Questions Answered Bro. Lee Vayle - February 12, 1978 Shall we just pray: Again Lord Jesus, we ask you to be with us at this time, especially, Lord, we know that Your ever present help in time of trouble, and these questions signify certain troubles of mind and heart, the want to know things. And I know, Lord, I don’t have an answer, but You do have the answer, and I pray that You'll help us now is such a way to bring to our memories those things we ought to know. So, guide and direct us now in our mediations, we'll be careful to give You the praise in Jesus' Name. Amen. You may be seated. 1. Now, I'll just take these questions as they come here, and if I can't answer I'll be honest enough to tell you. Many times, my memory is just not good enough to draw on as to what Bro. Branham said exactly. So, I'll just have to tell you that too. Now, I spent a fine time as far as I've been concerned visiting with you, enjoyed myself, and always happy to be here. And to always have lots of freedom, and I certainly do appreciate that very, very much. And trust we'll be together again sometime, I don't know when, but there's always something worked out somewhere down the line. And I'm just going to make mention this morning's message that I realized that some might wonder how we're going to do these things. Well, the only way you can do it is by just simply forming some type of a plan and doing it. Like I mentioned in the days of Wesley they had their little cells that they all went to, and they'd examine each other, and sort of probe each other. Well, we don't do that, but you can always start in your homes by discussing what was brought to your attention this morning, determining that you'll go about doing it, and the whole family get in on it. And you'll have to make a vow of course, that even if you do get upset and kind of lose your temper that you'll still do what you're supposed to do. You got to start somewhere really if it's going to be done. There's one thing about it that… there's not much time left anyway, if we're going to be proficient in certain things, we have to be expend energy and time on it now with a full heart to do it. So, begin to look at light, the life in the light as we try to describe this morning and I'm sure the Lord will bless you. 2. Now, we'll just take these as I say as they come, the first question is: [ Question 1:] "Where would you draw the line in sports and games? Would it be wrong to invest in all the hockey equipment just to play hockey, or basketball playing with worldly people, or whatever?" Well, now I'll tell you I take kind of a dim view myself of getting too deeply involved in sports, but, I recognize that children must have something to do. And if you don't give them something to do whereby they're going to invest their energies, they’ll find something to do that you won't happy about. Now, years ago of course when, (this even before my time) so I'm not talking about even my day. They used to have to work so hard that their whole time was expended upon making a living. And even little kids had to do it. Well, your problem was solved, they were too busy doing good work to get into trouble. But you start taking away from children their outlets in the none harmful things just a sure as you're alive they'll get into bad things. Now, you got to be prepared for that. And you say, "Would it be wrong to invest in hockey?" Well, it all depends how rough you're going to play. Now, if you want to get professional like, you'd have to have some fair equipment. And of course, if you played like I did, you roll up a magazine for a shin pad, a shin guard, and put it in a tall sock, and you'd mess around and you do your best with a hockey stick that wasn't made out of fiber-glass. I don't know, we had the kind that broke. When they broke, we just played with the stub. Well, if you just have a good time amongst yourselves playing for fun like, I think that's about maybe as far as it ought to go. 3. With basketball, you can easy put up a little rim in the back yard and some kids come in and play. And I wouldn't kick the worldly kids out, I just make sure they didn't act too worldly. Because there's got to be an outlet. So, I think moderation would be the attitude here, but I would never, ever try take from anybody the outlet in sports, hunting, fishing and doing things that have a recreational possibility. Because it's certainly better than sitting around playing old-maid, get some kind of a card game, or even a lotto, or something like that. I believe in activity, but it must be directed, and it must be played down, and it can only be at the right place at the right time. Never over do anything, but… I simply can't see giving up everything. I just can't do it. You’ve got to have some outlet, and so make it a good one. That's a far as I can tell you. 4. [Question 2:] "Is it out of order with the prophet or any other person other than ministers to pray over the communion? And what is the proper way to take it, and who serves it and so forth?" Well, I don't find it wrong for ministers, or elders, or anybody officiating, to pray over the communion. I don't know, just do what you're doing here. You're doing it a certain way, it's bound to be alright. Because there's nothing set down that I know of that's got to be iron-clad. As far as I know church order, I can't remember anything that Bro. Branham said about anyone certain person doing it. I would just figure that those who were serving it would have a part in it. And I don't know that there's any special way to do it. Some people sit in their seats, partake, others come up. It would all depend on which worked the best for you. Now, Bro. Branham's church of course the deacons stood there as far as I know, he used the deacons. Because I wasn't familiar with who all was in authority in the church, that is elected. And they would stand there, and Bro. Branham just stood back, he himself was a part of it, but he stood back. The others would pass the bread, or hold the bread there and you come by and take the wine. It was not a ceremony, you know, something you had to make in a certain pattern. Some people use many cups, some use one cup, and I believe that Bro. Branham’s church used to use the one cup, and then somebody gave them communion sets, so they used it. 5. I would say that typically it would be better to have one cup, or not everybody have an individual to be more in line with the type. And from what I understand was the more proper way to do it. But I tell you, I don't think we need to worry too much about some of these things. Like getting into a ritual, the thing to do is to do it with prayer, and having gotten your own life straighten up, made things right with people the best you possibly can. And no one should be withheld…the cup should be withheld from anybody except in gross immoral sin as Bro. Branham said. And if I wanted to pattern my church, I'd do like Bro. Branham did. I would just have the elders serve, the people come forward, (you know) unless it became unruly. Bro. Branham's church was kind of tight. He didn't have many aisles, yet the people seemed to get by fine. 6. Now, they washed feet of course at the end of the service. And in the older days when the building was so tiny, he just dismissed the people after communion. So, they could go in, women a little tiny cubical, and men maybe four people at a time. And then as soon as the people washed, then you just went on home. And so, sometimes it's a matter of how you have to do it for just to keep a minimum of confusion, or keep an order. I would imagine what you're doing is fine. I would imagine you're doing pretty well with the tabernacle did. Because I know different ones where there to see it done, and you just follow that principle, just be fine. 7. [Question 3:] "Could you tell us what your thoughts are as concerning young people's meetings?" Forget it, have a thing to do with it. Sunday schools and young people's meetings have always been a headache, they cause problems. When did you ever separate the people? Now, if I'm tramping on anybody's toes, forgive me. You asked it. Invited to answer it. I would have nothing to do with it, period. (Uh, uh) Keep your families together, have your own. [some says something, Bro. Vayle says] Thank you. [Bro. Vayle softly chuckles] 8. [Question 4:] "Bro. Branham had the question, answer meetings to find out what was on the people's minds. (He did) Would this apply to the pastor's a good idea for his local group today to find out how his sheep are thinking?" Good idea. However, that is not the only thing today. It is to find out what's on their minds in this respect, that they've been reading and hearing tapes, and hearing preaching, and many times it doesn't come across in a clear way. Or many times it sounds like there's a conflict. So, certainly it's good to have question and answers in order to help you. I would certainly agree with that. 9. [Question 5:] "Am I wrong when I say that I believe Acts 5:5 must repeat…(What's that, Ananias and Sapphira? Now, let's take a look and find out. Yep!) In that the people would not dare to come into the place of worship with things and sin in their life for fear of God judging them?" Well, all I know is that Bro. Branham said this would repeat. How or under what conditions, I am not able to tell you. I'd have to go back and try to find the context of when he said it would repeat. I just believe it would repeat, or will repeat. And I believe that God will do it only in the exact precise case that is necessary. I would just would have to leave it all with the Lord. I just can't answer further than that. Yes, it would repeat, but I wouldn't try to tell you conditions. I could tell you if I felt a little bit vindictive about how some people believe that. But I'm not going to say anything. 