You we ascribe all the honor and glory in Jesus' Name. Amen. ' Let's sing, take the Name of Jesus with you. Question and Answers (1483) - Page PAGE 24
