In His Presence # 1 Bro. Lee Vayle - February 26, 1984 Shall we just pray. Heavenly Father, we're very happy to be in Your Presence again today, knowing that we're one day nearer home then we were yesterday. We're years closer to home then we were at years ago, Lord, and we know actually that it is come to the place now a complete ushering in of the Millennium that we are already joined into, and a part of that which is fast becoming manifest. We just somehow know by human factors that it's slow to us, but we know that it's greatly accelerated in the Spirit, and we know It's not too far off now before It'll all be over as far as the things of this world is concerned. And the Shout will go forth now, the king of this world become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ, and we shall reign on this earth with Him. We thank You Lord, we're reigning already in a certain spiritual way which we've had our mind renewed so we are now reigning and taking precedence over creeds and dogmas, and cults, and denominations and all those things; which are nothing, but the frivolity of the world, and trappings of the world. And one day will soon perish, and there'll not be found any trace of them, because they don't have roots in themselves. They are that which have been grafted upon a root. And we know now that all those limbs are going to be cut off and destroyed, but the root is going to go on purified and right back where it should be. These things we thank You, Lord. So, bless us today as we study Your Word. May It be rich and ruler to our souls in Jesus' Name we pray. Amen. You may be seated. [Local announcements are made] 1. All right, now look...I've been sort of... I don't know what I can say, but I just feel led this morning to take a Message of Bro. Branham's to just kind of cut back on what I've been teaching and put it to the...next week when there's foot-washing and communion. And go into the Message that Bro. Branham preached In His Presence, which he preached in 1962. And I don't have all that time I supposed to finish It, but I'll start this morning by taking his Scripture and reading what he has to say. And we'll make some comments on It, which are actually very obvious. And we'll just have to go where our time takes us. Now, In His Presence: now first of all I want you to understand the Presence of God is a subject which has been presented to the people with great authority and power, and great good over the last two thousand years. Now, there's a certain monk by the name of Bro. Lawrence, or friar, I'm not sure which it was it might not be any difference, I don't know. And anyway, he wrote this nice little article called "Practice the Presence of God", where in, the essential substance is set forth as: "no matter what you do, or what situation you are in, you recognize Him and His relationship to you; and whatever you do, then you do with the recognition that you're doing it unto Him." And he found that by doing this, that even the most menial and what would be in some people's eyes degrading condition and chores took on a very glorified state, as he recognized God in everything as the Scripture says, "To rejoice in all things, and no matter what condition you find yourself in." 2. Now, also there is the understanding of the Presence of God, that though God is not universally present in the sense of pantheism, that God is Present in the understanding of omniscience and omnipotence. So therefore, if God knows everything, and can do everything, then He doesn't have to be in any one place; or He can be in one place and it doesn't matter if He's not in another place. Now, this gets us to understand that God is not amorphous, or without bounds or limitation just because He's Spirit. See? Now, then is another understanding which is very true, that God is Present by the Baptism with the Holy Ghost. Now, that Presence of course is something that you have to watch and not begin to confuse It with other understandings of Presence, because that Presence of God is too much like a Father and a Son where the Son in a certain area, He could be in Canada, United States, one of the Islands Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Asia, so on. He carries with Him the Presence of His Father by virtue of the fact that the Life of the Father is in Him. Now, you got to watch that, because that's a whole lot different from the understanding of the Presence of God wherein Moses, Paul, Isaiah and different ones literally were confronted with God Himself in a form that whereby they could apprehend that He was Present. So, that's the difference there. 3. So, these things you want to remember as we begin reading. Now he reads from Isaiah 6. [In His Presence 09-09-62] [7] In the year that king Uzziah died (that Isaiah) I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one having six wings; with twain he covered his face, with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.(Twain of course is two.) And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD God of hosts: and the whole earth is full of his glory. In other words, there's a manifestation in the whole world by creation of a most glorious God. If anybody cannot really apprehend Godhead through creation, well that's fine. I just go along with God and say the man's a fool, and we won't even dress that one up, because neither does God. "For the fool has said in his heart, there is no God." [Ps 14:1] And It says: ...the posts of the door (that's the temple) moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.(Like a haze.) Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this has touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin is purged.(Now see, there had to be a blood offering, before that would even take place. That's why there's an altar.) And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Who shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here I am; send me. 4. Now, we find that in the Presence of God, men recognizes themselves to be sinners. We may feel pretty good, when we're out in different places, and feel like we're pretty good people. But when we ever, we come into the Presence of God, then we see how little we are. [9] Standing not long ago with a friend of mine that I had the privilege of leading to Christ, Burt Caul, up in New Hampshire, a hunting partner, we were standing by Cold Brook Falls up in the Adirondack, and it was such a mammoth big falls. I had taken my family last year up there to look at it. Way back off the road, you have to hike back to look to it. And we saw that blue-green water pouring with such mighty power out of the mountains, and gushing down over the rocks, Burt stood there and looked at me, and he said, "Gee, Billy, it makes a man feel just so little," and he measured about a quarter of an inch on his fingers. (See, like you do, you put your fingers apart,) and I said, "That's right, Burt." Now, all he knew of getting into the Presence of God was by seeing His creation. 5. Now, this brings us to the place where the perceptive never ever miss the Presence of God. There's a recognition, and we must understand in this Message, that Bro. Branham brings us, is that the premise is set before us. And a premise is a principle. A literal rule that you go by, that there will never be a time in under any condition that the Elect will ever miss the Presence of God. They never will. And on the other hand, it would take the fool, the reprobate, the serpent seed, to fail to see the Presence of God. And I speak in the terms of continuity. Or to denigrate, to say something against the Presence of God. Such as when Abraham sat in the door of his tent, and he saw three men. Just ordinary men. Dust over their feet, over their clothes. Might have looked they hadn't shave for several days, strangers on a sojourn, and they came by. And Abraham looked and he said, "There's God." Oh, come on, how do you do it. Said, "Now, how it is?" No, that's not it. How would you fail to recognize? See? And yet, you take it to the literally the lowest strata of society, which is humanity, and you say, "I don't believe that's true." Well, you haven't...waited to hear what I said. No nature is in rebellion and in disharmony, and in disunity as is man. So, in that respect, we are the sub-strata, and I don't mean foundation, I mean 'yuck' in plain English. Now, all Burt knew was through nature the Presence of God. And you know, that's something, because there isn't anybody, there can't be anybody outside of the incomplete human, (nice thought) who doesn't feel something greater than he is when he looks at nature. Now, I don't care if he's sub-human now in the sense that he's reprobate and serpent seed, because even they got religion. Their religion might even be in nature itself, but they know there's something there. 