10. [Question 6:] "When Bro. Branham said you can't separate the Message and the messenger, would this be spiritually, since now we do not have the man, but we have the voice and the Message?" Well, you see, Bro. Branham based message and messenger on the Word from the former rain, the 'moreh', which is 'teacher or teaching'. And you cannot separate the messenger from the message. Because if he's a messenger, he has a message. If he has a message, he is a messenger. And the message and the messenger is one and the same, because he is standing for what he says. So therefore, they are the same and it's spiritual, sure. On the grounds that it's the Word of the Lord. And then remember, also that the messenger of this hour, that's the Elijah, not William Branham, but the Elijah is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, not a man, God, but it comes by a prophet. And so therefore, you couldn't separate the Elijah from the Word, because He is the Word. Now, we're speaking in terms of Christ now mind you, and not in terms of simply Bro. Branham. But Bro. Branham being Elijah, he would be the one who would bring us by Divine revelation that Word. And you can't separate that, because nobody else could do it. So, you simply can't separate them in that respect. 11. Now, certainly we don't have Bro. Branham here, but we do have the Word. The Word stored up on the tapes. The food stored up, so there is no problem. Our major problem is, as I've been trying to show you all this week that it's not that people don't believe the Word, the fussing lies in how they believe It. And since nobody is vindicated, but he said, "Shut up and be happy somebody's believing." See, but you know how it is, and we better start doing something about it. Because it's not enough to just shrug it off, there's a spirit involved in this thing. And when anybody attempts to say, "I have it," to me it's literally antichrist spirit. To the exclusion of others. Now, if you believe you've got It, so you should. It's not only your privilege and prerogative, you ought to be strong in what you believe. But you can't be to the place where you say, "Well, this fellow's out, because he doesn't believe like me." And when you get that way, you're a denominational antichrist. Now it's going to be with you, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, but I'm expressing what I believe. And I believe if Bro. Branham were here he's have to say the very same thing. Because look, this is gone to the place where it is not ridiculous anymore, it is absolutely terrible. And somebody's got to start and do something about it somewhere. 12. So, the message and the messenger is the same. Like for instance: what I am preaching is Lee Vayle. I'm doing my best to follow the prophet, but let's face it, I cannot say that my message is identical to Bro. Branham's, I can't say that. And I cannot say I am preaching Bro. Branham's Message from the stand point that I am not here to tell you that I understand the way he understood when he said it. Because it took me four and a half hours on one point, proving I didn't understand what he was talking about. So, there's no need for me to say that this is Lee Vayle and what he's preaching is not the same thing, because it is. But I'm identified by faith that I am trying to say what the prophet said. And that's about all I can say. 13. [Question 7:] "Bro. Branham said, God separates people." (Well, the Word separates people, and God is the Word, certainly.) "Can any man claim separation by another statement the prophet that you can't rise any higher than your pastor?" Well, now look, what do you mean by that? You're being picky, or are you sincere? Now, you see there's a big difference when you ask me that question. Because I think the cruelest blow is where people said, "Well, he's not feeding me." Now, I don't think that I'm extra dumb, extra unspiritual, extra stupid. And I can go right behind a person that made that statement and garner much from the person that said, "He's not feeding me." (Um?) Now, I could name names, but it wouldn't mean a thing to you anyway, because you wouldn't know them. But I've seen that very same thing pulled off. And I wouldn't be in anybody's boots for any amount of money and made a statement like that. So, if I'm a little rough on you now, I don't mean to be. I'd have to know what's in your heart. 14. Now, the thing is certainly you can't rise any higher than your pastor on the grounds of the fact that the spirit of the pastor goes on the people, what he says is what they're feeding on, his guidance and outlook on morals and conduct, if you truly partake you will be in the bracket that he is in. That is right, I believe that. I believe that your welfare depends upon a pastor. But frankly, I've run across very, very, very few, I don't know if I need any more than a couple of fingers to even become critical concerning pastors. Because I've found them dedicated and sincere. Although they aren't the world's greatest preachers, but remember, the major work of a pastor is shepherding the people. And that takes a lot of individual attention and care. So, if he's not the greatest evangelist, or the greatest teacher, the greatest 'whatnot', you can be thankful that the person is very faithful and honest and sincere. And isn't trying to take advantage of people, but he's trying to serve the Lord God. And if he's doing that, I believe that you won't have any trouble trying to rise. 15. Again I wonder, is this a statement that is blaming somebody, because you're in the doldrums, or at a standstill. Let me tell you something: there isn't anybody can stop you from going ahead if you want to go ahead. (See?) And I'm a little touchy for the pastor's sake on this. I really am. Because I don't believe that many times the pastors are getting a fair shake, when it comes to some of the things that have been done. Now, the reason I'm saying this is not because of anything here, I'm going back to my own area where I have seen things I'm simply sorry about. And if I know anything about God and His way, I wouldn’t want to be in certain people's boots. Because, what a person sows, he reaps. So, I'm a little maybe rough for then what this question demands, but see, I get a little nervous when questions like this comes, because I'm not Bro. Branham to read your heart. And I just don’t know what you've got in your mind. And so I got to attack this every way I can, and I think I've been fair on both sides to explain just what could be here in the offing in order to help you. And I guess that's about enough. 16. [Question 8:] "I believe we're not living '78 the way we have been looking at our calendar." You're not actually, you're living in 1985, if you want to worry about a calendar. Because the calendar is seven years out, Bro. Branham said so. And when a man wrote him and said, "Bro. Branham, how do you know the calendar is seven years out?" And in big bold scrawl he wrote, "He told me so." So, it's 1985. Little problem? None at all. I wouldn't care if it's 2005. It said, [Question 9:] "Would I then be mocking if I say, I believe the Rapture will still take place in '77?" I wouldn't say it for a million dollars. Look, we're already into It. You don’t need to worry what's coming down the road, you're still looking down the road. Look at what's going on. We're one third in the Rapture, and one half into the Resurrection. If we aren't, then Bro. Branham told us a bunch of lies. He did not appear, He is not here. What do you worry about a year for? I told you the other day of course maybe the question came in before, but look I was very confident the year we call '77 was going to go by. And I told you why. Bro. Branham said, "If all I could judge this was Sodom and Gomorrah by marriage and divorce, I couldn't do it, there's other factors involved." 17. Now, the same prophet said when a question came in, "Can we belong to a union?" He said, "You have to, or you can't have a job. But we know when to get out, it's when the church takes over." The hasn't taken place. In many things I'm looking at, so far as '77 is concerned, I have no problem. Never did, it was the year I hopped we'd be gone, but if we weren't gone, (unless we all done missed a year. Evidently there's a couple from Africa went, couple from Australia, couple from Canada, couple from the States. Maybe we're just sitting here and don't even know it. Now, I don't believe that. I believe we're sitting here and do know it. But nobody's gone. Now, I'm not the least worried about it, '78 goes by. I don't mind if '79 goes by. Now, we've got nine planets lined up for 1982. Could it be by the middle of this year, the tribulation will start? Could it be that '82 will start it with a terrific breaking up of the earth crust and all? I don't know. And I'm not interested in a '77. I'm interested in me, and I don't know if I'm fit to go. If it isn't by grace, you don't even bother looking for me. So, I wouldn't even worry about it, and says, "Well, the prophet did not prophesy. He said, "I predict." 18. I know that people say, "But Bro. Vayle, he said over here, 'whenever did I ever predict that it didn't come to pass'?" He was not using that as a direct prophecy. Because the prophet also changes his words around. But don't worry about '77 one little bit. It's gone. Thank God it's gone. Thank God we're that much closer to what is going to take place. And by the grace of God let's mature. No, I don't worry about dates. Look, if you set your heart as a real believer on '77 didn't happen. That's alright, because look, if you were really looking for it, you were pressing in yourself to mature and to walk carefully. Not to expedite the Rapture, but to "make your calling an election sure." [2 Pet. 1:10] But of course, if you're just fritting around on a date you're going to be in trouble in '78 with me, '79 and '80. So, I hope that helps you, I don't know, this has caused a lot of problems. I'm just happy I don't have any problems. 19. [Question 10:] "If is say Bro. Branham could say nothing outside of 'Thus saith the Lord', would I make him something other than human?" Now, I'll buy that, I presume you mean that everything that Bro. Branham said was 'Thus saith the Lord'. Well, if it is, then Bro. Branham's taste and mine in looks so different, because he said, "Billy Paul's son, (little Paul) was the ugliest baby he ever saw in his life." And I thought he was the cutest little rascal ever I almost laid eyes on. In fact, I'd say he's the spitting image of his grand-dad. Ha, ha, ha, ha. And I thought Bro. Branham was as handsome as they came. Do you think it was 'Thus saith the Lord', when he kidded about my wife doing the Church Age Book? Oh, I've got news for you, I did it, she didn't. Sorry about that. I don't think you mean that though when you said that. Bro. Branham had 'Thus saith the Lord'. And the fact of 'Thus saith the Lord'…now see, I preached the meaning of 'Thus saith the Lord' a meeting, (where did I preach it, Edmonton?) but didn't preach it here did I?) Well, I'm not going to preach it here, I don't have time. 20. But in there I take Jeremiah 27: beginning at 12 and reading right through 28. And in there you will see the perfect picture of what 'Thus saith the Lord' is. The man who says it and the things come to pass, that is the man that God sent to tell you something, and what tells you is: 'Thus saith the Lord' whether it's prefaced by 'Thus saith the Lord' or not. His theology is a hundred percent the Word of God. Not his daily conversation, such as (you know) I think your son ought to marry my daughter. Oh, we're getting really naughty now. (Uhh?) Well, I got the back bone to tell it. He casually said to one brother, he said, "You've got a fine son, I've got a fine daughter." Now, I think the rest of the word was something like 'they ought', maybe they should get married or something." So, the fellow held out and held out, they messed up people's lives. As far as I know that the…well, I guess I won't go any further. So then that would be telling things that aren't very nice to tell. So, we just leave it at that. Was that "Thus saith the Lord'? It's not theology. 