Destroyed by Wisdom (Mysteries of Iniquity) Bro. Lee Vayle - July 5, 1971 Let's bow our heads for prayer. Heavenly Father, we're so glad that You've allowed us to come together again to worship and in Thy Presence, Lord, for we know Whom we have believed and are able to keep that which is committed against that day. We know our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' Blood and righteousness. We know, Lord, we not only have a sure foundation, but everything about Thee is sure, Lord. One day we're going to meet You face to face in the inevitable glory, Lord, and we believe that we're going to hear Your Words to us, "well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of Thy Lord." We pray, Lord, now that every heart be brought into complete captivity to Thee, O God, to Thy glory, Lord, and to Thy rejoicing, into everything we might think of and do from now on might be the praise, the glory of Thy grace. Lord, whatever the needs are, we pray that you'll answer at this time. That there be someone sick among us, there might be someone with a great need at this moment. We pray, Lord, that by Jesus Christ they shall receive the help that we have need of at this hour. And now, Lord, as we look to Your Word, may the people realize that It is Your Word, 'Thus Saith the Lord', not what man has to say, but what the Word says is what counts. But, Lord, we know that's our start, we have to know what You say to us, and then we know we can either have faith or not have faith, depending how we're going to direct our spirits, so we have a free moral agency down deep in there; and we can do what we want with it. But tonight, Lord, we know we here, because we want to do the right thing. And if there only be one person here, Lord, not one, young or old, whatever the position is, I believe every single one wants that spirit within them to reach out and say yes to Jesus tonight. To admit to that Word, to revere that Word and bow to It. So therefore, Lord, we're trusting that the Word to go forth exactly as You would have It to go forth. And It shall be, Lord, for Your glory and for the edification of Your Saints, we'll be careful to give You the praise in Jesus' Name. Amen. The Lord bless you, you may be seated. 1. Now, I know that rain up there is making so much noise that I suppose I'll be afraid that you can't hear, but I know you can, because the volume is coming back to me, so I just try to keep aware of that, and not get myself out of balance. You know, that's how it is in life, we see a little tide come in sometime and we're afraid there's too much water, and really there's not. You know the Bible says, "The righteousness man shall fall seven times, but the Lord will raise him up." [Prov 24:16] One of the best Bible students never knew that was in the Bible. He said, "Where is that found?" I think it's in Proverbs, I'm sure it is somewhere in there. I don't know what chapter and verse, but he was amazed. You know that's right. We do fall, but the Lord does raise us up. 2. Now, last night I brought out points to you the messages on trying to make them different to bring you a variety. And you must remember, I'm not a pastor. I know camp meetings are a great place to have a real time with the moving of the Spirit in a worshipful way. And that's good, I'm not against it, I'm all for it. And I wish every moment would be that way. But, as a pastor you can bring out those thoughts on the Lord Jesus Christ that caused people to reverence Him more, and give such a nice spirit of adoration. But you know, when it comes to teaching, it's not always… you're not always able to do that. Because you must stick to your subject and bring out what God has said upon that very subject. But, you can worship the Lord with it, because your faith is being built up. Because you know, more and more what the Word says. And the more and more you know that the Word says, and the more and more, than you believe it, because your understanding is opened, (see?) and face the revelation then the greater is your faith. And then of course sometimes there's things must be said that seem a little cutting. I really don't mean it that way. And what it is, is not anybody in particular I think of, but I think of what is done… I particularly done, and should not be done amongst us. 3. I was speaking last night about dreams. Well, someone might think well Bro. Vayle is against dreams. Well, I sure am, if they're not in order. I got to be. Because the prophet said, "Unless there's a prophet in the land to interpret your dreams, your dream must be absolutely come to pass verbatim, or as they were seen." Now, I know right away you say, "Well, I think I've got something." Now look, you ain't got nothing, because the prophet said different. Now, I don't want to hurt your feelings. You say, "Bro. Vayle you don't have any love." It's because I love you I talk to this way. If the prophet said it, I believe it. He had, 'Thus Saith the Lord'. Now, what kind of a God do you worship? Isn't He holy and righteous and jealous and all alone? Didn't He flaunt His might before Israel and said, "With whom did I take counsel? Where were you when I laid the foundation beneath… said to Job? Listen, any god that would let any man say, 'Thus Saith the Lord' and get away