God Identifying Himself # 1 Beaumont, Texas Bro. Lee Vayle - June 16, 1985 ...grateful to know that He had it obviously manifested to us and to the world that when Bro. Branham said, "We'll ask Him to come, we don't know if He will come." Then he'd say, "He is here." We knew that to be factual, because we saw the evidence of It. Lord, we know that even though we don't have a prophet in this hour, the Pillar of Fire stays on, because the prophet said, "It would take the Pillar of Fire to lead us into the Millennium." The same prophet said, "When that Holy Spirit in our midst that set at the head of the Church, the dead are raised and that same One in our midst would incarnate Itself." We thank You, Lord, that we have an understanding of the Word of this hour through manifestation we could not have had before. We're very grateful for It, Lord, to know that we're part of that same revealed Word. We're looking forward to a speedy entrance into Thy Kingdom, Lord, in a fullness that You set forth Your Word to declare that the Kingdom of God is not either meat or drink, nor flesh or blood cannot inherit It, but we'll be changed immortal, and raptured up into the skies. We thank You for this promise, Lord, it supersedes all other promises, and if we have this then we have everything. Now, help us this morning in the Word, Lord, to be brief and yet absolutely to the point, very clear and definite that we might understand as we've perhaps not understood before in Jesus' Name we pray. Amen. You may be seated. 1. Now, I trust I won't take too long this morning on the fact of 'God Identifying Himself', it's kind of a...not a recap, but we're taking it out of the 'God Identified by His Characteristics'. Sometimes I go over a Message, and then I go over It again, and I find sort of what I've been looking for all along and it's just not too easy. We're going to start at paragraph 56. [God is Identified by His Characteristics 03-11-64] [19] See, it's God placing. (You know, you just got to let your mind go on that. First of all) He sends a man, (number two) takes the Word of the age. So, now we're looking at something that God is going to do in this Age. He's got a man, which really is number two, and He's got the Word of that Age. So, number one really is: there's a Word of the Age that God must get to the people. And the next thing He's going to do It by, He's going to do It by the man that He's got predestinated for that hour. But now before you can believe that Word of that age, God identifies Himself in His characteristic (See?), by knowledge, by vision. (All right.) You're talking now about a man for that hour. Talking about God identifying Himself, by God bringing into view what He is, by how He does things, so you know It's God. He told things that would happen, and it happens. All right, now God identifies Himself in His Characteristics, by vision and knowledge, it's God in this man now telling things that would happen. And God said, "When that happens, then you believe he has the interpretation of the Word, because the Word of the Lord comes to that man." 2. Now, remember what you're dealing with now. You're dealing right now with the identification of the Word of the Age, God Himself becoming manifest, and He's doing it by the man of His choice. And that man positively will use a predictive, or a prophetic utterance and God will bring it to pass. And his credentials, he is being identified by being a seer (now, it tells you right there that God is going to use a seer) in the Old Testament (which is a prophet.) [20] Just as plain as it can be, his characteristics are identified, made known, God's character. Now, you say, "How am I going to know God?" The truth about God is that He's going to have a prophet. Now, people don't like this, because they can't understand that at this hour that we need a prophet. They think we've got enough of the Word, we've got a lot of Bibles, we've got this, that and the other thing. And so it's not necessary to have a prophet in order to establish the identity of God, and the identity of the Word. Now they think that is foolish, but we don't. 3. Now, that's how "God dealt in sundry times," Now, that's the Old Testament, and the New Testament can't change it. Now, people think that it's changed, because It said, "God speaking in His Son." Well, just wait till we get down the road a bit. So, now you've got to let your thinking go this morning, because, look, the great tragedy is, in going over these Messages, everyone of us came out of something. And we interpret all the time everything, but Bro. Branham said, "by what we came out of, and what we believe." Now, you've got to stop it. And to do this, you've got to concentrate very, very thoroughly, so there's a continuity in your mind. So you don't get all messed up and what you think the prophet is saying. That's means: you've got to go backward, and sometime you've to go forward. But you've got to be on your toes and very alert, spiritually aroused. Now, that's how "God dealt in sundry times," the Bible says, "in divers manners He spoke to the fathers through the prophets, (or in the prophets) but in this last days through Jesus Christ, His Son, He speaks." Now... 4. All right, in paragraph 56, which we read, God using prophets to identify Himself, let's now take a look at prophets. And to do this we're going to take Deuteronomy 18. Now, he said here: (15) The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him (you) shall hearken; (16) According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not. (17) And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken (what) they have spoken. (18) I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. (19) And (it'll) come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. (20) But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. (21) And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? (Or how are we going to know what He has spoken?) (22) When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. 