6. Now, Bro. Branham said: [10] I wonder the man who wrote "How Great Thou Art," if he didn't look up one night and look at the stars, how far away they are. A few months ago, Brother Fred, (that's Sothman) Brother Woods (that's Bank's) and I, was standing with Brother McAnally out in the Arizona desert, we were measuring, trying,(that is) one star, to see how close it was to another. And maybe no doubt you like (you know) with this, you know, you take your pen; if you're going to see ratio proportion, like for instance, how wide that curtain is up there in respect to how long it is, all I've got to do is take my pencil like this and hold it strictly at arm's length and line it up, or ruler. And then I take down here and I get perfect ratio and proportion. So, they were standing out there wanting me to take a telescope and look up and say, "Well, I can (just a minute) that star there, looks about a quarter inch, and that one there looks about half an inch, that looks like an inch and a half." And they're looking at those stars and...they would do that. I think anybody does those things. You see, I'm not smart, I knew by myself you could do this. I didn't know the best way is to put a straight jacket on your arm. I let mine crook a bit and then try to hold the crook just the way I wanted it. Because it was easier if I did this as a slide-rule. You can't do that. See, I know, but that's what they were doing without a doubt, because people do those things see. 7. Okay. They're looking up there at those stars and trying to measure how close one was to the other. And with millions and billions of miles away, they didn't look over a quarter inch from each other. Then we begin to think, according to scientific proof of that, those stars are probably further away from each other than we are from them. Now, they were looking at nature, see the grandeur of God. And of course when you start and talking about the distance and all, you're thinking how...then if God could do this, then how big is the God that could do this? See, just like you go...like years ago there was a man down in Tampa, Florida, (I think somewhere in there, maybe toward Fort Myers, I forget which,) he was written up after he died. He had been jilted by his girl friend. He was a genius and he went plumb into a regression, but he could manipulate with string and pulleys, weights that were phenomenal. And they believed that he found the secret of the Great Pyramid. But he wouldn't tell anybody his secret, it died with him. Now, the thing is: if you look at what that man could do with little bits of pulleys and little bits of string, and I don't think he even had nylon. And he wasn't using chains. Nobody knows how he did it. They haven't figured it to this hour, maybe they never will. When you look at what he could do, and you could say, "Hey, man, look at what that guy did." You might not realize, but suddenly your heart and your mind say, "Boy, that fellow really had something." 8. Now, this is what you're looking at nature. And if nature doesn't lead you to a conclusion through the vastness and the grandeur, and then as you look at minuteness and realize that that God had weighed everything in the balances, so there's nothing without atomic structure and weight and balance, even to gases; and you cannot see the infinity, the infiniteness you might say, of the grandeur of Almighty God when you see the vast scale. So, the prophet stood out there with those men, and they looked up and they begin to realize a little bit of the inspiration that man who wrote 'How Great Thou Art'. "When I see the (skies out there,) I hear the rolling thunder." I know there's a hundred million volts out there, and that's small out there in a lightening flash. I think they've taken a hundred million volts off the Alps. Of course I think I burnt up the transformers, everything else, but the realize that "how big is God?" You see, how great is God? How infinitely tender if He weighed everything even the dust of the earth in the balance. And do you know weighed the dust of the earth in a balance, He was weighing your cells? So at the imprint of the Holy Ghost when you go back to gases, He'll bring you out, and He'll bring you back. Why don't you scream? I feel like screaming! Just feel like screaming somehow. I don't understand it. I don't have to understand it, but I know it's there. See? 9. Now, ...we begin to think, they're further from each other than we are from them. [11] Then we realized how little we are when we realize how great He is, and how close we come in of the coming of His Presence. (Now see, he wants to bring it down to the personal. Not the great impersonal.) Somehow or other, it's always thrown a great effect upon people to come into the Presence of God. I've seen the time in my ministry when you'd see the Presence of God come into such a place that it would bring a person up and just reveal the life to them, call out their sins of all kinds of immoral acts, and it bring such a holy hush amongst the people till they'd drop out of the prayer line before they ever come up to be prayed for, and run to the altar and get right with God before they come up into His Presence. In other words, it's that they weren't in the Presence already. They're ready to be dealt with, and deal with the fact of the Presence. 10. Now, do you know that this man William Branham is not talking here about a gift. He's not talking even here about a man full of the Holy Ghost. He's talking about the Logos. And you know the Logos is...the discerning is found over here in Hebrews 4:12. (12) For the (Logos) of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, the joints and marrow, (discerns) the thoughts and intents of the heart. (13) Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his (notice, It goes from the impersonal, from the Word, which would be impersonal to the personal. See? His) sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with (which) we have to do. The same One that put everything in the form of atoms, molecules, valance, weight, going into chemistry. All those laws. That same One the Bible said that He made it all, He maintains it all. Then if He maintains it all, it certainly would not be ridiculous to know and to understand that He knows every thought of our hearts. Therefore, no man can be a hypocrite and get away with it, because as God said to William Branham, "The thoughts of men speak louder in heaven, then they're words do on earth." Now, I can be up here with fine phraseology which I don't use anymore, though one time I had that ability, I care less. And I can be up here and preach with the golden tongue of an orator, and my tongue weren't more lead than gold as it is now, (go back to the old golden tongue, be a sharp shooter) I might sell you a bill of goods, but God knows my heart. And I'm just kidding myself if I stood here as a hypocrite. And believe me, there is no preacher that stands in a pulpit and doesn't know if he's a hypocrite or not. "Well," you say, "Bro. Vayle, I believe there are people that know the Scripture says concerning them, they're deceived and deceiving." That's exactly correct. But I want to ask you a question: why does God hold them in judgment if they don't know something? Why does the prophet rage out, he said, "You know better than that." So, we're not here trying to gild the lily. We understand the Presence as a Reality. We're talking of God Himself. See? See, there's something about coming into the Presence of God that causes things to happen. (He said,) I've seen people laying in cots and stretchers. (Now, that's what he's going to talk about. Things that are going to happen in the Presence of God.) Now, this is a literal Presence that you'll see that lies beyond the Presence we talk about, God being omnipotent, omniscient. God indwelling a believer's heart, this is different. This is where you're talking of the God of heaven, that Abraham looked out and he said, "There is God." And proved that He was God. 11. Now: [12] That night down in Mexico, when that little dead baby laying under a blanket, that little Spanish mother brought up, or little Mexican mother, rather, brought up. When they saw, several thousand people saw, maybe fifty or seventy- five thousand at one gathering, (I think it was over a hundred thousand I believe were there.) saw that little dead baby come to life, women fainted, people threw up their hands and screamed. Why? They realized that a human being could not do that, that they were in the Presence of Almighty God. And it caused something to happen. Now, you notice right there, as Bro. Branham is linking humanity with omnipotence. He's linking the prophet with the God of the prophet. We see a principle now: prophet God, God prophet. Now remember, we're looking at a picture that was taken by a camera that don't lie. Authenticated by the top man in the FBI of documents and finger-prints and photograph's and all the rest. He was the head of it, Dr. Lacy. George J. Lacy. So, we're looking at authentic, photograph. And he said, "It's the only known one in the world." 