with deceit, he couldn't be God. Forget it. Right? This man has 'Thus Saith the Lord'. God speaking through lips of clay. The Holy Ghost by the mouth of David knows the Holy Ghost by the mouth of William Branham said it, "Your dreams must be absolutely coming to pass the way you saw them." 4. I want to illustrate it, quite some time back now I had a dream that I knew it was from the Lord. I told my wife that a certain family that I loved deeply would turn against me. But, I said, "Don't worry they are going to turn back." They turned against us. You talk about a…well, you folk got northern lights up here. And we were on the northern ice, we were on the icecap. We were in an igloo without much protection. But it didn't bother me, I said, "They'll swing back." They did. Nothing was explained, they found they were wrong. The dream came to pass exactly as I saw it. Now, I had other dreams, but I'm not a spiritual dreamer. No, no, no, no, no, no, so don't say, "Bro. Vayle have a dream with me." So, it wouldn't surprise what I might dream up for you." [laughter] No, no, no spiritual dreamers. But, I had dreams that I knew had something to them. But because they wouldn't come to pass exactly as I saw them, I can't say I've got to keep my mouth shut. The talking of these dreams that you think that you have from God, but you don't know, but you'll tell somebody. Then you'll sit back maybe, and that person go out and tell it. Then there's where the mischief is. No, no…listen to the prophet. Right? 5. Remember, Bro. Branham said about Pentecostal babies? He wasn’t running down Pentecostals. What was it about St. Martin he said they had that vision or something? In it was that great beautiful personage and he had crowns on and he said, "Martin, don't you recognize me?? He said, "I'm your lord and savior Jesus Christ." And Martin kind of scratched his head didn't say a word. He said, "Martin, don't you recognize me having worshipped me all this time? I'm your lord and savior Jesus Christ, he still sat there." And he said, "Martin worship me. And Martin said, "Get thee behind me Satan, the Bible says, 'we'll crown Him when we get there, but you're wearing all your crowns now'." And the devil disappeared. And I said, "Boy would that be Pentecostal bait." Well, you know that's nothing to what Peter said. Peter said that he was with the Lord in the Mount of Transfiguration when the Voice from excellent glory said, "This is My beloved Son, hear Him." As he said, "We've got a more, sure word of prophecy then even that mighty earth staggering vision." Get back to the Word. Because if you thought I was kind of a little cutting last night, my nature is to be a little bit rough on certain things, so don't try to be rough on people. So, I hope you understand that. It's all said for a purpose in that little message last night on little extra taste, a little warning. 6. Now, tonight I'm going to hit a little teaching message on the 'Mysteries of God'. But, I'm not going to dwell on the mysteries of God tonight, just tell you about them, and tomorrow morning unless I tell you about, 'The Mysteries of Iniquity'. And this will be setting the stage for the message 'The Mystery of Iniquity'. And then I don't think I'll take anymore services on mysteries. I could preach on the mystery of the Resurrection, Rapture and so on. But, we'll let that be I think at this time, because we have some other subjects, and I want to be as diversified as I can. So, if you have your Bibles with you, you'll need them if you want to read with me. But you really won't need them for the split second, (this split second) and I'm just going to read from the Book of Revelation 10: Remember, chapter 10, is 3 and 7. Number God, three, seven is conclusion, and perfection. 7. Now, (1) And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: At the same time, standing on the earth in verse 7, there is another one who is a prophet. (7) …in the days of the voice of the seventh (Church Age messenger), There is only one seventh messenger mentioned in the Bible and that's over in Revelation 3:14, and he's called a messenger to the church which is in Laodicea. Now, It says, (7) …in the days of the voice of (that) seventh (Church Age messenger), when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as (God) hath declared (has announced the Good News of the Gospel) to his servants the prophets. The word 'finish' is consummated and perfected. In other words, it's absolutely all over, and is brought to a perfect…to a perfection. In other words, there won't be one thing missing, there won't be one thing out of order. And Bro. Branham always said concerning this verse: "That in the end time the Seventh Church Age messenger would bring out all the mysteries of Almighty God." So, I say with him, the Bible says here that the mysteries of God will be finished at the end time. They will be revealed by the Seventh Church Age messenger. 