21. You think it matters two cents to the Rapture who marries who in the actual sense of the word? Somebody's got to marry somebody, somebody's got to do this, that… No, we're dealing with the Word. The Bro. Branham's theology, his doctrine, was absolutely the undisputable confirmed pure Word of God, and the 'Thus saith the Lord' is what established It. Many people say, "Well, if Bro. Branham didn't say, 'Thus saith the Lord' they don't believe it." I do believe it. He didn't have to say 'Thus saith…' When I read in the books what he said concerning the doctrine here in the Bible, It is 'Thus saith the Lord'. I've got no problem. So, I hope that answers your question. (See?) Because it isn't a matter whether Bro. Branham could say, "good morning," or "good night," that was 'Thus saith the Lord', the 'Thus saith the Lord' established him as the man that you had to listen to. (See?) And what he said you had to have, because nothing outside of this Message comes to light, or has life in It. Now, I can take that and prove that by the Scripture. I wouldn't even have found It in the Scripture if Bro. Branham hadn't had said so. But he said, "Once you see this Message, that's all you'll see in the Word." Now, thank you for those questions, I hope I didn't hurt your feelings, because I believe you've got a good heart in writing these out here. But you understand me up here. I don't know you. So, I got to look at every angle, good, bad, indifferent, so that nobody can away (you know, at least I hope) saying I haven't been as fair in covering as many facets as I can. 22. All right, 1 Corinthians 15:29. (29) Else what (should) they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? Now look, I don't know anybody. I think Bro. Branham did make a statement on this someplace, but I can't remember where he said it, and what he said. I'm sorry about that. There is something he said, but I cannot recall. Perhaps just because my mind is not a good enough mind, or because it didn't seem that important, so it stuck with me. But I'll tell you, as far as I am concerned it's this: (this is Lee Vayle talking) Paul here in the chapter of the Resurrection is telling the people that the Resurrection is a foregone conclusion. And everything is actually based upon they're being a resurrection as I taught on Friday night to us back in the Garden of Eden, or the Millennium. (See?) Now, Jesus Christ rose from the dead in a glorified body. Now if the dead rise not, Jesus Christ does not have a glorified body. Then if He doesn't have a glorified body and He's not raised, what is the use of baptizing in His Name if He didn't rise? Now, that's about what I see here. I'm sorry, I can't say what the prophet said, I know he said something. But my understanding is simply this then, if Jesus didn't get rised, and people don't rise, you're out there in some kind of an ethereal creature, then Paul said, "What is the use of anything, because the whole thing is "Abraham coming to a City which hath foundation who's builder and maker is God." [Heb. 11:10] Previously though, he'll be in the Millennium. Now, you're not going to be in that unless you're in a body. Glorified human body. Then if the dead don't rise, then why are people even talking about Jesus, or being baptized? That's what I get from this picture. Now, I may be wrong, that's all I can possible say, I don't know. 23. [Question 11:] "Who is Revelation 10:1-7?" That's a very good question, you should say what is It, not Who? Because there's two involved there, not one. Revelation 10:1-7 is the Seventh Seal. All right, the mighty Angel that came down clothed with a Cloud and a Rainbow, there's only one got the Rainbow. Nobody else. We know that as the Logos that came down in the Pillar of Fire. And when He came down He brought down to earth, opened the Seven Seals, which Book He had in His hands in heaven. And the Voice of Thunder was upon earth. The seventh verse is the Seventh Church Age messenger. So, number one is the Logos, number two is William Branham. Now, paragraph two of page 100 of the Seal book goes like this: [220] Others had guessed at, in the denominational age. But, see, he must be this man, the seventh angel of…Revelation 10:1-4. Now, 10:1-4 is that One Who came down. Seven is the One Who is here. And Bro. Branham said they must both be on the earth at the same time. Correct, certainly. No problem. Now: The seventh angel has the mysteries of God (that's what it says here in verse 7) given to him, and finishes all the mysteries that’s been left off, down through the denominational ages. In other words, He does the perfect work of Moses, see, He goes back and fills it all in. The same as Moses filled in Genesis not even having been there. How? By Devine revelation. So, William Branham had 'Thus saith the Lord' even on the history. Where Wesley is not mentioned, Luther is not mentioned, Irenaeus is not mentioned. Martin, Columba not mentioned. Just Paul. So, there's your picture. Now, also there's an interesting little thing here, but the person didn't, (I'm sorry on page 127) he did not give me the paragraph, I read the whole page and I just couldn't connect it. So, I'm sorry about that. 24. [Question 12:] Now, number two: of the same question person. "If a woman leaves a man and the man, can the man remarry under any, or what circumstances?" Well, I'd have to be a prophet to tell you that. I can't. Because circumstances vary. I would have to put this right back in your lap. Unless you can come to the place where you know you've heard from God, and you'll never, ever, ever have any doubts of what you're doing of you getting remarried, you better not get remarried. Because if you got one doubt, believe me that doubt will keep rising and rising, and rising until it destroys your life. So, I can't tell you, only a prophet could tell you. The only circumstance a man could remarry under, is if his wife was not a virgin and lied to him. Now, I'm going to give you a little illustration here. I've got a friend down in the States and I think he's a real sweet boy. His wife lied to him about her virginity. Later on, she admitted it that she'd been with men. But he was a Christian and he wanted to serve the Lord, had his thoughts on being a preacher. And he said, "I didn't know whether to take her home and dump her in her mother's lap." And he said, "I was afraid to, for the sake of Jesus Christ, I would sooner live with her being betrayed then to just make a mess and someone be offended." 25. He was wrong. Because she showed her colors, she began running with other men. Now, I'm going to be very frank with you, in my books he's absolutely free. But I wish he wouldn't, because time's short. Because the prophet said, "If that woman lied, you could have twelve children by her, (how many wouldn't matter) you could still let her go. Now remember, it was not him forgiving her and say, "Well, it's alright." He tried to be a real Christian. I'm going to tell you something, you try to be real Christian outside the Word, it backfires. I read that quote the other night, "You cannot serve and worship God, except through the servants that God sent to declare the Word to you." And that boy's got a mess on his hands right now, and I'm sorry for him. I would believe with all my heart if he told me the truth, (and I'm sure he did) he could have every right to remarry. But he wants to stay single and try to serve the Lord the best can with his two boys. All right, I just can't tell you circumstances, the only one I can tell you there, is that if she betrayed him, because let's face it, there is no such thing as a legal contract if one person lies. Could you believe that God would lie? Could you lie to God? What if you could get a contract? So, it's a prophet, I see the prophet so beautifully right, and I certainly would not advocate anybody marrying unless they could… in them they'd have to do this in themselves. Not with any approbation of mine under any consideration, but if anybody felt so that they were entitled and remarried, I would never, ever turn my back on them. I'd treat them exactly as brothers and sisters in Christ, which I believe they are, because that's not the unforgivable sin. There could be much whipping and things concerning there, I don't know. Much headache, much, much, a much. But I would not turn anybody aside. Now, something's we get kind of grim, because a little more answered, I'm going to deal with that a little later on. But some of this thought can be very grim later on. 26. [Question 13:] "You mentioned Sunday morning under no circumstance should you split or separate. I don't remember which word he used, could you please tell me where Bro. Branham told us that?" Well, I'm glad you established that as Sunday morning, because you have to take what I said in the whole context. And the context of that was, that if a person did what is right, and quote Scripture to agree, there would not be a real split, or separation. Now, Bro. Branham said, and I can't tell you where he said it, because my memory is not clear enough, but he did say, "That if you walked off without clearing the slate it showed exactly what you were." I'm just sort of phrasing it in a way to bring it right across. So, as I explain later on there may come a time when you cannot walk together. Then if you separate you are still duty bound to separate under the highest ideals and conditions, that you have made sure that there is no malice and nothing in your heart to cause you to stumble, because believe me, you're on very dangerous ground. 