12. All right: [13] I've been privileged to hear godly men speak. (Now, let's watch Presence through baptism. Men of ministries taking a Word.) It was said one time of Charles Finney, little bitty fellow, never weighed over about a hundred and ten pounds, but he had such a forceful way of speaking. He was trying the acoustics one day in a building. They didn't have PA systems then. There was a man repairing, up on the roof of the place, and he heard the man come in, so he didn't know who they were, he just kept quiet. And Mr. Finney was going to try the acoustics. After spending much time in prayer for that revival that he was going to hold, he wanted to see how his voice to see how it would carry in the building. He slipped up behind the pulpit, and said, "Repent, or perish." And he said it with such force, after being under the anointing of God, (Now you see, that's a minister full of the Holy Ghost with a gift. Not a prophet.) Until the man dropped out of the top of the building onto the floor, (He was under conviction, and of course, came down to repent to God.) [14] (And this man Finney) preached the Gospel in such a way till he stood in Boston, Massachusetts, in a little bay window, because there was no church could hold his crowd. (So, he preached a full crowd on the street.) And he stood there with such mighty force, and preached hell such a place, until working men with their baskets under their arms, fell into the street and screamed for mercy... 13. Now, the pope every now and again, he goes out in St. Peter's and he stands in his balcony and he preaches to huge crowds. How many people screamed that they're sinners and fall down? Why don't you get a glass of beer if you want to know the truth. You think people don't do that? Come on, they could leave here, from this building here and go out and get a glass of beer. I trust we've got the Presence of God more than what the world has. But we don't kid ourselves either. They screamed for mercy in the Presence of God. Great preachers who have been able, by the Word of God to bring the Presence of God to an audience... Now, here the Presence is by the Living Word. That's right. The Presence of God, is God anointing His Word. The lips of the speaker to the ears and heart of the hearer. And God is in that, and enlivening that. And that person because of being seed, can reach out and be watered by that Word and come to life. Because always, life is already in the seed. And if you are seed, all you need to do is be brought into manifestation, or life begin to produce. 14. In other words, you begin to have attributes come forth. See? It's very simple as you understand the things of God. Don't worry about it, just believe them. You'll understand more as time goes on. Now: ...in the Presence of God. Great preachers who have been able, by the Word of God to bring the Presence of God to an audience... Far be it that men would ever be so seared in their hearts they could never recognize the Presence of God. Far be it. I'm sorry, his prayer is gone to the ground. His prayer didn't get pass his eyebrows. Because already, men's hearts were so seared. Now: When the first man, (now, he illustrates this searing bit, and what's going on now, so watch it now: [15] When the first man as soon as he had sinned and done something wrong, and when God came into Adam's presence, or Adam came into the Presence of God, Adam, he could not stand in the Presence of God. He ran and hid himself in the bush and tried to cover himself with a fig leaf, because he knew he was standing in the Presence of Jehovah, the Creator. That was the reaction of the first man, after he had sinned and tried to come into the Presence of God with sin upon his soul. (Now, that's a lesson for this six thousand years.) He could not hide, because he was tender yet. Sin had not took a hold like it has rooted into people's hearts today, (a conscious seared with a hot iron,) but he was very conscious that he was standing before His Creator. Now, he hid himself in the bushes and would not come out, and would not come out until God had made a preparation for him. (Now, he hid himself. How much are people are hiding themselves today?) 15. I've been watching that rape case up in Boston. Now, the lawyers are going to try to prove that this woman enticed the men. Oh yeah. I tell you, if I was a woman today I would certainly watch how I dress and where I went, and I think I'd want to carry a derringer, [hand gun] a sawed-off shot gun, and a retinue of people to help me, because you haven't got any hope today with the judicial system. That's the condition today. Now, women ask for a lot of it, but they don't ask for that knowingly. They flip themselves, Bro. Branham said, "Your grandma was a flapper, your mother was a harlot and you're just like her." And it's too bad that's the case. So let's take back to men, their father's came back from Cain, he was a son of the beast. And what are men, but beasts. Men don't need to talk about their sexual desires, so they've got to have some type of recourse to anything and vent their lust. We don't preach that here, we don't stand for it here. Let's get that flat. Fear is what's behind it. When men are so rotten...well let's prove how rotten they are: they'll take their own little daughters, their nieces and they'll say incest is alright. Then you tell me when they'll do that that they won't rape a woman on a pool table and try to blame it on her. Don't go talking about men being nice. Not around me anyway. Take a good look in the mirror. You begin to wonder. Seared with a hot iron. They don't hide. People are funny. Many people today, instead of being shamed of their past they kind of laugh about it. It was a good joke. It's not a good joke. You'll pay for what you did. You'll pay on this side, or the other side. It's not a joke. Even men and women who make mistakes they didn't really want to make pay. And they might pay all this lifetime. But today people don't care. Do it yourself divorce kits. It's rotten. 16. All right, Adam was tender. Tender, six thousand years ago. [16] We could go back, and take in Genesis the 17th chapter and the 3rd verse, the great patriarch Abraham, when he came into the Presence of God, and God spoke to him in the Name of Almighty God, Abraham fell on his face. (So he should.) The great patriarch, servant of God, could not stand in the Presence of God, though had served Him for twenty-five years, faithfully. (True.) But when God moved into Abraham's presence, the patriarch fell on his face because he couldn't stand in the Presence of God. What Presence was that? In a form of a man. All that God was stood right there. You say, "How could God do it? How could God bring Himself into one form which was that limited?" Because He's God. [17] In Exodus 3 we find that Moses, the great servant and prophet of God, when he was back on the backside of the desert, that man was a holy man. He'd been born for a purpose. Born from his mother's wombs to be a prophet. He tried to get his education and everything he could to deliver his people, because he understood that he was to deliver his people, but at that time he had understood it by a theological standpoint. He was trained. He was well scholared. He could teach the Egyptians wisdom, which was