8. Now, some of these mysteries are mentioned in the Bible. First of all, we turn to the Book of 1 Timothy 3:16 (16) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, (and) received up into glory. And then over in 2 Thessalonians 2:7, without reading It, you'll recall that is the mystery of iniquity. "The mystery of iniquity doth already work." And then over here in the Book of Romans 11:25, Paul speaking says: (25) For I would not, brethren, that (you to) be ignorant of this mystery, lest (you) should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. There is another mystery in the Word of Almighty God. And then in the Book of Revelation 17:5 (5) And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And then over in 1 Corinthians 15:51, Paul speaking on the mystery of the Rapture. (51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, we shall all be changed, (52) In a moment, … at the last trump… (and so on.) Now, these as you know are only a few Scriptures that deal with mysteries that are named in the Bible. There are many more of them. 9. Now, tonight we're going to consider exactly what a mystery is. Because there is no point continuing if we don't know what a mystery is. And I would not be surprised the majority of you have not followed through the subject and do not really understand exactly what a mystery is. The very Word itself, mystery, bears down upon it until we're a little bit afraid that it's too over-whelming for us to ever understand. Now, first of all a mystery is certainly not something about which we can know nothing, or there'd be no point in even mentioning it. Now, it cannot be something about which you can know nothing. You've got to feel or know something about it. Otherwise it wouldn't be in the Bible, because the Bible says, "The secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but those things that are revealed unto us belong unto us." [Deut 29:29] Certainly, it's in the Bible, it's been revealed in mystery, so there's something that we can know about them. So, we ought to find out what we can know about mysteries. Now, not only is that so, but neither can we be so mysterious that they cannot be comprehended or understood. Now, that's true. Many people look at a mystery they say, "Well, I tell you, every time that I see that word 'mystery' in the Bible, I think there is something so mysterious I'll never be able to get it, I'll never understand it, so I'll just sort of pass it by, I'll just skip it by, and maybe someday some smart person come by and tell me about it." Now listen, Bro. Branham told us Revelation 10:7, the mysteries of God should all be revealed at the time of the Seventh Church Age messenger. So therefore, these mysteries can be known, and further more must be known. Right? All right. 10. Now, Paul explain the mystery very thoroughly. So, we'll go to Romans 16:25, all right: (25) Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, … Remember how he spoke of the present truth the first night? Now that word 'steadfast' established? How is it going to be done? By a revelation. See, God. (25) Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, … Notice to what Paul called It? My Gospel. My…nobody gets hurt about that, do they? Oh my, they just love to talk about their sweet Paul. Well, I love to talk their sweet William Branham. I never new Paul. Branham's Message. Ever hear Branham's Message? I'd like to take time to tell you, but I don't dare, because we're on a subject tonight and I've got to stick with it. But Branham, William Branham prophet of God has a Message. Amen. Now: (25) …according to my gospel, (said Paul) and (even) the preaching of Jesus Christ, … That word 'and' in the Greek is translated 'kai', and many times to be translated 'even'. (25) …(even) the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 11. Now, I'm going to read a very extended translation to literalize this Scripture: "Now, to one who is the power to establish you according to my Gospel. Even the proclamation concerning Jesus Christ according to the uncovering of the mystery which during the eternal time has been kept in silence, but now has been made known." (See?) Something which was vague, a mystery, something hard to be understood. But Paul said, "It's now been made known through prophetic writing according to the mandate of the Eternal God. God made a command that these mysteries, these unknown things, these great things in the Word were going to be revealed unto us. "Having been made known with the view to the obedient of faith," [Rom 1:5] among all nation. Now, It says right here that they've been made known in order that you can have an obedient faith. In other words, look to what has been revealed and stay with it! (See?) Now, notice also, "Having been made known the view through the obedience of faith among all nation. "To God alone wise, through Jesus Christ to Him be glory forever and ever." [Rom 16:27] Does that sound like mystery something that you can't know anything about? Does that sound like the mystery something that you can't understand and get the really get acquainted with and know it? It sure doesn’t sound like it to me. Sounds like the mystery has not been half as mysterious as people has tried to tell us. 12. Now, Paul tells you that the Eternal Word, (listen carefully) Paul tells you that the Eternal Word God's foreknowledge can be made known. It has been made known, It is now knowable. Let's go now and trace it through. Ephesians 3:1-7 (1) For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, (2) If (you've) heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: (3) How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, (4) Whereby, when (you) read, (to me) understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Absolutely conversant with It. He said, "Vague to you, but absolutely I am conversant with It. (5) Which in other (generations, not ages, generations) was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; Paul claiming a revelation, a superior revelation to anything they had through the other ages. Even though they said the same thing, understood it to a point. They did not have the clarity. My what clarity we're going to have through the prophet's Messages if we only believe it. What other men wondered at, we know. Whatever other men strove to see we see. Whatever other men wanted, we have. Oh, what glorious wonderful revelation we have as we see this written before our eyes. Now, (6) That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: (7) Whereof I was made a minister, (through) the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Now, here's a man who was a minister through the very grace of Almighty God, and as He spreads the Word, He was ministering grace to the hearer, to be able to come to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My, what a wonderful calling Paul had. 13. Again, over in Colossians 4:3 (3) Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: Now, how would you like to have a man come and tell you something he couldn't understand? It wouldn't work. (See?) Why? Because the Gospel must be in simplicity. It must be available. It is sheep food. And remember, if you're going to have sheep food, you got to put it on the ground. That's right. Got to get it way down where the sheep can get it, and the lambs can have it. Paul ministering this Word. 14. Again, in 1 Corinthians 4:1, (1) Let a man so account of us, (he said, "Listen, I want you to recognize me as such) as the minister of Christ and a steward of the mysteries of God. (I am a steward.) Now, what is steward? A steward is a man who administers another man's possession in order to bring that man in an abundance upon that which he has invested. God investing and following the mysteries of God. And Paul bringing those mysteries out as a steward, and bringing the sheep to Almighty God. (See?) 15. All right, let's also go now to Mark and take a good look at this one, Mark 4:11-12 (11) And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: (12) That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. It says they can't get it, they will not get it, because God doesn't want them to have it, or He'd have them in His Kingdom. But, He said, "It's given to you. It's given to you, you're going to hear It, you're going to see It. So, your eyes are open, so you understand, so that you're absolutely converted having been turned right around and you'll be a part of that Kingdom." Now, so you can see right there that if we're going to be in that Kingdom, we're going to have to know about these mysteries. Now, the student of religious history. Which history of course dealt with the day of the apostle Paul have this to say about the mysteries. Among the ancient Greeks the mysteries were the religious rites and ceremony, practiced by secret society into which anyone who so desired might be received. Whosoever will, see. Those who were initiated into these mysteries, became possessors of certain knowledge which was not imparted to the uninitiated and they were called the perfected. In the days of the apostle, from which Paul took his illustrations, there were these clubs, (so to speak) these lodges, (so to speak) and you would become a member, and called one of the perfected ones when you took the training of the Word that they gave you. 16. So, it is they're going to see Paul using this very illustration in 1 Corinthians 2:1-10. (1) And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. (2) For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. (3) And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. (4) And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: (5) That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (6) Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: … Who are they? The initiated ones. those to whom have been given the secrets of the organization. We baptized into Christ to whom is given the Word of God by Spirit revelation which nobody else can possible have. Now, wouldn't it have been great for Paul to have attempted to give the people this very thing which would be revealed to them by the Holy Spirit, and he would give it in him a way contrary to what the same Spirit would reveal it. Couldn't do it. Paul's words and the revelation to be one. The very words of this man would be the very Words of God and those who were baptized in the body of the Lord Jesus Christ by the Holy Ghost would receive that Word, which would be revealed unto them and become their very life. Why? Because faith is life, you don't get eternal life outside of faith brother/sister. As Bro. Branham said, "There's no way to get it except by believing." He said, "You try to figure a way and show it to me." How would approach it? How would you come to it? How would you reach out and get it? How would you know that you had it? There's no way, but