5. All right, we're going to go to Numbers 12, because we've got to see Numbers 12. Alright, verse 5. (5) And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. (6) And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him (in dreams). (7) (But) my servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. (8) With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even (in view and a shape. In other words I'll come into visible manifestation, in some kind of a shape, or form.) and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were (you) not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? So, there's prophets and prophets. Now, the one that speaks to face to face is a very rare individual, the rest merely had vision. See? Or God will say something to them, maybe in the inner ear, or what, I don't know. 6. Now, with that in mind paragraph 57 again: [20] Now, that's how "God dealt in sundry times," the Bible says, "in divers manners He spoke to the fathers through the prophets, but in this last days through Jesus Christ, His Son, He speaks." (Now, there's the stumbling block.) Now, this paragraph is a stumbling block, because the interpretation and visualization of what Bro. Branham is saying is this: "The man Christ Jesus at the right hand of God, the present High Priest in flesh." That's entirely erroneous. That is not what he is saying. And yet, you cannot help yourself. You're going to snap it. Just like a snapping turtle every time. Because if you don't watch yourself.. I can tell you that. You say, "How do you know?" Because I've got trouble. You've got to take a raw heathen and break him in on this Message. And the best heathen we've got here is Dave and Joe, and the boys. [laughter] They have all the benefits. The rest that sit around here, we had training. They came in with no intellectual conception whatsoever, so to hear the prophet is very easy for them, unless someone messed them up. Because that's the conceptualization of what the minute you mention Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus Christ they're thinking of the body that God used, now at the right hand of the Majesty on High. 7. All right, now this is a stumbling block because the interpretation, and visualization when they hear Bro. Branham say this: "The man Christ Jesus at the right hand of God, the High Priest in flesh." You must not forget, the mind of Bro. Branham was not saying that. But, "If Jesus Christ is risen from the dead and is the same yesterday, today and forever, He will do in the form of the Holy Spirit which He's come back, in what He did in the flesh." Now, that's what he's saying. Unless you can apprehend that, you've got a problem. You won't get off the ground. But that's what he's talking about, because prophets don't deal with Jesus in flesh. Now, what is Jesus? Jehovah Savior. All right, what's another thing? Immanuel, God with us. All right, this is the hour in the dispensation of the Son-ship in a Pillar of Fire. You follow me? This is the dispensation of Son-ship, and the Holy Spirit takes upon Himself the form of the Pillar of Fire, quoting Bro. Branham. And explaining it, so he breaks it down to you. And He's here speaking now as in Numbers 12 with Moses and with Paul, and now with Bro. Branham. Christ's ministry proves William Branham to be Elijah, because that's the only prophet mentioned for this hour. See? That brings us right back to original Pentecost which is not principally man receiving the Holy Ghost, but the Holy Ghost is there to give of Himself. He's got to be there to give of Himself to men who have believed the evidence of His Resurrection. For redemption is by grace through faith. We're right back to original Pentecost; when He came as a Pillar of Fire and divided Himself amongst the people. But you noticed, He did not give revelation. The revelation already preceded It that He was risen from the dead. See? But Paul is a different story. We'll get to it a little later. 