the smartest people in the world. He knew all the ins-and-outs. He knew the Scripture from A to Z. He knew the promises that God had made. He knew them from an intellectual standpoint. He was a great military man. But one day on the backside of the desert, when he came into the Presence of God, he jerked off his shoes knowing he was on holy ground. He could not stand upon his feet when he come in the Presence of God; he fell to his face like Abraham did. He could not stand in the Presence of God. 17. Now, we hear people fell on their faces. You say, "What do you mean you say a man fell on his face?" He proved he was a flop and a failure. He proved he couldn't take it. He proved he wasn't up to it. How does a man stand up before God? He can't do it. I don't care how long he's been in the ministry, a Christian, or anything else. Now, it doesn't mean of necessity you're going to fall flat on your face and flop down on the ground, although that's good. It means that you recognize that you're nothing in His Presence, and you recognize that no matter what you might do, or have done, you need something done for you. That you are the one at the loose ends. You're the one that needs the cords tied up. [18] Exodus 19:19 when the chosen people of God since way back in the days of Abraham, from Abraham come Isaac, then came Jacob, out of Jacob came patriarchs, years after years had developed holy men, great men, chosen a people, chosen race, that sanctified, holy people, had served God all their lives. One day God said, "Gather Israel out here, I'm going to speak to them." [19] But when God came down on top of Mount Sinai, and the whole mountain caught fire, and the smoke was flying from it like a furnace, and the Voice of God roared out. Israel fell on their faces and said, "Let Moses speak, but not God, lest we die." A man in the Presence of God realizes he's a sinner. 18. Now, these people had carried out the commandments and everything, but when God spoke they moved up into His Presence, they realized that they were not right. I understand that's exactly what Bro. Branham said. Now, they said, now Caiaphas and men said, "Now if this One were the Messiah, He would have had a red carpet come down from heaven, and He would have come and said, 'O Caiaphas, great one, (he said,) hallelujah, am I glad to see you, because you are the cream of the crop'." Now, when they stood in Jesus' presence there was one thing came to an issue: if Jesus was right, they were wrong. So, already the die was cast. The die is always cast in the Presence of God. And I'm going to tell you something, man always comes out the loser. And if It weren't for the Blood of Jesus having been shed there'd be no such thing as man ever having made a gain. See? All right, Now: ... they said, "Let Moses speak, not God, for if God speaks we'll all die. Let Moses speak to us." [20] It was in Luke 5, 8, when Peter... Oh, when he was a great stubborn man, a man of influence, (he means, the influence was amongst rough men, he could bulldoze he way through, see?) great power we understand that. He was like a bully, a noted fisherman. When he saw the miracle of God performed by an ordinary Man, looked like,(to him anyway) which he recognized at that time that that took more than a man to throw all them fish in the net where he, with all his education, his knowledge of fishing, had fished all night and not even took a thing. But he heard Someone say, "Cast your net in." [21] And when he begin to pull, he had a great multitude of fishes, and he realized that he was a sinful man. 19. Now, there's a lot of things that indicate the Presence of God. And that doesn't have to be as outstanding as a lot of people think. Just as long as there's a consciousness it can do something for that person. And so knowing that he was a sinful man: ...he said, "Depart from me, O Lord, for I am a sinful man." Who said that? Saint Peter in the Presence of God, asked for God to depart out of his presence, because he recognized himself a sinner. (See?) Now, you can see the Presence of God by manifestation. Like Jesus said, He said, "If I had not done the works no other man did, did they had not sin, but now they've both seen and hated both me and my Father." [Jn 15:14] And that verse of Scripture is one strongest Scriptures I've got in my whole memory, in my mind. Because that shows exactly what people are. They come around and they see the works of God, and they say, "Well, we love the Lord." And they say, "Now, just a minute, what about those acts?" "Oh," they say, "I know that's not God, that's the devil and that's not the way it is." And I say, "Just a minute now, and you say you love God and you hate that?" [points to the picture of the Pillar of Fire] "Yeah!" "Well, you're a liar." I'm sorry, you're a liar. Now, you say, "Bro. Vayle hold it." Don't tell me to hold anything. I'm going to answer to God. I'm going to answer to you from this pulpit for what I say. And I'm telling you, don't tell me anything when it's already been told. He said, "They both seen and both hated me and my Father." Now, you try to think. You see why I preach the Presence the way I do? To why I understand they way I do that Jesus Christ Appears to the Gentiles in the Form of the Holy Spirit exactly as He Appeared in the flesh to Israel. And they've done the same thing. And people come by and say, "Oh, we love Him." That is a lie from the pit of hell. You don't even know your own heart. You don't know your mind. You don't know your feelings. Oh, God, I should say something to blister your hides. That's right. I'm not going to say it. Said it, but not over the pulpit. And I'll say it to some people yet before it's over. I imagine I will. 20. They know no more God as Bro. Branham said than a 'Hottentot' [African tribe] knows about an Egyptian knight, and I'll put it way worse than that when I say it, but not at this minute. [22] Abraham recognized himself wrong. Adam recognized himself wrong, which was the son of God, recognized himself wrong. Moses recognized himself wrong. Israel, as a church and nation, recognized themselves wrong. Depart from me, for I am a sinful man." Now, he didn't try to say, "Now, I'm holy and worthy to receive this." He said, "I am a sinful man." (And how are you going to stand there? By grace.) [23] One time a self-styled religionist, with all the theology he could learn under a great teacher called Gamaliel, his name was Saul of Tarsus, which we know as Paul: religious to the dot. He knew all the ins and out of their religion. He was a Pharisee of the Pharisee, and a Hebrew of the Hebrews. He was a noted man, a scholar, smart, shrewd, educated, claimed he knew God from baby up. One day on his road down to Damascus, that Pillar of Fire shined over him and he fell off of his feet to the ground in the dust, and said, "Lord, what would You have me to do?" All his great training, all of his great theological training, all his education didn't mean a thing when he stood in the Presence of God. Now look, let's understand this and know, it was men that we admire, are the men that can do the most and the best with what is available to do with. 21. Number two: we admire the people shoot from the lip. In other words, we have the doers and the philosophers. We have the unions and the politician. (I just had to slip that in.) [laughter] The truth in a carnal crude way. People admire; they admire knowledge even to the extent where educational system is at most, and I speak in terms of percentage wise. Nothing but a conglomeration of un-assorted facts, which if people handle knowing them...not knowing where the go they're credited with amounting to something. They forget that Edison had little or no education, and I doubt if Marconi had very much either. Paul was smart. [24] I'd like to stop here a minute and say that's the same thing today. You might have a DD., Ph.D., whatever you might be; you might have gone to church since you was a child; you might have got all the religious acts, you might have gone through them that there were, but once in the Presence of God (that is, if you recognize it) you'll feel so little and no-account. Now, he's talking today. Now, he's talking today, remember, if he's talking today about the Presence of God, he is not talking about the time that Paul was in His Presence. He is not talking about the time of Israel. He was not talking about the time