27. So, I still say with all due respect to everybody, myself included, that the greatest grace we can exhibit under any stress, or duress, or problem is to stay within the right frame of mind and heart. And to stay with each other, unless somebody other than yourself is pushing conditions. Don't you be the pusher. If you get pushed out, then it's off your shoulder. But I'm speaking in terms of idealism amongst you as individuals. And if you and I can rise to that place, where Bro. Branham told us to come, I see no reason why anybody should ever split off from anybody whatsoever. Doctrine, or anything else. To me, it would be the highest compliment to William Branham, the servant of God that we love, for all of us to dwell together in unity. And to say, "Look, that's alright if you see it a certain way, we believe the Message together, we're going down that road, we'll wait until the Rapture." And that's the only spirit I believe brother/sister is going to make the Rapture. Now, of course I could be wrong, but I believe the Elect are going to have it. If I believe I'm the election my call, election are going to be made sure by that very atmosphere in my life. 28. Now, I tell you, I'm battling it, but for years I have preached this way and tried to keep the people together, and done what I can. I've been thwarted on every side, by people who know better and won't do it. Now, you as a congregation, you do what you want, I haven't a thing to do with you. When I go down the road tomorrow morning I may never see you again. But my voice will remain in your ears and your heart, we have got to do something about our own lives regardless of other people. Bro. Branham said, "If there's only going to be one person to make the Rapture, I'm going to be determined, I'm going to be that one." And not that you shove anybody out, or …?... and tell the fellow, "Well, you're not in it, because you don't believe right." How can you prove you believe right? Your very spirit would tell me, you need another dip at the fountain. You say, "Bro. Vayle, why are you so strong?" Look, you sit in my shoes awhile kiddo, and follow me around, you find out. You don't even know you're living yet. Now, I can afford to be tough on you, because I been down the road. You've never been down the road, But I've been down the road. And where…I've been a friend, I've been the filthiest foulest scum, the next day you ever heard and not having done one thing but said, "Look, I don't see it your way." You say, "You feel bad?" Who's to feel bad? I haven't got time. So, don't be a separatist. As Bro. Branham said, "I'm a segregationist." Segregated under Christ. Now, I hope I haven't hurt you, but if I have, well, I’m not going to cry about it. I stated what I felt I had to say, because I'm laboring under these things the same as you are. It's hard. It's rough. Hard to take a stand what you believe, and yet be sweet and kind and dovelike. And not have any problems, anybody else. 29. [Question 14:] "Some people I've heard say, 'We have to believe every Word'." Certainly, you believe every Word. Could you explain every word? No! Sure can't. Won't even try. Took me four and a half hours on one point, and ten days on another. I'm just going to have to believe what he said. See, that's the secret. That's what I keep saying. If I'm believing It, and you're believing It, but we don't quite understand the same what are we going to do? Take clubs and kill each other? Draw straws? Try to persuade a crowd? If we've got Christ in here, we're going to love each other, and help each other. See, now I can't explain a lot a things. I don't believe that Bro. Branham could either. That is down to the final straw. It's not our job to understand every jot and tittle, believe it. Now, if you don't think that I've said the truth about Bro. Branham there, you go over those tapes. And you're going to find there were large gaps left. 30. Now, I'll give you an illustration. You know, writing the Church Age book was quite an experience. I said, "Bro. Branham, what did Adam do?" I'm not going to tell you what he said. But he said, "Perhaps, he did so and so." Explain every word? No, believe every Word. And believing every Word to me is not so much every word in the sense that you're going to dissect there and say, "every 'and', and every 'but'," But to believe every word means that you believe what he said, period. And you don't try to change it any way, shape, or form. But you just say, "Look, I can't understand." I tell you what, I have tremendous problems with some of the tapes. When it comes to the Feast of Trumpets, I just say, "forget it." I read It, my eyeballs spin. Let me show you, just one point alone here: Bro. Branham speaking and he begins talking and he said that certain things now were between the Sixth and Seventh Seal. Like the calling out of the 144,000, (I forget what it was anyway) but you know, I took the longest time to realize he was just talking where it was in the Bible. Not talking about the chronology, talking about where it was in the Bible. And I believed all the harder. I was believing what he said, oh man, you talk about the head going this way, you know, shoom, shoom. My stomach churning, just had to walk away from it, say I'll come back another time. And I'll still pick it up and read It, and just walk away, come back another time. 31. I don't understand everything. Sure wish I did. No, I don't either. I don't need to understand everything. Just believe it. [Question 14:] “Bro. Branham tells us how Noah was told that the next day it would rain, and it didn’t. This went on every day for seven days.” Now, I would have to get where Bro. Branham actually said that. Not that I disagree with you, but in order to get the context of where the fact is building up the suspense. Is God really going to do it? I He true to His Word? Yes, He's true to His Word whether He does it on the first day of the week, or the last day of the week, the first day of the year, the last day of the year, He's going to do it regardless. And I think that's what's in mind here by Bro. Branham. But I couldn't tell unless I had the book or the tape, I can't answer that all the way. It's something like the question: no one knew exactly when the Rapture is going to take place, because Enoch was gone, and the flood was going to come because Enoch was gone. So, everybody says, "No siree, Enoch wasn’t there." The best answer I got for years was, (and I didn't figure this myself was) Noah was a prophet and therefore by revelation he saw it." No sir, you will find a certain tape where Bro. Branham said, "Enoch came back." (Uh huh) Where did he get it? The same place he got, Enoch built the pyramid. And they finally discovered Enoch did build the pyramid. So, no problem. Don't understand, wait awhile. Just hold on. I can't answer that question, but I do understand this: and I know that Bro. Branham was building, (I'm almost positive as I recall) this where you must realize that when God said a thing, He will do it, don't worry about it, it will be done. I'd like to get the context, I'm sorry. I'll put this to one side. 32. [Question 15:] "Is it wrong for women to talk to men about the Word?" Yeah, in a way. To witness no. But to enter into the theological, or the doctrinal aspects where they are attempting to become proficient among themselves it would be not wise. But to witness anytime any day. Witness to anybody. Bro. Branham said, "The milkman, the bread-man, anybody." And in that respect, you will witness according to the Word, the Word, because your witness otherwise wouldn't be worth a plug-nickel. Right? It would be telling of the prophet that God promised to send for this hour. Where did he say it? Well, He said over there in the Book of Malachi. Yes sir. Said over there in the Book of Matthew. I don't pretend to know all about it, but I know that God said He's send a prophet, and there's a vindicated prophet with 'Thus saith the Lord'. You see, you're witnessing to It, without making It doctrinal as though you're attempting to qualify yourself, even as an offhand, or teacher, see? But witness, yes. 33. And I also believe it's right for women to comfort other women with Scripture. In other words when there's problems in the home, (see?) to say, "Look now, you know as well as I do this verse of comfort is here." And you know this is a testing and a trial. Not preaching, not handling the Word, (in a wrong way) but using It as a witness. That's legal. I suppose this question was asked because perhaps you've been around many places like I've been around, and there's a tremendous propensity for women to become almost theological experts. Every now and then I told my wife I would grant her ordination. That sort of quiets things down for a while. So, I been thinking might be thinking of that. Does anybody ever think of that? I don't know. But I have to look at all the points I can look at. 34. [Question 16:] "Is it wrong to play sports on Sunday." Yes sir! Absolutely, no sports on Sunday. Even the one that only do it a little while. Not every Sunday. Nope! Stay away from it. The prophet liked that, I like it. Nothing wrong with taking a walk. Oh, I would say if you wanted to make a comparison to be far better to go out and play hockey, then to sit around and tear somebody up and down. Don't do either one. Build somebody up. Now, I wouldn't do that. The prophet didn't believe in that. 35. [Question 17:] "Was Bro. Branham the revealed Word in flesh?" The prophet is the living Word of God made manifest. Now, I know what you really had in mind there, but it's a good question I gave you a good answer. The prophet as Scripture in the 'Feast of Trumpets', (I think it's the Feast of Trumpets, I can look it up.) The prophet is the living Word of God made manifest. He is too. John the Baptist came upon the scene in the image, I'm Isaiah 40:3. I'm Malachi 3: He was the Living Word of God revealed in human flesh. But so is the Bride. Now, we know that Bro. Branham was in a far superior position, because we don't have 'Thus saith the Lord'. So, he goes way beyond this. I would say that this goes along with the thought: is Bro. Branham the Seventh Church Age messenger? Is the only difference between him and Jesus Christ the flesh? Yes, and no. First of all, what message are you talking about? William Branham or the Elijah? If you're talking about Elijah, the Elijah for this hour is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Not man, God, but it comes by a prophet. 