8. Notice: the fullness of the Holy Spirit visited the Church. The next step was the same Pillar of Fire God in Son-ship. And on the road to Damascus He smote Paul down, and Paul said, "Who art Thou Lord?" He said, "I'm Jesus." "Oh, where's your nail prints?" Now you see, this explodes the mind, because nobody thinks this way except a prophet. So therefore, when you're talking now of this dispensation you must know what you're talking about, what you're thinking about, and give back to God with the literal interpretation and understanding, or you've got problems. Bro. Branham spoke of that when he said, "Son of man, Son of God, Son of man, then Son of David." (Four.) And he said, "You've got to give back to God what He wants to hear. The correct Word." Now of course, everybody said, "Well, Sis. Hattie Wright, (Sis. Mosher) she gave the right word back." Now they say Fred Barker's going to give the right word back sometime." So, everybody gets their thoughts on mystical things. Get your thoughts off mystical things, it's out in plain view. He said, "Little children, it's in plain view." The shew-bread that you're feeding on, the veil's been rent. The Mighty God has been revealed. What Mighty God? Elohim, who changes His form and His mask. So, the next step was the same Pillar of Fire God in Son-ship. "I'm Jesus whom you persecute." Now, that is Alpha. See? 9. Now, in these last days of Hebrews 12. Let's go back again to Hebrews 12. Bro. Branham used It. Now, verse 25. (25) See that (you) refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that (is) from heaven: The speaking on earth has been done with. Now, it's the speaking from heaven. What came down from heaven? Jesus in the form of the Holy Spirit. See? (26) (But) whose voice then shook the earth: (earthquakes and things,) but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. (27) And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, (anything that's visible in creation will be shook plumb right down. You better believe it.) that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. What's going to remain? The only thing that God breathed upon and brought back by restoration to what the form He wanted it. This whole system is going to shake down. But God's system won't shake down. His order won't shake down, because He's redeemed it. (28) Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, (see? Now establishes the kingdom,) let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: (29) For our God is a consuming fire. (Everything that gets in the way gets burnt up. All right.) Now, at the last day, the fullness of the Holy Spirit visits the church again. Now, Bro. Branham said, I've got a quote on it, he said: [Desperations 09-01-63] [10] Now, the entire Holy Spirit visits the church making God in human flesh as He did before Sodom, Now, what's God in human flesh? Is when the words of a man could not possibly do what the words in that man uttered. It takes God. So, when you find God using a prophet and speaks those words and God brings It to pass, that's God in human flesh. Because God is in the prophet. Now, people again don't want to believe that. They think it's presuming. Well, I'm sorry for their presumption, but clear your minds of that nonsense. Get rid of it. Takes some kind of a burning brush from God. Wires, emery wheels or something. wire wheel or emery brush, or something. Emery wheel, ask the Holy Ghost to burn all the dross out of your hearts and minds. That's the thing to do. That's what I've got to do daily. 10. [God is Identified by His Characteristics 03-11-64] [20] Now, Jesus said, in John 10:37, "If I do not the works of My Father, don't believe Me." Nobody else did them. Nobody else did them. A prophet could come the closest, because he had a portion, a role to play. But these works were different, because it was a different Word for the hour. The fullness of God and the full revelation. The role was God Himself in a human being, but It was God, fullness of God. See, they said, "You're a Man, and making Yourself God." He said, "If I do not the works of My Father, then believe Me not."-- "John was a bright and shining light. You like to walk in his light for a season. Now, John said, 'I must go out; He must increase.'" He was the Light of the world, (that's Jesus was,) because He was the a-vindicated, identified Word made flesh. So He was God with us. (That's Immanuel.) Now, He was God with us Immanuel, that's Hebrews 13:8. Now, Bro. Branham placed that in Genesis, Abraham and Sarah. This is a visitation of God before the fire fell and the Promised Son in flesh came into view. See? Now, after the visitation came the ability to receive the promise in the Son Himself. Before the visitation was impossible. Now, there's another thing people get mixed up, the Appearing and the Coming. The Coming is three-fold. He came once in flesh. He will come immortal up there. The third time come back to earth. This is the Appearing. The Coming is mortal flesh. This Coming is Appearing, the revealing of Himself. The entire Holy Spirit visits the Church, making God in human flesh as He did before Sodom. See? They said, "You're a man." But It was God with us. The prophets were God with them. (Didn't say, "God of the prophets." Said, "prophets made God with the people." See? You got a separation there though, same time. Identification.) You say, "I think maybe God left when the prophet left." 11. The prophet said, "He must increase, and I must decrease." So God couldn't have gone. See? Who was on the scene when John was there? Who appeared? Jesus appeared on the scene. That was the coming, that type. Who increased? Jesus increased. Did He cease increasing? By no means. By no means. The prophets were God with them. Jesus said so. He said, "If you call them who the Word of God come to, 'gods,' how can you condemn Me when I say I'm the Son of God?" See? [21] So where the Word (of God) has been spoken by God is vindicated, then that is God making Himself known by His characteristic, fulfilling His Word. It needs no interpretation. It's already interpreted Itself, proves what It is. Now, this is the plea of course where Bro. Branham's own ministry to the people, to recognize what's going on. That's why he said, "If you only knew who I was..." (we know two cases where he said it: once in Florida and I forget the other tape now,) ...you'd all be healed." So therefore, recognition by appearance is a very tremendous thing. In other words, Abraham saw three men come...he said, "There's God." How could he pick Him out? See? He had a spiritual eye. He was one with the Word. Abraham was the Word for that hour. Now, if the Word can't tell the Word, then John the Baptist was all haywire. He just guessed. See, the Word comes to the Word. Word comes to the prophet. 