of Moses or Adam. He is talking about now our time. And that would be distinctly the prophet and God, and the Church. [25] Paul realized that he was wrong, and he fell to the ground under the influence and power. And when he looked up and saw the very God he'd been preaching, against, that he thought he knew, saw that he was wrong, he fell from his feet to the ground, because he was in the Presence of God. He saw that Pillar of Fire. Now, see here we're talking about the secret of the Presence. And the real secret of revelation is: do you know what you are seeing? Can you place it? So, when you're talking about Presence, what does it matter if He stood here today? What would it matter if you couldn't place It? It wouldn't matter too much. It'd be condemnation of course. Now, we'll see more of this as we get to paragraph 36, which is down the road a little bit. 22. Now: [26] What about the great Saint John of Revelations 1:7, when God showed the vision, and John looked, and heard a Voice speaking to him. And John turned to look to see the Voice, and saw seven golden candlesticks. One in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, with hair like wool, eyes like flames of fire, feet like pillars of brass; girded with a golden girdle around the paps, (that's the breasts) called the Word of God. And when the great Saint John who walked with Christ, (now he walked with Him, three and a half years there,) leaned upon His bosom, he had done all these things... As I said this morning, Paul's ministry exceeded any of them. Here, after John had walked with Jesus, talked with Jesus, slept with Jesus, had eaten with Jesus, when he seen Him standing there, in the glorified state, he fell like a dead man at His feet. Amen. Think of it. [27] We come to church, and talk, and praise God, and so forth, but, oh, brother, when we see Him coming, something will be different in our hearts. Now see, you're looking at the very fact today that Bro. Branham was fundamental in respect that there is an Appearing and a Coming and it all really is one in a sense of a Coming as part of it, but there's an Appearing in here. 23. Now: We might think we do our religious duty by go to church and pay our tithes, it's fine.) We might think that we keep the laws of the church recite all the creeds, but once let us get a look at Him, the whole thing's changed all the way around. Yes, it sure. (Now, that's the effect of the Presence through revelation.) Now, I want to tell you something: I wouldn't be surprise this friend of mine is dead now, though he might not be; very handsome, very fine lovely person. I was in his home in Corpus Christi, in fact the house that he lived in he paid $120,000 for it, which is way back in about 1958 or '60 and very lovely person, Pentecostal. And he said, "Bro. Vayle, I have never seen a miracle." And he told me his wife sitting by the TV, and Oral Roberts preaching she was instantly healed of tuberculosis and he hadn't seen a miracle. I don't know...well, that's the picture. That's the picture. [28] This great Saint John, a great man like that, the Bible said in Revelations 1:7, he fell as if he as though was a dead man. After three and a half years of fellowship with Christ, and one of the writers of the Epistles, rode behind Him, ate with Him at the table, slept with Him at the bed, fellowshipped with Him wherever He went, but when he's turned to see Him, he had no more life left in him. He fell like a dead man to the ground, or to the ground. All right. 24. Now, this is the picture of the Baptism with the Holy Ghost giving way to the Holy Ghost Himself. Because here was a man full of the Holy Ghost and dropping down dead like at the Presence of the Holy Ghost. Now, you see what we're talking about Presence? Justification gave way to Sanctification, Sanctification gave way to the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost gave way to the Holy Ghost Himself. Gives way to the very Presence of Almighty God. Now, you'll notice here that as Bro. Branham talks about a man knowing nothing in the Presence, we are talking now at the end-time of what John saw, we are aware of which if we know Presence, we give way to a complete repentance. You catch what I'm saying? All right, Paul stood down the road, he said, "I'm a Hebrew of the Hebrews, Pharisee of the Pharisees. I'm dedicated to kill these Christians (he said,) do what I can to run this thing into the ground, because that's anti God, and I am for God." He said, "I've got all the education, everything I need. I've got all the power to do it, (he said,) to zoom down the road like a Sherman tank." He's going to take everything to Israel, and suddenly God hits him, knocks him down like a ...?... And God says, "Why are you persecuting Me?" He said, "Who are You Lord?" He said, "I am Jehovah Savior." He said, "Oh, heaven forbid," he said. He knew right then he wall all messed up. He said, "What do You want me to do?" "Well," He said, "the first thing, (He said,) you got to do is (He said,) you got to recognize you got to go into a certain town there, and (He said,) there you'll be baptized in water. You'll get turned right around." I'm going to tell you, now Paul tasted of repentance to a true conversion of the mind started right there. He lost everything he ever knew at that point. He said, "Here I am going down the road serving God, being the best example in all the world of Judea. He said, "I'm the best man there is." And he said, "I get knocked plumb off my feet for being the best man in the country?" He said, "Just a minute..." Yeah, so you can see God came to a little Kentucky hillbilly William Branham. "Oh, He should come to me, hallelujah, I'm a great man. Oh, I'm a great man." Like a great guy thinks he figures he's a great teacher. I met him once, forget it. Try to tell the world except him preaching for Bro. Branham. Bro. Branham would looked like a little nincompoop. I should look like a little nincompoop, looking like him. The man hadn't been converted. The man hadn't come to repent. The man didn't see anything. Now, let's understand this; we're talking about changes taking place brother/sister. You get in contact with God, there's got to be some changes take place. Starts first of all in repentance. 25. Now: [29] We see Isaiah in Isaiah 6:5 we've just read, this great mighty prophet, he's one of the greatest prophets there is in the Bible. Sixty-six Books of the Bible; (and so on.) Now he said: Isaiah was one of the major prophets. (It's exactly right.) But one day he had been leaning upon the arm of Uzziah the great king, Uzziah been taken from him, and he was down. (The king was dead, and Isaiah felt kind of low,) He was a pretty good fellow; he was a good righteous man, if that righteous king (a good king) recognized him as a holy man and kept Isaiah in his temple. (The king was a friend of Isaiah, that's what he's talking about.) [30] Isaiah saw visions. He was a prophet. (A prophet, sees visions,) Isaiah preached the Word. He was a minister. Isaiah was a holy man. But one day, standing in the temple, he fell into a trance saw the Glory of God. He saw the Angels with Their wings over Their faces, wings over Their feet, and they were crying and crying, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty." [31] And that prophet realized he was nothing. He said, "Woe is me, for I am a man of unclean lips," 26. Now, why would he say that? He was a prophet. Who when he spoke the Word of God, spoke It under an impulse where God used his lungs, his breath, that all his pertinences of the speech, but bypassed the man's mind. And he heard himself talking. And the funny thing was, when he got through talking he could write It all down verbatim and not lose one little punctuation mark. A prophet can do that. You say, "How was the Bible written?" That's how, I'm telling you. They could tell exactly as It was. Bro. Branham had that gift. Now, here is a man who speaks for God. He put his hand in his mouth and he said, "Man alive, (he said,) I've been talking, and not even knowing (he said,) what a mess I am." In himself he was. But if God anointed a door knob, don't worry, it is still the Word of God. He said, "Woe is me, because I see the Glory of God." [32] And he said, when that angel cried, the posts of the temple shook back and forth. (They moved back and forth.) Brother, that'll make you. (What? Tremble see.) Not only is the posts are the temple going to shake, but the whole heavens and earth's are going to shake when He comes again. 