36. So therefore, the only difference is yes, He came without flesh. His clothing this time is the Word. But to attempt to carry William Branham to the place that Jesus Christ, I say no. Because he wasn't Jesus Christ. When you're dealing with Jesus Christ, you're dealing with my Savior. Now, you can believe Bro. Branham anyway you want. But Bro. Branham didn't die to save me. Bro. Branham is dead. And the one that’s going to change my body has got to get him out of the grave. So, I got to look to One higher than Bro. Branham, I'm looking to the One that Bro. Branham revealed by the Word of Almighty God, though He Himself was not Jesus Christ. So now, I hope I've answered your question. It's a good question. And I'm convinced that the majority of people do not take it far enough, and a small minority take it too far. Small minority take it too far, but the majority don't take it far enough. If they took it far enough, I don't know brother/sister, you'd have to take it to the place where the apostles were. When Jesus said, "Will you leave Me too?" They said, "Where would we go? [John 6:67-68] They didn't stop and say, "Well, let me see now. It wasn't too bad way back there in those days. And you know, it wasn't so bad now, do you think there's something more up the road?" Well they said, "Where are we going to go? We're satisfied, we're convinced." So am I. If this isn't It, I don't know what could be. Because when I hear back from God, is William Branham in "Thus saith the Lord' brought those answers and it lines this Scripture, man I'm not going anywhere. Just tell you flat. Now, if I miss the Rapture I'm going to tell you something, the only people that are going to be in It, are those who are with this Word right here the way the prophet brought It. And that's the way I feel about that. So, feel very good question, and I say, don't be afraid to take it a long way, just stop short the right point. It's a good…we must see the impact of his ministry and what he stood for. 37. [Question 18:] "Is it wrong for a person to be critical of their pastor, because of how he preaches the Message?" Certainly, it's wrong, wrong to be critical of anybody really. It's very wrong to be critical of the pastor, because your criticism, your question would lead me to believe that you feel that you know more than he does. Maybe you do, it’s certainly not hard to know more than me, I can get a hundred in the pews that know more than I do. Lock, stalk and barrel a hundred times more. No problem there at all. But maybe they weren't called. What if you knew a lot of things and you weren't called? Then you'd really be in trouble. Now, a lot of people don't think of that, sit right in the pews, they got a lot of answers, but they don't realize they're trying to take a pastor's, the five-fold ministry’s job. Look, why don't you become a five-fold ministry? Come on where the heat is in the kitchen. Don't sit down and fan your brow. "Oh, how lovely." Come on where the heat is kid, follow me awhile. Now, I'm not boasting, because I've got it real easy now. But follow me back years ago when the heat was on. It's still on, but not like it was. It's a different story. (Yeah) 38. Nice home, everything going nice. Get down the road you got to pray your kids out of trouble a thousand miles away. Get down there where you got no money, you got to pray the anointing on the service, and what the lazy preacher didn't do, you got to do it all. And still stand there and not take an offering. And Meda says, "Why don't you take an offering?" He said, "I'll starve." Do it sometime, be my guest. Come on, I’ll tell you how it’s done. I'll break in. I'm a little edgy right now, but you've got it coming to you. Don't you be critical, it's going to come back on you. (See?) It'll come back on you. Now, if the guy is living in sin, that's a different story. If he's lazy that's a different story. I know a preacher that was pastoring, never gave them Communion, or Foot-washing in fifteen months. They finally laid the score down and said, "We better have it." He said, "Well, (he said) you know it could be ritual." A ritual in fifteen months? I'm critical of that kind of nonsense myself. I can be critical too, you bet I can. But when it comes to how he preaches the Message, if that man is living a life that's good and godly, if he's trying then where can you be critical since you're not vindicated? I hope you ask that question from somebody else. I'm sure you did. 39. [Question 19:] "Should women testify in church?" Hardly anybody should. There should be no testimony unless it's called upon for a special occasion. You'll notice that in Church Order, because testimony gets out of hand. Many times, becomes a (you know) an apple box in Hyde Park. If a woman was called upon, yes, if she's called upon, certainly. Why should she not get up and tell what Jesus has done for her? Why should she not tell the great things God has done. Absolutely, she should testify in church, if she's called upon and so should a man. I understand Bro. Branham in the last sermon he was in, in Tucson they opened the service with testimony, he was the first one on his feet. I wasn't there of course, I didn't get there till later on, living in the east, too far from the west. He said, “I never miss an opportunity to testify for my Lord.” So, certainly she can if she's called upon. For an open service, let he do it in grace unto the Lord. 40. [Question 20:] "Should Christian families have family devotions? (Yes) If so at what time?" Anytime especially morning or night. Some people cannot have morning devotion. I prefer it myself. But what if the husband has a job that doesn't kind of lend to it? I would not for one minute leave it all in the mother's hands, I believe the father should be there too. Find the time that's most convenient and stick to it. Don't be afraid to change when necessary. Now, I'll tell you what I've found. I found kid's minds wander as you read the Word. I got over that in a hurry, I said we'll all read out loud together. No problem. But even when you ask them to pray, they may stutter, stammer a bit. I wouldn't want to press children too hard to pray, except to help them that they know there is an answer to prayer, and they can pray. But other words, I'm trying to say this: look, don't make this thing merely religion. Make it spiritual if you possibly can. I know a brother did that for years, couldn't get to church, no church to go to. He was determined he wasn't going to worry about organization, so he sat in his home every Sunday, played two tapes. On Wednesday night played a tape, and everyday had devotions. He raised his family the best he could. Looks like it's paying off. Looks like the kids are growing up real fine. The marriages have been turning out good, and hopefully every one of his children will be a real witness to the Lord. 41. [Question 21:] "Is it wrong to play games on Sunday, such as checkers, darts, and play hockey?" Well, there again, you want to play darts, if you've got a little time for hockey, a little time for checkers, any day but Sunday, wonderful. Now, I don't think you'd be terrible condemned if you played checkers or something, but I don't think we should. I think that's a day we should rest and relax, go to church, be quiet, because there's six days to labor, and six days to do a lot of things in. 42. [Question 22:] "The speaker comes in and preaches wrong, should the pastor correct the wrong from the pulpit after the speaker left?" Certainly, maybe not say, "Hey, that fellow is wrong," and you get people upset. But that's his prerogative. Just come behind and emphasize a few points it'll cover it over. A brother said a little while ago, "Lee, (he said) I believe we've been teaching wrong since I listen to that man preach. What will I do?" I said, "Just sit tight and say ummm, nothing! Just start teaching carefully, it'll rectify itself. Because you see, the people already know anyway. (See?) So, don't worry about it. But always the pastor is the authority. When I come here anyplace, I want you to know that if I say opposite to the pastor, and he comes behind me, you listen to him not me, even though you might think I'm right and he's wrong. You are obligated to listen, because it's his responsibility to see you through, it's not mine. If you're all sincere, if he happens to be wrong, God as Paul said will show him, it'll come back right. Maintain your right spirit. 43. Matthew 18: We all know Matthew 18: according to Bro. Branham there again I'm too stupid I can't quote to the tape and say what he said, but believe me Matthew 18: is so important. It is for this hour as perhaps as no other form of Church Order and discipline is. Now we know what It is: "If a brother has ought against you, trespass, to him and tell his fault between thee and him alone: (Don't take anybody) if he shall hear thee, thou has gained thy brother." [Mat. 18:15] (You're fine, you're in good shape.) "If he won't hear you, take with thee one or two more." So, everything can be established in the mouth of two witnesses." [Mat, 18:16] So, you can't say, "Well, he said, he said, I said, I said," They'll say, "Now, hold it, you didn't say that, he didn't say that." You got to have witnesses, or a tape recorder. Take a witness and a tape recorder, then you've got it down right. 