12. All right: Just the same as He said, "Let there be light" there was light; you don't have to say, "Well, what did that mean?" It means just... There it is; that proves it. It's already come to pass. (See? All right,) Now, Jesus said that, "If I do not the works of My Father," or other words, "if I don't have the characteristic (the identifying characteristic) of My Father, don't believe it. They identify My character, (that tells what It is by observation what It does.) They identify My character Who I am. If you can't believe Me, then believe the identification God has given. If My character doesn't identify My position, then don't believe My claims." See? (You get it.) How many understands it? Raise your hand. See? "If My character (that is what it's supposed to do and does in being, my character) does not identify Who I claim to be, If you can't believe Me, (what I'm saying) why, just believe the identification (that's the works, the manifestation...) And then you've got to say, "Well, what is it?" "Well, I believe that's God." Well, hallelujah, you're close to the kingdom. How much do you believe? "Why, I think that's the devil." You just lost out. You blasphemed. I don't mean to make light of this unless I took the two extremes. See, it's either God or the devil. Some people pass by and say, "I don't know." They're cunning like the Pharisees. They're like the fox. They try to spring the trap and not get into it themselves. All right, the identification of that characteristic, that character. 13. Isaiah 61: (1) The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; (2) To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD... What's for today? Well, I think It's over here in Isaiah 35: (1) The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. (It's going to blossom very shortly, the Millennium.) (2) It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God. (3) Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. (Now, that's Hebrews 12, that's for this hour.) (4) Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. (Well, that's this hour.) Now, God can't act apart from His Word. He had to legally come and declare through the judgeship by the prophet, and there's your visible manifestation that we were exempted from the law. And we were now completely loosed. (5) Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 14. Do you know that Bro. Branham did perhaps more of that then the history ever known, deaf and dumb and never missed a trick? You folk never saw him in the old days. He'd stand right there and if there'd be a dumb spirit in the boy, and Bro. Branham wouldn't flick his fingers to see the dumb spirit was out. He said, "In the Name of Jesus Christ I adjure you, 'come out of that boy'." He said, "It didn't move." He said, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, Satan, I adjure you come out of that boy." He said, "It didn't move." Then he'd go 'snap, snap'. He said, "He'll come this time." The boy looked around like this. Not a case missed. Deaf people dumb, and he didn't have to make an experiment, he knew, or not in that category. We think we're Cadillac's, we're mostly Packard's, obsolete. They're good for their day, but they're skunked out. (6) Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break (forth), and streams in the desert. (7) And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. (8) And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; (Now, Bro. Branham preached on that.) He told about the woman with the high heels slippers couldn't make it. You know, some of you ladies (you know) you're getting up to the place you've got to watch yourself a little more carefully then you're doing. You see, I don't harp on here, you go down on the ministry, because I don't ride herd on anybody. We're past the age of worrying, conforming to little things like (you know,) the prophet said. Either you believe the prophet, or you don't believe the prophet. Don't, you can't come here and say, "Well, I believe Bro. Vayle is teaching what the prophet said." There's no way you can believe it, because you don't conform with the Word of God says. What the prophet said, the little things. Little things that stumbling you. Now the men are just a bad too. Well, I tell you, this is the hour to clean up and start getting examining our souls. It's going to be difficult. 