27. Now, let's find out something here brother/sister, let's go to Hebrews 12. Now It says right here in verse 25. (25) See that (you) refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that...from heaven: (Doesn't say speaks them, now It says, it speaketh is from heaven.) And when is that One? That's in Revelation 10:1, when the mighty Messenger comes down. (26) Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. (27) And this... Yet once more, (signifies) the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, ( Now, he's not talking about creation now. He's talking about things that are made as pertaining to man.) that which cannot be shaken may remain. Now, the only thing that cannot be shaken right down it the actual essence, which is the Word. The coat may come off of It, like the life of the tree out there. Look, the life of that tree, that the bark on the tree may go, and the tree itself go, but there's a life somewhere called "tree life." And if God took all of that off the earth, all He'd have to do like He said in Genesis, "Let the earth bring forth the apple tree." It's already down in that ground, the life will come right up. Put a coat on it. That's why exactly when God calls, those cells of yours in the air and in the ground, (shooo) come right up. Yes sir. Don't ever sell these things short brother/sister. Just you stay with the Word of God. Know who you are, what you are, where you come from, where you're going. Because that's what it's all about. Now remember, in His Presence you're going to feel pretty much what you are, which is pretty raunchy. 28. Okay, now: Not only is the posts are the temple going to shake, but the whole heaven and earth is going to shake when He comes again. The mountains are going to flee, the sea will fade away, and scream "Hide us from the face of Him that sets upon the throne." (Now, that's in the actual incarnation. It's going on right now, started.) It's going to be a terrible time. I tell you, sinner friend, you better be checking it up. That's right. [33] Now, Isaiah said, "Woe is me, I'm a man of unclean lips, and I dwell among unclean people. And I'm--these people among us has got unclean lips." (That's right.) Why do they got unclean lips? Got unclean heart. "Out of the...heart the abundance of the mouth speaketh." [Mt 12:24] [34] Now remember, if such holy men recognized themselves sinners in the Presence of God, what will the sinner and ungodly do that day? (What day? The day He's coming.) What will people do who set in the meetings? (Now, we're getting right down again.) What will the people do that seen the power of God, that's heard the countdown on the Word, (know the hour they're living in,) that has seen God manifest Himself, and (beyond a shadow of doubt) every Scripture fulfilled, and will still try to make it to heaven without being born again and receive the Holy Ghost? Now, there it is. God vindicating the one way that you're going to make it. "You've got to be born again." [Jn 3:7] The Bible said, "If a righteous man scarcely be saved, where will the sinner and the ungodly appear?" (Well, you know they're not going to have a shadow.) Why does He say the righteous? Because we... Look it, in spite of the fact that the purging of God has been complete as per se, His ability to cleanse by the Blood we still got to have got to have identification. He's still got to stand there, and the Blood has got to stand there. See? 29. Now: What kind of a place are we going to stand in if we see God unfold Himself right before us, (and He's talking about Himself and the people,) and see the Glory of God just the same as those men did, and those kind of men cry out, prophets and sages upon whom the Word of God is based? In other words, they brought the very Word of God and they cry out. There wouldn't be anybody who is a greater force in this world in the Presence of God than a prophet who brings the Word, and a prophet who revels the Word, and they stand in the Presence of God and say, "Just a minute, I can't take it, I can't take it." Then, where is the great holy men amongst us, those that try to make themselves something? I want to know. A man now calls himself by my understanding he's supposed to be the archangel Michael. Do you know who Michael was? He was the figure that in the pre incarnation the flesh that Jesus used. Do you know who I am? A junkie. A pot-headed junkie, by my own thoughts and my own ways. But by the Blood and spiritual redemption I have a hope of coming into His likeness. Brother/sister, listen, you got to understand this: when God takes the beggar off the dung heap to turn him into a prince, he begins to act like a prince, not a part of the dung heap. Something's wrong somewhere. And I don't speak in terms that are crass to impress anybody, I do, because it's the only way I know how to get it across. ...they fell to their feet, and screamed, (each one of course,) "I'm man of unholy lips, unclean," what will it be then for that man who won't even confess his sins? 30. In other words, if these sins are under the Blood, and they've been walking with God and are known to be channels used of God, and they know what they are without God standing even in His Presence, (knowing what they are,) and what about these that can stand there and say, "Ah..." You know? What will it be for that teenager that won't confess his or her sin? Now, that means when you get into your teens. You're more than ready to be reckoned as an adult before God. You're days of innocence are far gone. What will it be for that hardhearted man that thinks he knows more about God's creation than God does Himself? (Who's God creation? Man is. Thinks he knows more about himself than God does.) What will happen to that man that's spent all of his life trying to disprove the Bible, where will that man appear at? Think of it. [35] This is evangelism. (Evangelism means 'good news to the sinner'. Especially, all the good news ...?... This is evangelism.) This is the time to shake people. This is the time that God said there'd come a time, He shook Mount Sinai one time but there'd come a shaking again, that He wouldn't only shake Mount Sinai, but He'd shake everything that could be moved. ...did you notice the rest of the Scripture? (See, Hebrews 12, I didn't read It all.) "But we receive a Kingdom that cannot be moved." Hallelujah. Everything that can be shaken down will be shaken down. The heavens will shake. The earth will shake. "Heavens and earth will pass away, but that Word shall never pass away. And then of course, that which is contingent, and of which the Word is of course, It can't pass away, because It's manifested Word. Do you think we're going to pass away? Come on! The Bride is not going to pass away. There's going to be a Resurrection and everything else. I'd make some people kind of look at me funny, because they don't think God's going to bring back the birds and things. Then where's He going to get them, because everything is going to burn. Their ideas are funny along side of mine. I laugh at their ideas, they laugh at mine. Who is going to have the last laugh? I'm going to have the last laugh. I can tell you right now, because the prophet of God saw it. He saw his dog and he saw his horse. "Oh," you say, "that's a figment." So, you're...that's good, maybe you're a bit drunk on your own figment. [laughter] 31. Listen: For upon this rock I'll build My Church, and the gates of hell will never prevail against It." (Upon the revelation.) And if the Church is built upon a revelation what can you do to that which is built that which can't pass away? Oh, come on, eternal life, is eternal life brother/sister. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken. But we receive a Kingdom which is the Word of God Himself, and God is His Word. And He don't shake Himself. Amen. Oh, my. But we receive a Kingdom that cannot be moved; it's unshakable, said Paul the Hebrew writer. See, they said to Jesus one day, "When is the kingdom going to appear? What about the Kingdom?" He said, "It comes without observation. It's here right now." [Lk 17:20] "Here I am. Hallelujah." And they said, "We weren't talking about that." He said, "I know you weren't, but I'm answering your question." How can two people be agreed walk together said to be agreed? How can you know what I'm saying unless you've got the same spirit I got? How could they know what Jesus was saying if they didn't have the same light? And how could anybody but Seed ever know the things of God will come to repentance? You're wasting your time. Still got the same screwed up idea that they had down there, old Pharaoh, bold Moses should have come back to tell those people, "Well listen people, let me tell you, 'well listen people, let me tell you, I just love old Pharaoh, he was my father and I just love him. We're going to pray and get him in the kingdom hallelujah'." [said in a high pitch voice] Your crocodile tears ain't worth nothing anymore than the tears of a pig if you just put an electric prod on it. How are you going to say what God hadn't said? God said to Moses, "You're going to be prophet, you're going to be God to Aaron, and Aaron is going to tell them what you're going to say, and I'm going to tell you what to say." And so Moses is going say, "Hallelujah, I heard from God, and old Pharaoh is going to be converted." And I'll tell you, when he gets converted he'll say, "Hallelujah, I've been wrong, I've been mean, I've been dirty, come and take over, hallelujah, I remember Joseph." Wouldn't that be nice? 32. A woman told me, she said, "I'll tell you," she said, "Our trouble, we let God down, we should have prayed for Joe Stalin." I looked at her and I thought, well bully for you sister. [laughter] Merciful God, why don't you pray for Lenin? They got their place. [36] Such a person and such a man, such a time and how they felt... Now listen, watch: he's talking about them and now. They and us, he and each man of God. Such a person and such a man, such a time and how they felt...We have also ourselves, (the prophet and the people) we saw the Glory of God like these men did. Sure. We saw It. We saw the Glory of God like Abraham saw It. We saw the Glory of God like Moses saw It, same Pillar of Fire, same power of God, same Christ revealing Himself, showing Himself, keeping His Word in the last days. (How much of God is in William Branham? Even as God was in that angelic figure.) Now, if you could put all of God in an angelic figure, don't tell me you couldn't put all of God in a human being temporarily, say that's the purpose of God. ...?... "I just don't see that." Well, what's to see? You've done been told it to receive it. Now you see, people are carrying humility a bit too far now. Now you won't find them fall down in the Presence of God and admit to God. Now they say..."No, He's not there, I can't do that." Then you say, "Well now, just a minute, God has taken and glorified man to the extent that if He so desires, (and the prophet said He did,) that the fullness of the Godhead was seen once more in human form." So now... "Now you see, but this by the... we're too humbled to ever think that God would do that. Aren't we nice?" [said in a disdainful voice] See him, spit on him, "we're too nice." So the soldiers plucked his beard and said, "Aren't we nice?" And the man who took the lash and beat him to a pulp said, "You know, I know you enjoy this, this is wonderful." Come on! Sick. 33. I'm going to tell you something: you think this world is not weird my brother, my sister? Don't you sell this short. Let me you, there is going to be and is at this point an insanity [Bro. Vayle pauses] that make people deny the very God as Israel did in openness. Now, I believe what the prophet... You say, "I wasn't there." Well, you listen, you get tuned in. We saw the Glory of God like Moses saw It, same Pillar of Fire, You say, "We did? Yes." In Branham Tabernacle, over three hundred people saw the Flames on the wall and they screamed and fainted. Picture right there, taken several times. You say, "I doubt that." That's your privilege. That's your privilege. In the face of George Lacy you tell me what It is? Why, fap, there's not all of you together and myself here, and you know I'm tremendously brilliant, especially my beautiful eyesight which can't see hardly past my nose anymore. [some chuckling] We can't even read altogether a fingerprint, head of the FBI, fingerprint department said, "That's authentic." Documents, photographs. Fap. Look at your fingernails, how many did a good job this morning? And you talk about how smart you are. Fap! Okay stupid, [laughter] join the crowd, we're all one. No, come on, look at it! I'm not necessarily having fun at people's expense, I'm bringing this down to the ridicule where they stand. I'm going to tell you something, I've got every right to do, because the Bible said, "God is in derision against his people." [Ps 2:4] He holds them in derision, [contempt] in irony and He will laugh them to scorn. With stammering lips is even a lip of derision. God lets people stammer all around. Holy Ghost can do that in a gift. I'm going to tell you, God spoke out audibly and clearly through a prophet. It wasn't a stammering. Maybe to the people they thought it was. God will do it, and it's a derision. Well, you look it up in the original, you'll find it's in a derision. Because He's going to hold them to it. Yet, people speak in tongues and prophecy, isn't that great? And a prophet come on the scene, 'Thus saith the Lord' and proved that God is here. Proved the very thing this prophet is talking about. And they say, "Now, hold it, that man is Jesus Only. No, he ain't one of us, no, no, no, that's man's false." I'll tell you when William Branham would have been false, if he would have come back and said what they said. He said that himself. He said, "Don't tell me, if genuine authenticated prophet of God will come back to an organization and stay with it, he's got to hit him." Then they kick him out. Moses wasn't doing too good when he tried to deliver Israel by his own understanding, intelligence and fortitude, and Pharaoh booted him out even then. So, if you ever come back with a revelation of God, I've got news for you, put on your track shoes, [laughter] because you are going to have to run, because you've got no hope. 34. Listen, proving himself. How can we come by then, and walk and treat It so lightly? How can we walk around and hold to our creeds and denominations, Now, that's the number one precept. The number one precept is always this: in the Presence, your mind becomes undone. Boggled. Therefore, as in the beginning when God talked to Adam and Eve, He talked to their minds, and God has never ceased to talk to the minds of men. So, the Presence of God requires communication to the mind. And this requires repentance. So there is no way that God can ever present Himself without a controversy. Without the presenting of a precept that causes a head on collision. Pastor Moses went down to pastor Pharaoh and he said, "God said, 'Let my people go'." And he said, "Who said what?" He said, "My God did." He said, "I don't know your God." "Well," he said, "you're going to know Him in on big hurry." Threw down the rod, it turned into a snake. Pastor Pharaoh said, "Well," he said, "Interesting, I've got a couple boys that aren't too dumb themselves. Come on here Jannes and Jambres, you're my chief high priests, (he said,) show this fellow Moses a thing or two." So they threw down their rods and two snakes began hissing at once. And Moses just looked, he didn't say one word. Just looked and pretty Moses' snake ate up their snakes. You just stand back and give God a chance, whatever He says is going to work out. You know the only time Moses got excited is when he didn't listen to God. He listened to everybody, but he forgot that God said, "I'm going to harden Pharaoh's heart and he will not let you go, no, not by a hand-hand until everything works to such a condition that he's got to let you go. I'm going to make him admit to God whether he serves Me or not, he's going to admit to it." Because, "every knees' got to bow and tongue confess." [Phil 2:10-11] And that's what Moses forgot. So when the pressure came down Moses began squawking, "Oh Lord, (he said,) You didn't notice ...?...." "Didn't I tell you?" Cold comfort. Cold comfort, but red hot if you know the things of God. Way back there before Daniel was even thought of being conceived which was hundreds and hundreds years later, the same God had already set the precept. And we're going to talk about it someday, that there cannot be anything to Christianity unless it's in the arena of combat. Not ready to hit it yet. We'll get there. 