44. You know, people sometimes express themselves, they don't mean to say a thing, it comes out wrong. So, it's a good thing to know. You say, "Well, I didn't mean it that way. I know I said it, but here's what I really meant. In other words, it's to make sure that there's not a stalemate that you can proceed to progress, and get the thing cleared up. You don't sit around and wait for things to settle, that's only advisable when they're very certain, very few conditions. This must be settled. And then It says here, "If they don't listen tell it to the church." Now, if they still don't listen, then they must be put out from the sanctuary of the church, which means they're from under the Blood, and therefore discipline can be administered through the power of the Lord. Now, 45. [Question 23:] "Do you give the brother, sister thirty days before taking the Blood off?" That is only when they have been brought before the church. Then when they refuse to hear the church, the thirty-day period takes place to let him have time to come in. Now, I don't find that in Scripture, but I sure agree with Bro. Branham. There's got to be a time just like…you know what happened like…look down the State there. Here's Ehrlichman, Haldeman and Dean, and Colson, and Mitchell, oh there's a bunch, too many to mention. They're all out there waiting for the judge to lower the hammer. Now, they all got to go to prison, but this fellow is out and that …?... and they say, "Alright, now Mr. Dean, (now of course, Dean got off the hook by squealing, which is alright, that's the way you do things in politics, not in the church, uh uh, in politics) so then now that the now say, "He's this fellow Mitchell, Mitchell you're going to go to jail for two years." "When? There's an appeal on judge." "Okay, wait till the appeal goes through, the appeal takes six months." You see, there’s a period in there, see what I mean? So, that's what Bro. Branham did was right. Before you take the privilege away of being under the sanctuary of the church of the Living God, where the Blood is efficacious, where you've got all boldness before the Lord to enter right in. Then you give him a period. When that period's gone, then that's it. (See?) Now, that's what I see in [Matthew] 18: here. I believe that's what the person had in mind, because it says about taking the Blood off, so I put it into 15: and 19: or 18: now. 46. So, what is the principle? If anything has come up that constitutes a false that which causes friction, that which is a problem, a burden, something that's (you know) causing turmoil. The person must go to that person. And if they do not have reconciliation, then they are duty bound by Scripture to take on or two others to establish exactly what has transpired. Then if they don't listen to those two, or the ones that had involved themselves at the request of this individual, it goes to the church. Then the church must pass on it. It's got to be brought to the whole church. That these brethren have not made up, the situation is such and such by the witnesses that are gathered here, and though therefore something must be done. If they refuse to do, to make up, then they must be put from out of the church, out of the church, that's what you do. 47. Now, I'm going to go further though: I find a very sad situation, and this is nothing to do with you, because I'm preaching from my own experience. If it touches you, then alright, fine, I'm unaware. But we had a case where some brethren came into the community. They began fussing because of certain things that the church as a whole did not agree, and especially the pastor. They were so determined to have their way, that they began knocking on doors. Now, hold it, I'm an elder of the house of God, there's an elder. If anybody dares to raise their voice against me, or Bro. Gunther without yourself having come right before the church and been check out as to whether you are worthy to make an accusation, you are in serious trouble, my brother, my sister. How dare anybody raise an accusation against the men who have borne fruit in the community that God has used, and then you stand back and dare to make some statement like that. Now, you ask to get your question answered, and we're going to answer them. I want to know. Now, did the prophet said it, or didn't he say it? Did he? He said it! You don't dare bring an accusation, open your mouth against a pastor, or anybody in the church that's serving God until you yourself have come forward before the church and said, "I wish to bring and accusation, I therefore what to be judged." Whoo, hallelujah I feel real religious. Because doubt under those conditions anybody dare to open his or her mouth. I'm not going to say you still love me, that don’t have a thing to do with me. You still love the prophet? Very nice of you. 48. I never said this, William Branham said it. I can find It in the Bible, because It tells you, can't bring an accusation against an elder except two or three witnesses, got to have witnesses. That means it's a witness to you, you've got to be actually judged before the whole church. And yet I'm not…I'm talking about you people. I'm not saying one thing about you, I'm talking to you, because I don't believe that condition exists here. But I'm telling you what went on back in Ohio. You wonder why I keep saying I stand with the pastor, it's his fruit not mine. How dare I come in here and tell anybody you listen to Lee Vayle. You think I want to get my head knocked off by God? I'm sixth-three years of age, I've learned a few things. I don't have an open door, except for the pastors. Now, I'm not playing footsie, because look, there's a lot of places I won't go and I'm invited. I don't play footsie. I don't have anything in my pocket, I wouldn't have a place, I'd have nothing except for these brethren. Now, what about you? Have you won souls? Now, I'm just talking to you now from what went on in Ohio. So, you better be nice to me, or I might snoop around two more days and not leave town and see if anything's been going on here. [Bro. Vayle chuckles] I don't know. 49. Start asking different ones and say, "Hey, you know anybody said so and so, such and such?" Now, I'm not going to stay and find out. But I want to get you a little nervous, because nobody's nervous about what I'm talking about. Men that should know better have placed themselves in jeopardy by their insanity, their rage against the servants of God. Now, don’t think I'm standing and making something of myself, because look, I'd love to quit preaching. If I thought God wouldn't just literally…now He won't kill me, He's too smart for that, He just beat the stuffings out of me. And I don’t want to get the stuffing's beat out of me, I've had it for nine years one time and tried to commit suicide and had a nervous breakdown, didn't even know I had it. Because I've got to much fiber in my being, I could have several and not even know it. So, I have to keep going. But to simply be a preacher, forget it. When Bro. Branham said the man that's sent doesn't want to go, he sure said the truth. I fought it, I even backed away for nine years. So, there's no more backing away anymore, but neither will I be wrong if I can help it. So, we're talking now about the church discipline, so let's be right, all the way. Right? Now, after while I'll give any man a chance to ask me questions to what I said, as long as you're nice and sweet like I am. That means, anybody is going to be able to ask. Let me take that back. All right. 50. [Question 24:] "If a brother has a ministry, does God have to answer his prayers, because he has a healing ministry before …?...?" Are you talking about what I said that I wouldn't go even preaching until I felt in my heart that God would positively heal the sick I prayed for? Something like that, or maybe someone has to be knowing that he can be healed himself? Well, I would say that the majority of us have been healed. But like the majority, you don't always get healed. (See?) Bro. Branham healed literally through the power of God multitudes, and he himself died sick. The Friday that he was injured never to eat again. He had the same terrible problem the gastritis problem, (I think it was gastritis… they called it.) his stomach was so hard like an old piece of leather, he was sick with it. So, but you know, old Smith Wigglesworth, suffered with kidney stones until they drove him desperate. And after a healing service when many would be healed of kidney stones, he'd go home and sit in a bath tub of hot water to get some relief. And go right back the next night preach again, and pray again. He finally got healed. Sure, you can have a healing ministry, and have problems yourself. Elisha died with a sickness whereof he was sick. He had problems, just keep on praying for the sick. Now, I don't know how bad you feel, take your faith in your hands and believe God for yourself and everybody you pray for (see?) right down the line. 51. Now, let's say this, if you know that you have got through to God for yourself and gotten answers in healing and all for yourself, sure you're in better shape to pray for somebody else. See, the way the question was asked here I'm going to try and exhaust the whole thing, because I really don't know what I'm talking about from the answer your question here. I know what I'm talking about, but I just don't know if I'm covering exactly what you've got in mind. (See?) But in my own experience I found it tremendously gratifying to stand right there and say, "God I'm not going to budge to make one step until my confidence is where it is to be effective." And it works. And I've stood there so sick, and I remember one night years ago when the flu started going around in Vancouver, back in 1950 maybe, '51, (I suppose it's '50, '51 yeah) I was so sick that night my body shook until the bed rattled. And then less then every five minutes have to run to the bathroom, my kidney's like a sieve, and that would make my teeth chomp up and down. And I was so mad at the devil in that disease. I stayed in that bed and I fought it, and I fought it, and I fought it. In four hours flat, I was up and around perfect. Because I said, "Mister, I'm to tell you something devil, I prayed for the sick tonight, and now I'm home sick. And I'm going to pray tomorrow and I'm going to pray well, by the grace of God." I was like a dynamo. A hundred percent healed. Praise God. Oh, you can he healed, but it sure makes you feel good when you pray for the other guy. Yeah, I like that, good question. 