15. I want to tell you, that that thing in the flesh is stubborn as old-get-out. You didn't get that stubbornness from God, you got it plumb from the devil. You got a tool in there that works from hell, not for the kingdom of God. I tell you, I know what I'm talking about, because I've been going through months of it, and I still waiver. Because there's things in life you've got to lick. If you don't lick them, but you better find out how with the strength of God. Now, there's a thin line down the middle of that road. See? (8) And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; (Now, there's two ways you can go. But there's one way you got to go if you're going to make the kingdom.) the unclean shall not pass over it; (it'll) be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. You can be as simple as a (you know) as a befuddled goat, we're goatish, you can make it. Because the Word of God is very simple the prophet brought. And if all boils down, the One that started redemption, God Himself wouldn't leave redemption to anybody but Himself. Came right down to Eden, and applied the blood of an animal, what then that same God would do? Would come down and redeem us, looking back on Jesus then come here and finish it. You tell me I'm off the Word of God, then Bro. Branham's a liar, because he said it. Alpha is Omega. 16. Who could God trust redemption to? Who could He trust the Book to? Where's he's redeemed by Blood, it's right back in the hands of God. Well, you see, we're right in this end-time brother/sister. (9) No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed (of the Lord) shall walk there: (10) And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs, everlasting joy upon their heads: (you sung about that) they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Now, they were in that period right now brother/sister, because there's no dumb up there, and there's no special road to travel up there in Zion. You don't have to worry about anything bothering you. because there's nothing there to bother you. Because God doesn't bother anything, He just helps everybody. We're talking about Zion, we're coming to It. When you talk about Zion, that's New Jerusalem, Bro. Branham said so. Now, that's just plain fact. See? 17. All right: [22] John 14:12, "He that believeth," Jesus said, "on Me, the works that I do shall he do also." Now, "He that believeth on Me (a true believer)... What's a true believer? Were there any true believers here at the time of Bro. Branham? Sure. But they were unenlightened. Just the same as the time of Elijah. The same as John the Baptist. But he has an unidentified mark of being the one true believer amongst all of them, because he was right on target, the rest weren't. The rest were under Ahab religion where what really means. What's this, what's that? See? John the Baptist came. That should have set them straight, but didn't set them straight. He came to give the ignorant, that's those poor believers that didn't understand, the revelation. That's what It says here in Luke 1:17. (17) And he shall go before (the Lord God of Israel) in spirit and power of (Elijah), to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, (even) the disobedient to the wisdom of the just... That means, a person that's disobedient by means of ignorance, and there's a special sacrifice for the ignorant. See, you got something right here now. You can look at it and see, "Well, I wonder which way it goes? You're ignorant, you don't know. You really honestly don't know. But end up bringing it into view and then you do know. Now, your decision comes up "where are you going?" Now, a true believer. "He that believeth on Me, shall be identified by My characteristic, the works." Now, that's what He did. (Now notice, that's what He did.) "If I don't do the Father's works, then don't believe Me." And the Father spoke to the prophets, and that was their characteristic, identification. (They spoke and God did it.) So was it with Jesus. And promised it to him that believeth, "My characteristics shall do in him just as it did in Me... But if I do the works, you can't believe Me, then believe the works, because it's spoken of; it must be." 18. All right, now Bro. Branham is not talking about anybody but prophets and God. He's not talking about you and me, the thematic structure, here is God in prophets, so that God will in the prophets, identifying Himself to the people, so they'll believe what the prophet says. Now, people will want to run and say, "Well, he that believeth on me do all the works." Oh, hogwash! I want to see somebody take and break dead loaves and dead fish and produce something. See? You're talking about a very special individual here. See, Bro. Branham had power over the inanimate. He didn't divide loaves and fish to my knowledge, but it could have been done, I don't know. The people want to bend spoons, everything else by foreign power. What did Bro. Branham say in the room with the little girl that had the bad appendix. He said, "Look, (he said,) you can't get out of here, but (he said,) you say you've got all faith." He said, "You don't have it, but you will. Now, (he said,) "I'm going to make that chandelier cord go to the right, (he said,) "clock wise, then counter clock wise." She jumped out of bed whole. 