35. Now, he said: How can we walk around and hold to our creeds and denominations, and not take the Word of God? What will it be for us in that day? How will it happen with us, what when we seen the Glory... Listen, prophet God, God prophet. Word! I don't care what the prophet saw. I don't care what we saw, in the sense of the importance, they are both signs to Word. And when a man anointed to speak through his lips what his mind has no consciousness of that only God can do; that man being the channel, then if he has to repent and know that he is wrong, what about you and me? Now what is the whole purpose? See, watch your principle, Presence of God. What about the Presence of God and the Baptism? What's He given to you for? That you may know all things? ...?... No man need to teach you? You just know instinctively once the Word comes in, you say, "That's it. That's it, that's it." 36. How did I know way back there as a Trinitarian Pentecostal legalist as you bunch folk were when you were back there in the hog slop. And I sat in that good old Baptist seminary, we'll talk about that may be next Sunday or something, whatever it is. We'll get and hear this message here. And I understood the doctrine 'State and Standing'. And in there they said, "Your state maybe that you're like kind of Jonah running away. You may be a person a little bit wrong down here like Samson, got all sort of messed up. But you know, that's your state, what you're in. But once you're standing before God it's perfect in Jesus Christ." And I said, "Halellujah, he spoke it right." Now, I'm saying, "Now just a minute, I'm a legalist. I believe in falling away. But I couldn't believe in falling too far I guess, because I saw 'State and Standing'." See? 37. I'm going to tell you something: if you got the Holy Ghost, there is no denomination that can successfully put you through their centrifuge. Uh, uh. Because before God, you know, let you go all the way there's someplace He's going to stop the motor, and you're going to crawl out on your hands and knees, but you never will become a denomination. There's no way. Just look at your own lives if you've been around religion as long as I have, or anywhere near it, you know in your own lives there was no way you could take a lot of things taught, somehow you stood back and said, "yep, yep, yep, but no. Yep, yep, yep, but no." Yep! [37] Some people will stand off and they make fun of It; (What? Presence.) some laugh at It; (What? Presence.) some call It (Presence) fanaticism; (Which means, they don't like what the prophet says about It.) some call It mental telepathy;(discernment, Heb 4:12) some call It Beelzebub; some call It one thing, some another. The old proverbs, "Fools will walk with hobnailed shoes where Angels fear to tread." That's right."The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God.'" When he sees God manifested so perfectly in His Own Word (not by a creed; but by God's Word), See, that's the thing that really bugs people is when someone can come on the scene like William Branham and walk outside of denominations, that does it. That does it. They hate it. Catholic's hated Lutherans. Lutheran's hated Wesleyans. Wesleyan's hate Pentecost. Pentecost hates us. Well, God loves us. Why, people walk right over It and make fun of It, he's a fool. Because that God is the Word, and God's made Himself plain to them, and he's a fool, the Bible said. What will it be for him when he has to stand in that place? It'll be terrible for that man that day, the ungodly. 38. Now notice: you cannot separate (as I said a while ago) Presence from Word. You can't do it. If there is something that signifies the Presence, there has got to be something in here that defines It, if It is from here. Now, there's a presence of the devil with séance and a lot of other things. Now: [38] Repentant sinners though, don't need have any fear. (They don't have to have any fear.) Oh, no. A sinner that will repent, he knows that there's a bloody Sacrifice waiting and standing in his place. That's what gives him the consolation. I've seen the Glory of God. I've felt His power. I know the touch of His hand. I know the touch of His chastisement. (His training) I know He's God. I know I'm undone, but there's One standing there for me. Amen. There's One Who stands there and says, Father, lay all of his iniquity upon Me, because he stood for Me down on the earth." In other words, representation there, demands a representation here. In other words, you've got to have Christ in your heart. Now, forget it. See, that's another, that's the Presence there, the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah. Then I've walked to the throne of God, boldly, having grace in my heart to know it's not by good works, but by His mercy I'm saved. Not what I can do, what I can join, what I can say; (not that see? Not that,) but it's by His grace that He saved me. Now listen, let's understand this: there's controversy going around, because some people misunderstand what certain preachers are saying about the Blood. Now, I want you to understand Lee Vayle, so there's no misunderstanding. I understand the Word that says, "God never minimizes the aggrandizer." He magnifies. The law says, "Thou shalt not adultery." [Ex 20:14] Now It says, "You shall not look upon a woman to lust after her, in your heart you've already done it." [Mt 5:28] 39. All right, look: there is nothing that God does not aggrandize, magnify and glorify. So, how can anybody say anything about the Blood, except "hallelujah for the Blood?" I can stand here in His Presence and not be destroyed with Sodom and Gomorrah. Stand here and be called His righteous Bride, knowing It's the Blood scattering sins till there be no evidence." "Nothing in my hands I bring, Simply to the Cross I cling, Rock of Ages... shade me Let me hide myself in Thee; " (See?) It's glorified, so if anybody ever comes around you and tells you anything that even draws you one instant away from the glorying power of the Blood of Jesus Christ. See? I have one message, He's getting greater and greater, and more wonderful, more wonderful until I can stand on His Word and not afraid to stand on It. "All other things being sinking sand," the Word of this hour, His Presence, get me out of here! Oh, what are we looking for? Let's rise. Heavenly Father, we're so grateful for Jesus Christ. We're so grateful for You, heavenly Father, here in the Person of the Holy Spirit, absolutely God, wonderful, holy, complete, marvelous, matchless, having showing Yourself, Lord, that no man can doubt. If anybody wants anymore evidence he'd have to be misunderstanding of the Word of God like we were, but not now, knowing that all things are ready, this great end-time One having come like John the Baptist to make ready the prepared Bride, the foreknown Elect now predestinated one. Having all things given to us by the Word of His grace. We don't lack anything to put us in a Rapture. Which means we've got everything for a Resurrection. How we praise Thee, Lord, and magnify Thy great Name, and thank You for the Blood. Nothing but the Blood of Jesus. "What can wash away my sins, what can make me pure within? Nothing but the Blood of Jesus," standing there knowing that now the Holy Ghost can take this body of desecration and abomination, and through the Blood knowing there's a perfect sacrifice molded in You into the transfigured form of Jesus Christ our Lord. O, thank God for the Blood. We praise Thee, Lord, magnify Thy great and Holy Name and worship You. Lord, may we never ever cease from Presence, and the understanding of the power of Thy might, and You're condescension of grace. Grace, love the great forces of the universe of our God. Lord, we pray You'll sanctify us as never before. Churn up those things that ought to be churned up and cut them and throw them out of us, O God, all manner of evil thing from communication, whatsoever anything at all that once had a root sin, O God, let us understand once for all the root is holy, there will be a holy fruit. Bless each one now in divine Presence, to begin realizing that Presence as never before, knowing what lies here is the ultimate of God. And unto Thee the most wonderful glorious Eternal One we give all praise and honor in Jesus' marvelous Name. Amen. 'Take the Name of Jesus with you'. In His Presence # 1 (1584) - Page PAGE 21