52. [Question 25A:] "Could you…(oh, this is a tough one) could you please explain a problem for us, our daughter is living with a married man. At the end of this month his divorce is final, he has asked her to marry him. She is seventeen, is it wrong for us to sign for her? And is it wrong for her, for us, to go and visit her, we are very burdened with this." You would be, and I can understand that. Well, I look at this question in the light of the problem, she should not be living with him, and she did not require your signature to live with him, she did it anyway. But she'll require the signature when the man is free to marry her. There's some things that are unanswered here. Is the girl saved? [Question 25B:] "How long should she wait before she can marry him? Will she still live with me…if he… if you don't sign will she live with him? I suppose she will." That’s difficult to tell you, because again, I'm not a prophet. I'm trying to think what the prophet did in situations that were something like this. Now, you're not sanctioning that's for sure, and she should not be with the person. Well, I tell you, I wonder if he still wants to marry her at the end of the month? Maybe he's honest, maybe he's not. I don't have much faith in married men, because I know what they're like. Not because I'm that way, but I know what married men are like. They're liars. They fool a girl, they wouldn't care if she died it's her tough luck. Because Bro. Branham said they were made for the act, and they'll take it coming and going if they can get it anywhere, any place, especially the virgin, a young woman. And a woman is supposed to refrain from doing it. 53. Now, I know it puts a burden on her, but I'm sorry, the prophet said it, and I'm going to say what the prophet said. There's no doubt she's played the fool. But if she's determined to marry him. I'd almost seek counsel from a lawyer or judge, or somebody I that that I could trust and express my convictions in Christ. She has no rights to him and he to her, and even though free to marry. Is there some way she can marry him without your signature? I wouldn't want to sign myself. See, you got a funny situation. Marriage is marriage and adultery is fornication is fornication. Once you've made that vow, you're stuck, and she's married to a divorced person. Of course, I know that's not the end of the world, God can still save her. But for you to be party to it, I would attempt to get some kind of advice from a judge in a court, (because you can get it, in a family relation court) and say, "Look, we can't do those things." Wrong is wrong. 54. Is there some way she can get married without our permission? Not saying they're still granting permission, but staying away from it. But then if she does get married, can you visit her? Would you believe that Bro. Branham never entered his son's house until just before he died, that is to have a meal with him? I know we're not prophets, he might not do things that you and I could do. The question comes, How can we win her? Now, you can visit her now, not in that home, but someplace else. I'll tell you why, if you give yourself an easy course, your conscience will get right to you in a minute. You see? As Paul said, "Not because the law says certain things, that's good. Like the speed limit, but you obey for a higher reason which is your conscience which you can't afford to fool with. So, I would certainly not go and visit her where she is, but I would tell her that we would like to talk with her in a restaurant or someplace. But I couldn't go in there, because I'm sure you'll regret it. There again, I'm talking from things that I know. To sign for her, I couldn't do that either. 55. What's the legal age, eighteen? Well, I wonder when she's going to be eighteen, pretty soon I suppose. I don't know, I would sure pray about this, I'd hate to steer you wrong here. But look, you are going to have to live with your conscience. So, you're going to have to be terribly careful, you cannot throw her away, even though I wouldn't go where she is with that man not for one minute would I go there. I can't believe that, unless you went to get her out of there. So look, you're coming, I got the law on my side, different story. I don't think you're prepared to do that. I'd sure wait until the end of the month to see what he intends to do anyway. But I would see a judge to see. Look if I don't do it, they might go to Alberta where it's seventeen years of age. I don't know. I don't know. But I would be very, very cautious so that I have not involved myself in any way that would be against the Word of the Lord. I think in this church if you're a good bunch, and I believe you are, I believe you should call a special meeting for cases like this. Come here one Wednesday night, do nothing by pray. All get down on your face and just talk to God, and pour your heart out concerning this condition and see what will happen. Because this is a treacherous condition, and I would not want them to make a wrong step. And I feel for them to be involved against the Scripture would cause a heartache that down the road would…might just make this look a little bit as though it were nothing. 56. [Question 26:] Also, "Is it not wrong for teenage boys to play hockey in a league?" I don't like that for this reason, you're getting involved with the world. I would sooner let the kids do like we did, get on the pond of ice and then have a good time, fall on their faces, or anyplace they want to fall and just have a ball. But forget the professional sports. I cannot believe that anybody is entitled to desecrate the Resurrection Memoriam by playing in sports. It's my under-standing, a brother in Minneapolis that I met a couple of years ago was one of the outstanding football players finally resigned and turned down a huge salary because it got to him, "how can I serve God by being a football player?" I can't buy it brother/sister. I cannot buy it. It wouldn't line with this Scripture, the Message. 57. [Question 27:] "Should young people go out on a date in a car alone?" No sir. With somebody else, you better know who the somebody else is. It better be with somebody else definitely. But then it should not be in a permissive way. It should be simply in a companion way. That is like something with youth and (you know) just fairly sociable, but not one of those romantic affairs. 58. [Question 28:] "Should young women talk about the Bible on the job to other people?" No, not on the job, you're paid to do your job the prophet said. If you go to the boss, and the boss and the boss will let you talk, fine. But this, you're paid do a job. Now, there's something on the job, say like coffee break, your lunch hour, or you're both standing there because a machine is shut down or something, and the boss hasn't got a job for you to do, you might do a little bit then. But on the job, no. No, prophet said no. 59. [Question 29:] "Should women in cry room talk to each other unnecessarily?" Never, not talk at all except if necessary in any room when there's a service going on. That goes for men too. Men could be worse than women. Don't think women just do this. 60. [Question 30:] "Should full time pastor play tapes sometimes instead of preaching?" Certainly, certainly, even though in the States most preachers say the people are getting all the tapes they want at home, preaching. Now, if the congregation wants only preaching that's a different story. But I certainly would not be against tapes under certain conditions, and under certain conditions, I would certainly have a tape. I wouldn’t want to even say what the prophet said. I'd say, "Listen for yourself and play a tape." My, how could we preach sermons like some of the sermons Bro. Branham preached? Just the other day I tried to find where Bro. Branham in the Seven Church Ages, (the original manuscripts) was talking about how Jesus, how that where He was born, Jehovah come down over a manure pile. And the man absolutely like an anointed genius poured the most passionate, compassionate message I've ever heard on that, Jehovah coming down. You know, I tried to find that so I could get…steal some of his notes, but couldn't find it. [The Smyrnaean Church Age 60-1206] [Jehovah, over a pile of manure in a barn, crying. Jehovah, in a manger of straw.]     61. I wouldn't try to say what he said, I'd play it. There's nothing like the original. Just like I wouldn't try to paraphrase his words by, and I'm going just take each verses and sort of hang it around here and there. Man, I'd read that verse. So sure, there's nothing wrong under the certain conditions of playing a tape. Would all depend on the pastor and the people. And I say this from lots of experience I've had in the field where I come from, and I know some pastors right today will always take the Wednesday's service on a tape. I know one brother, and he loves to play the tapes he gets so much out of them that he'll play a tape, a certain part of the distance, and then it stop down and say, "Now, did you notice this wonderful thing? You noticed that wonderful thing, and that wonderful thing?" Just to get the people so that they'll know more of what they heard. Not to steer them, but to just get them into encouraged. What to watch for, and how it dovetails and the beautiful .that were said. And then play some more. Now, of course if somebody plays a tape and said, "Well, there's no such thing as preaching we'll play tapes. " And then, sits there and steers the people, we'll I've seen that too, but who needs to talk about that. You asked the question here about playing. Sure it's alright, now if Bro. Guenther says differently, well you listen to him. But there's certainly no sin in it, and it's fine once in a while. I know that most people prefer the preaching, because they do hear the tapes. But once in a while under certain conditions it's fine. I like it myself. 62. [Question 32:] "If a brother is preaching wrong would it be okay if a person …if you stood up and told him?" No sir, never do that. You go to him afterward. You would never, ever tell anybody in public, unless you were the person in charge of the service, then you could do it. I've only done it once in my life. I walked out. But before I walked out they heard from me, because they made Bro. Branham a false prophet. I said, Look, I don't you making me a goat, (because that's very possible) but when you make Bro. Branham a false prophet that's where I draw the line right now, or we're going to have trouble. We have it. And I don't regret it. But only once, and I've been preaching a long, long, long time. No, I would never, never ever, because that is accusing an elder before people and you yourself would have to judged. If you feel something's wrong go to the person. 