19. Now look, I'm going to tell you, there's ministries and ministries brother/sister, and this is where Pentecostal's is all confused where you and I can get confused. Because the spirit of Pentecost is Laodicea, and it's the predominate spirit. It's not Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, it's Pentecostal. Even the Catholic's have taken it. They've taken it as a way out. It's not a way out, it's a way down, because they're way off the Word. When you can confess to a priest, and make the pope the vicar of Jesus Christ by the vote of the Cardinal's college, and speak in tongues and call it God, there's something wrong with you. You've fizzled. I'm sorry, I can't help that. That's the truth. Nothing against the Catholic people, it's against the Catholic church, the organization. It's that church that God was speaking of in chapter 2 and 3 of the Book of Revelation ...?... Bro. Branham was. Now, the Father spoke through the prophets and that was their characteristic, identification."My characteristics shall do in him just as it did in Me... 20. All right, now just a minute, if he's talking about prophets and said, just as it did in Me, and he's talking about the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ, God made flesh, he's looking back to that ministry two thousand years ago. Not something beyond two thousand years, but two thousand years ago. Got to read every word and get it just right. "If I do the works of My Father..." Now, Bro. Branham said that, he said: But if I do the works, you can't believe Me, believe the works, because it's spoken of; it must be." He said, "Search the Scriptures, for in Them you think you have Eternal Life, and They are They that tell you Who I am." (Same thing going on.) That was Jesus (See?), God manifested, (Then Jesus is God manifested under any condition, scriptural, wherein dealing in the age. But only come by a prophet. "God in sundry times spake by the prophets," I'll read it again: That was Jesus (See?), God manifested showing Himself. "They testify Who I am." That makes Hebrews 1:1 now, "God in sundry times spake by the prophets," Doesn't speak by you and me, speaks by the prophets. "Behold, I send you prophets, wise men and scribes." [Mt 23:34] The prophet to whom the Word of God comes, delivers It. The wise men breaks It down like a teacher. The scribe has no ability except to just say, "Here It is, this is the Word, read It," or something quote, or something. And he has no business trying beyond that either. Bro. Branham has a word against that. God spoke by the prophets then, through His Son now. (Through His Son now.) Nobody wants to put the 'now' on there, because they've got Jesus up there and you can't get to Him unless He comes down in a Rapture and we meet Him up there in the heavens. That's scriptural. You go by prayer, but this is 'now'. Son-ship and the Pillar of Fire. Who are You Pillar of Fire? I'm Jesus. He hasn't changed, because the hour is not over. You see, "I'm Jesus," spoke of the Son-ship. The unchangeable God, the same characteristic, "The works that I do, shall you do." God's known by His identified characteristic. That's how you know. (And God is the Holy Spirit, right? Remember, the Word's got to match the works, and the works got to match the Word.) You say, "Well, I tell you this; we see this, we do this, and we do." And that's not what I'm talking about. 21. Notice: now, let's keep that in mind. You say, "Well, I do this; we sing this, we do this, and we do." That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the Word, not this. Logos, I'm talking about Logos made manifest and identifying this life. What? Logos Life. The Word made flesh, I'm identifying It. It's the same life. The Life that was down there in an angel, looked like a man in Abraham's time. The Life that was there in Michael that the devil fought, because he wanted a better kingdom than Michael. God manifested, Pillar of Fire. [23] I'm talking about the Word made manifest and identifying this Life, the characteristics of the promised Word for the age. (We read in Isaiah 35. See? And this is Matthew 12, where He appears to the Gentiles.) The Pharisees knew that Bible as good as anybody, better than any of us clergymen know ours today. They had to live by It. Their great-great- grandfather were priests. They studied It, day and night they failed to see that identified Word. Today, Luther said, "When you believe, you've got It." Methodist say, "When you shout, you got It." The Pentecostal said, "When you spoke in tongues, you had It." What's It? Paragraph 66. I'm talking about the Word. Logos made manifest identifying this Life. Not William Branham's life. God Life. Zoe, Spirit. See? We find all that wrong. (What? Just believing It, shouting It, tongue-si-ing It, everything else.) Some said, "The fruit of the Spirit's got It." (No!) And it's wrong. The only evidence is, is when the a-vindication, when God Himself identifies Himself in the promised Word of the hour. There it is. 22. Now, he tells you flat, and he's not talking about you being born again, he's talking about that life that's laid out here that's amongst you in this hour. It's identified Himself, that It is God that's visited again. The whole...the entire Spirit visits the Church. And visitors that visit. You come to my house and shack up there and say, "I'm just going to live here." Oh, that ain't no visit buddy, your visit is going to be cut short. Can't people understand words? "Well, Bro. Branham didn't mean it?" Then why did he preach? Do you realize what ...?... saying here? God can take an ignorant man and put His Words in that man's mouth. So don't try to