faith. And, "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." [Rom 10:17] 17. Now notice, he goes on to say: (6) Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: … (Sure, we understand it) yet not the wisdom of this world, nor the princes of this world, …(the merchants and the great wind. the rulers (that come to nothing, because it's all going to perish.) (7) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: (8) Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. Now there, you were right there. The very Word of God in a mystery, Isaiah 53: they turned down. Absolutely. Now, you and I read It and we say, "Well, that was Jesus Christ." How blind could Israel get? You say, "That's not mysterious as all." It certainly was a mystery right there. (See?) But brought into full view and apprehended. Now: (9) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (Is it mysterious?) (10) But (now) God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of (Almighty) God. 18. With that we go to Galatians 1:11-12 (11) But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. (12) …neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but, by revelation of Jesus Christ. Paul himself telling us this…that he wouldn't have been able to get this except by the fact that God had revealed It to him by His Spirit. Now remember what he said in Romans 16:25 (25) Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, (even) the (proclamation concerning) Jesus Christ, according to the (uncovering) of the mystery, which (during eternal sign, has been) kept (silence.) (26) But now (has been made known through prophetic writing according to the man made with the decree of Eternal God having been made known with a view through the obedience of faith among) all nations. (27) (For God alone) wise…through Jesus Christ (to Him) be glory for ever (and ever.) Now, God made a mandate, that there be a Seventh Church Age messenger. God made a decree. God made an ordinance. God said, "Thus Saith the Lord, there's going to be a Seventh Church Age messenger and he's going to reveal all the mysteries. And you're going to get them, because you are a part of that Kingdom, and the rest are going to be blinded, though just as clear as clear can be to you, you'll get it, but the rest won't." (See?) 19. Now, thus you can see what mysteries are. They are the revealed truths of the Word of God to the Elect. The mysteries are the revealed truths of the Word of God to the Elect, which nobody but the Elect get and everybody else can't figure out. So, as much as they try, then can never get it. (See?) Now, don't forget to put the emphasis on revelation. That's the thing. Remember, Nicodemus saw Jesus Christ, but he saw God. Oh, it shook him, and he said, "Rabbi, You got to be a man sent from God, some kind of a teacher. Because (he said) nobody can do what You're doing, (he said) I'm looking at a man and the things that are happening only the Words of God can bring to pass, what is going on here?" Jesus said, "Forget it, you won't get it. It takes a revelation, you've got to be born again." He said, "You don't even understand these things here." A man with a microscope does his test to understand nature, he's always running afoul. And he'll keep running afoul till he dies. Then, how are you going to get to God? (You see?) You won't do it. It takes a revelation. 20. Look what ends up here in John 3:27, just to give you the idea in that chapter. Now, (27) John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. I want to repeat that Message. It's not unless it is given to you from above. I want to receive Christ! Not unless it is given to you from above. I want to get to know these truths. Not unless it is give to you from above. Now, don't forget to put the emphasis on revelation, because that's where Paul put it. So you can coordinate what I'm saying with what Bro. Branham taught when he used the Scofield Bible definition, to define mysteries. Now, you were there some of you, and the rest of you got the tapes and the books. And it was…here is what Bro. Branham said: 'Is This The Sign of The End, Sir?' [62-12-30] [244] A mystery is Scripture, is a previously hidden Truth… (previously hidden, but not now) now Divinely revealed, but (in which) a supernatural element remains despite the revelation. That's where your faith is. We might as well admit, that this is what makes the believing Elect appear fools and deceived, to the non-elect. It's hidden to them. Just what Jesus said in Mark. You see it, you understand it. How often did William Branham stand there with 'Thus Saith the Lord'? It didn't shake them. It should have shaken them. Remember, the Scripture said, "You didn't tremble in My Presence, why did you not tremble in My Presence?" The Pillar of Fire hung there and I'm ashamed to say I was a guilty as anyone as looking on that Thing as almost a sideshow. It should not have been one of us that wasn’t smitten to tears and groveled in the aisles and in the floor. But, we stood there as Bro. Branham said, "Familiarity breeding contempt." The very Presence of God, the Pillar of Fire, a man with 'Thus Saith the Lord'. 