63. Now, the last one here and we're finished. And this question here is a kind of a delicate question, but I appreciate it, because the person's sincere. I would really like to talk to the person privately, but I'll try to be as careful as I can. [Question 33:] "If old folks married for many years, and the old woman finally refused her husband, (then I suppose that is an act of intercourse) Loves him dearly and she refuses to him because she is old, she doesn't need it. (That has nothing to do with it of course), The old man is older than she is, and will have to be dirty. (In other words it sounds like here that he doesn't take care of himself.) He's kind of a careless person that he's unclean, and she loves him, but is she sinning? " Yes, she's sinning. It sounds like that they need counseling. They should have the pastor come in and counsel if the man so ignorant he keeps his body unclean, he should certainly be taught to clean up. And if that's the problem, and it seems like it is, but she shouldn't refuse him, it's wrong. Bro. Branham said, and he never put an age limit on it. He said, "At no time must she refuse her husband, because he is her husband." So, certainly I would have a little help other than what I've said. The only reason I've said this is, because it may be that somebody else has the same problem, not just the person who wrote it. And you must never, ever do that. Maintain a proper order of loving your home, your personal relationship. The male must never demand of the woman to do anything which is crude or crass, or against nature. 64. Now, that I've said this much, I'm going to tell you something. Bro. Branham one day spoke over the pulpit on this subject. I made it my business to find out what he meant. So therefore, I was very clever, I had my wife talk to Sis. Branham. You got to use the pipeline the Lord gives you. And Sis. Branham said, "Sis. Vayle, you don't know what some of the men who claim to believe this Message are doing to their wives and with their wives." Now, let's get this straight, if you're that kind of a guy you had better stop it. Now, I'm taking the woman's part here, because I feel that there's something here more than just what sounds like a person is not tidy and very unclean about his person. I'm a little fearful that this man could be asking things of her that are not legitimate. If this is the problem I would refuse to do anything which is ungodly. I don't care who asked me. But if it's just a little sense of delicacy, and he's a bit indelicate then he should be helped. Now, that's the way it is, and that's the right answer. So, I would suggest that person get some counseling, get some help with the husband, and I believe it'll iron out very nicely, because we must do the will of the Lord. Remember, marriage is entirely sanctified by God, the bed is sanctified also under the conditions that God is sanctified. So, fine we leave it there. 65. Now, I said for the men we've got a few minutes left, (say five minutes) …if any brother wants to ask a question in case I did not explain something, so you caught it, or this has aroused further questioning, I would feel that I was not right in closing off without giving you a chance, because I've had my chance. And you are suffering by listening to me, and I don't believe in being one sided. I believe that my wife's name is on our checks the same as my name is there. And if she ever complains, I say, "Look kid, your name's on the check something as long as the money is there, write it. If you blow it, it's your privilege, it's just as much yours as mine." And that make it get real tight. [Bro. Vayle chuckles] She doesn't blow it. But that's what I mean. That's the way our marriage is. She's been a good worker, a good wife anything I've got is hers. That's the way it is, that's the way it's going to be. And if something happens where she blows it, well, that's just que sera, [it will be] that's the way life is. I wouldn't be the first guy that got blowed out, and I wouldn't be the last guy, and I'd likely deserve it. 66. So, I'm going to give you a chance, your names are on the same check mine is, so if you want to ask a question now, you're part, we're all part together, so if there's any questions just feel free and easy. And women write yours down, pass it to a man, [Bro. Vayle chuckles] not your husband, I'll let you be out of order for a second. Any question then? [Question 34: asked is inaudible] Yep, I remember, there's a case right on the platform where a woman came and Bro. Branham said, "That somebody that exercised witchcraft on the person," and he prayed for the person. There's another time when this is personal, but let's let the cat out of the bag, because look, there shouldn't be any cats in the bag anyway, but a certain boy that was well known to Bro. Branham worked with him was going to go fishing with Bro. Branham. But he did not get there in time and somebody else came by and Bro. Branham went fishing with him. When this boy found out, he took Bro. Branham's hat and he literally cursed and threw it in the corner. Bro. Branham came back and picked up his hat and he told the boy that did it, said, "Take that hat and burn it, there's a curse on it." 67. So, there is such things which I myself would want to doubt that anybody could receive a curse except by suggestion, or by being opened to it. But evidently there is such a thing as cursing, and the Bible warns us to curse not. And I don't believe that means taking the name of the Lord in vain, or something like that. I believe it means to literally to have an imprecation [act of cursing] forcefully attempting to control lives by evil powers. Now, let's go to the realm of spiritism, absolutely it's done. It's done. Men have the power to control devils, because devils control them. You might wonder why I say that, because the devil's will allow certain control in order to get the best of you. They can be used, and there can be curses evidently placed. But other than that, I can't say beyond that, because I would have to go into the context again of what as in that prayer line, and perhaps find other things the prophet said. But I'm of the…of what Bro. Branham has said, and what I have known that has been absolutely proven that there definitely are such things as curses. Witchcraft and the whole thing. And of course, let's face it, the more superstitious and darker the people are, the more susceptible they will be. That is true, there's something in there, I just don't know more about. That's it. Well, shall we rise. I know with not staying with the central topic sometimes these meetings you don't know that a service like this is done a lot of good, but I hope that I've been able to help you in certain areas. I know in others I haven't, but I've been as honest as I can to deal with the problems and sympathetic as I can to see every side that I possible could see. To give all the advice I could from what the prophet has taught. So, the Lord bless you. Heavenly Father, we thank you for the good time we've had together here with your people, enjoying our fellowship, the Word of Almighty God. And I just hope and pray, Lord, that the people have been encouraged to set the high standard, Lord, which breaks our hearts to know is not in the land, where men and women, Lord, are so prone to stand apart and not admit that we are of each other. O God, help us at least to have the right spirit, because then we know that there's a good opportunity having the right Word. So, Lord, form a new spirit within us tonight. Help me, Lord, as I admit personally that I've got maybe a bigger job then some of the folk here, the majority of folk. This having been the desire of my life embroiled in it, and so disappointed many times dishearten. So many times, Lord, seeing so many things come in, and I pray, Lord Jesus, that You'll help me to just stand there and draw the bigger circle. Not to carp and complain, but to know this that's just part of the job that You've told me to do. And I pray, Lord, as the people pray with me that that will happen in my life. Because I have confidence in their prayers, Lord, tonight and their love. And I pray for them the same way, Lord, as we're all praying together that there will not be the enemy come amongst this people, or any people here, Lord, in the churches which we have such love and respect for, in Herschel, Kunisanone, and any other place, Lord, where Your Name is lifted up, Lord God, that sweet same Spirit that we're talking about. Now, abide in each one that not under any condition can anybody of high or low esteem, or any esteem at any time ever cause this people to be deterred for one second from their deep spirituality that they're looking forward to, that they'll never separate over the doctrine, and over this Message. But count each other better than themselves and in honor love each other. Standing back in humility and persevering within themselves, demanding of themselves that this be so, because it's commanded. "And greater is He that is within us, then he that's in the world," Lord. So, Heavenly Father, we just believe now at this moment that as we by water baptism immersion, symbolically died and rose in the newness of life. Let this be a service of death unto all those things which could be even the least a little contrary. Rising with this depth of a new spirit that's going to bring the dynamism of the Word of God into our lives. Because, Lord, I could be wrong, I might be praying a million miles off Your Word. But I'm beginning to wonder, Lord, that if we could possibly be dynamised with that kind of a spirit. Since the prophet warned us, we must have an new spirit, even have the Holy Spirit, then what about this? I'm wondering, Lord, but if there's nothing to it, wonderful. But if there is, God help us, for we're sincere tonight, Lord. People here of one accord, one mind. So, Father, by grace and faith in You tonight we consider that this is all under the Blood, it's all over. All a misunderstanding, every-thing, Lord, just go by the board. And not only here, Lord, because it's such a minor thing here to what is other places, worst than the open warfare, name calling and everything else, God. I'm going down there, Lord again, I'm amongst it all the time. Help me to get above it, I know better, now help me to get above it. Lord, there is a place we can walk in the trough of the storm, doesn't matter how high the waves are, how deep the water. How strong the wind blows, the gates of hell cannot prevail. And we're standing on It, Lord, tonight. Let this grace be amongst us tonight, O God, as our prime desire tonight. And we praise You for It, and we thank You for It, and believe, O God, that You've heard an answer to our prayer. Now, unto the King Eternal, immortal, the only wise God, be all power and honor and glory through Jesus Christ. Amen. The Lord bless you. Questions Answered (0378C) Page PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 1