put It down to education. Hogwash! I'm got plenty of education, I talk horrible. That I've got the ability to speak almost perfectly. My minds not good enough to do it anymore, but one time I could in a very extendable vocabulary. Just a little...not too bad, it's pretty lousy what it used to be. The only evidence is that you know He's here if He does the works, and this is the Appearing, because He's in a form of a Pillar of Fire. At the advent, He's in a human body again glorified immortal. Now, that's the understanding I've got. I'm going to keep it. I'm teaching you, and you do what you want with it. See? 23. God identifying Himself by the prophets, not by the believers. That's Latter Rain. "We've all got a part, we're all Elijah." Hogwash, you're all Elijah. Fap! More like old Samson out there messing around. Who had any more fruits of the Spirit those kind old priests, (now, hitting the other groups see?) circumcised children, blessed them, everything else? [24] And here this guy Jesus (That's good language, don't you feel bad about it, you see?) was, come around, kicked over their sacrifice blocks, looked upon them with anger, beat them out, run them out, no identification nothing. The Scripture is His identification. That's Elijah, Matthew 12. The Elijah of this hour is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. God, not man, but it'll come through a prophet. What's the identification? The hour in which we live. It all lines up. If you're looking for more Sodom and Gomorrah, you've got more guts than I got. I want to get out of here before it gets worse. He had no fellowship card; He belonged to no organization. But God spoke of Him; that was His identification. Now, God just didn't speak of Him, that would be no identification, God brought it to pass. Because when God says a thing, It's got to come into view. "Let there be light." There it was. A virgin shall conceive and bare a child. Absolutely, there's a Son. His Name is Immanuel, God came right into Him. That doesn't need interpretation. Glad someone's got a... well certainly somebody always comes behind to explain it, because we're just too dense and too dumb spiritually speaking, that's right. 24. Okay, now notice, now we find out the characteristics, that is: the performed and thereby identifying characteristic you see. (Now just a minute, I've got to go back over this:) That's the genuine identification of God in any hour, is His identification. (In other words, you identify God, it's got to be what God's identification's are, not what you say they are, what you think. That's what it is, the Scriptures that's promised made identified by the characteristic of the promise which is God, and God is the Word. And the characteristic of that promise being identified, (by whom? You!) It's identified and you understand the identification. And you say, "That's God." Now before you didn't know. I keep telling you, when Bro. Branham was in Canada, my wife (you know) came to say, "What do you think of this man, there's a man named Branham and he tells what diseases people have?" "Well," I said, "so what?" I said, "I've seen a spiritist do it." I didn't say it was a spiritist doing it. I didn't know what's going on. When I saw the man I said, "That's God." That settled it. When I had my chance to make or break back into heathenism under the teaching of the Rapture, when I said, "Well, I've heard you say many peculiar things brother in your day, but my Lord, this is taking it too far when you say, 'the Shout is the Message'." I suddenly said to myself, "but when was he ever wrong?" I said, "The Shout's the Message." That took care of it. 25. You see, you've got that time to identify, so therefore he says here: And the characteristic of that promise being identified, that makes the believer. If you cannot see God in this hour visibly through the prophetic demonstration of the characteristics of God and the Word being manifested, and the Word being preached, three pulls, you're not a believer. Now, you believe something, you're not a believer. You're not a true believer, something's wrong somewhere. See? Now, if you're a heathen at that time, but you're Seed. You'll say, "This is It, amen, I've been looking for This all my life, couldn't find It." No wonder you couldn't find It, It wasn't for you at that time. And you receive It, and you get baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost is bound to come in. See, people want to put the Holy Ghost way down there somewhere. "Repent, and be baptized everyone of you, you shall receive." [Acts 2:38] And they did, and they do. Now, you got it reversed. Shout, Voice, Trumpet. Back there in Acts 2:38 you did two things. Today you do one thing. Back there God did one thing. Today God does two things. You just believe the Message, He'll raise the dead and take you up. You had to believe two things before. Get into it, believe and get baptized. Now, it's baptism right there is a stumbling block. The Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost is Jesus Lord. Actually it boils right down to one thing, Jesus, Jehovah Savior, Lord Jesus Christ, lays the whole thing out in front of you. You see, God does everything in three's. So, He's Lord Jesus Christ. You get baptized in His Name. When you think He isn't, you'll find out. He's Lord Jesus Christ, you bet He is. "God hath made this same one that you've crucified, He raised up and made Him both Lord and Christ." [Acts 2:36] And you get God in that One, you got Lord Jesus Christ the Almighty God. How are you going to get... look, come on...you got to see where the Word's being placed. 26. Now: ... now we find out, the characteristics identify Him. As He said, "If it doesn't do it, then don't believe Me." Now, Jesus spoke that it would identify Him. Now remember that in these days, (and he's right back to) Hebrews 1: again: "God in sundry times and divers manners, spoke to the fathers through the prophets. In this last day has spoke to us through His Son, Jesus Christ." See? [25] Identification of God Himself manifested in the same manner as He did in foretime, using His same characteristic. Amen. Notice Hebrews 13:8 says He's the same yesterday (sundry times), today, and forever the same. The same manner, His same way, His same characteristic, everything is the same. God, the unchangeable God can no more get away from that characteristic than He get away from His commandments. (He's talking about the Son, Jesus Christ. God in the form of the Pillar of Fire, not human flesh.) That's what He is, He is the Word. He's the Word for the hour. He's the Word when He created the world; that was the Word. When He created man, that was the Word, His attributes. When He created Christ, that was God Immanuel. Absolutely. When He comes down here in a Pillar of Fire, that's still God Immanuel, God with us. See? Appearing. Oh, everybody understands 'Appearing', sure they do. "That's when you get caught in a Rapture." Hogwash! That's down here. See, the Appearing is going on. Bro. Branham said, "They can't differentiate." And they don't want to differentiate. I'm using my battle-club of words to get your minds flattened out to where you can get some new wrinkles in them. We all got the wrong wrinkles. And you don't necessarily get rid of the...according to habits you don't get rid of the old wrinkles as much as you put new wrinkles in there. I'd just as soon get rid of...shuck to this stuff I've got supposed to be the Word of God. See. So, let's find out brother/sister, it's no time to fool around with this. So, I tell you, the devil will use every trick in the book to try to get you off an understanding about what Bro. Branham taught. I bent over backwards, he almost robbed my mind to what I believe. You stick with your faith. If something else comes along you think is better, then go ahead and take it, be my guest. The next time around I'll pay your bus fare...whether you go or not. We've got plenty of money here to get you out of the country. Do what you want. See, it's pretty hard to stick around me. You can if you want, that'd be alright, but wouldn't do you much good. Because, see, this nails her down. This is what the prophet was saying as far as I'm concerned, analyzing these words looking at it. You say, "You shouldn't analyze words?" Who said I shouldn't analyze words? Don't worry about it. We're going to quit right now. Look at the tree men at Abraham's tent door. That shows the picture right there that Bro. Branham took us right back... (and that's forty five minutes, that's enough for this day. Okay let's bow our heads in prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank You in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who loved mercy and goodness to us, Lord. We don't want to be abrupt and harsh to anybody, think we know anything, Lord, that is not the point of this message this morning. What is, O God, to actually bring out a point, to belabor a point if necessary that This was the One Who came down. This was the One the Word descended by the prophet's spirit, and It was the One Who did not descend by the prophet's spirit the Logos Himself as far as we know He came down. "The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a Shout." That's right, the Lord Himself, descending. And Bro. Branham categorically, Your servant said, "Jesus does all three in descending." So therefore, It is the Lord Jesus. And we know the Lord Jesus cannot do that in the flesh. It is absolutely the same One as Bro. Branham said, met Paul on the Damascus Road. He said, "Just think, how wonderful the same Pillar of Fire that gave the Word to Paul, is here now revealing It." It would be the same One then that gave the Word to John, bringing It right out in our evidence. And John's vision was proved, because here we saw the Clouds form the Judge. What more do we want, Lord? There's no way we can go one way or the other. We are convinced, absolutely sure that this is the Word of Almighty God, Lord, forgive us for saying this, but Whoever is out there that William Branham was in contact with and spoke of, and put Him right back to this Bible, we believe that You are That One. We believe that You are the True God, living God, and You have manifested Yourself. And where would we go, because if we have found the climax, the apex, that we have found the Absolute, then why would we look for anything else, except we look to find more wonderful embellishments and fruits, and wonderment in that One Who is the pinnacle. So, Father God, we thank You for this now and put our whole trust in You. We hope we do, we're trying to do it, Lord, put our whole trust in You, in Jesus' Name we pray. Amen. 'The Lord bless you'.