21. And yet remember at the west coast the last time Bro. Branham was there. I forget, Covina or somewhere, I don't know where it was, but it was the last night and there they had the banquets. And Bro. Branham said, "Year after year I've come back and told you ladies, I've bawled you out, I've done all I can to help you. I said don't cut your hair. Watch those skirts. Don't you go preaching now." And he said, "Every year I come back, (he said) you're worse than ever." And, haw, haw, haw, titter, titter, titter. I tell you, I was so mortified, I'd have crawled under a table or under a rug. But they only laughed at a prophet with 'Thus Saith the Lord'. What do you want? What kind of a God have you got? What kind of a God are you worshipping? What is in your thoughts, your heart or your mind to listen to 'Thus Saith the Lord'? To see It come to pass a thousand times, and then men stand back nonchalantly. There's only one word my brother, my sister, blind. blind, blind. You can't explain anyone of these mysteries with a perfect understanding to the natural mind the Bible says so. How often have I stood in the pulpit anointed, knowing I said the exactly the right thing and knew it was one hundred percent with that Word. Only to find someone later on ask me a question. And you know, you know my nature, I'm a little quick. I didn't want to hurt the person's feeling. But almost a little abruptly I said, "Look, I know it's the truth, but I can't explain it. How often has Bro. Branham brought these sacred things to our attention? He never could explain it to the natural mind, even thought that mind literally has the Holy Spirit in to help us, there never has been, or will be a time when you can ever adapt this Word to the carnal mind and place It out. That's exactly why Paul said, "You can memorize It, and get It down letter perfect, it doesn't still mean a thing." Because it doesn't ring the bell of faith and makes your heart alight, so set upon Jesus Christ. You know that you know that you're one of them. And you sanctify yourself by the Word of God which is Jesus Christ. That's what he's trying to tell us. It is a revelation, and we see it by the Spirit of God. Not the spirit of man. 23. Listen to what It says over here in John 16:12-13 (12) I have yet many things to say unto you, but (you) cannot bear them now. Did you hear what I said? Jesus said, "I've got a lot of things to tell you but you won't get it." You haven't got what it takes, I know again, you might not like my vernacular, but you sure got the meaning that time didn't you? Jesus said, "You haven't got what it takes," so there's no use me telling you. So, listen: (13) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, … (you'll have what it takes, you'll be alright then you'll get it, no problem it's all yours.) 24. Now, listen brother, I'm going to quote to show you that I'm on the right track. Quoting, 'The Anointed Ones at the End Time' [65-07-25] page 59. ] [262] …remember, the Third Pull was the opening of them Seven Seals, to reveal the hidden Truth that has been sealed in the Word. … 'The Breach Between The Seven Church Ages and The Seven Seals' [ 63-03 -17] [39] The mysteries comes down from God, as the Word of God, and reveals the entire revelation of God… And have I told you the truth about the mysteries? The prophet quote. "The Word that came down from God is a mystery and It can never be clear so you can put your faith upon it, except you been given by power of God to receive it and you're guarantee to be able to receive the Word of God that you need for you day has been guaranteed by the Holy Ghost, which is your seal, those seals you to the very day of redemption." Now, we can now see that the mystery actually equates the doctrine. Right? The mysteries are actually the doctrine. God's wisdom or truth transmitted to man in order that he may comprehend as far as human limitation will allow the Spirit to reveal It to him. That's right. God shows It, we believe It. This is why there is that element of the supernatural remaining even in the clearest teaching. Now then, there are conditions set forth in the Word as to these mysteries coming to the people. You hear what I said now? We know what they are, these doctrines, these truths, these great things in the Bible. They can obscure. Somewhere obscured in the Old Testament brought out clearly. Now, somewhat obscured in the New Testament day, but at the end time they're brought into full revelation manifestation. That's right. 25. Now, what are the conditions laid down in order that the people received these mysteries. All right, I'm going to give you about three of them to begin with. Now: Only men gifted by God can bring any revelation to the Elect. Only men gifted by God can bring a revelation to the Elect. Ephesians 3:7-10 (7) Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. (This is an ordained elected office.) (8) Unto me, who am…the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; (9) And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning (that's before, and only in time, time is eternal, was) hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: Now, there you are right there, is a great mystery right there. God creating all things by Jesus Christ. He didn't know that. They knew Elohim, El Elah, Adonai, Jehovah and so on. (10) To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, Remember, I preached on that… showing you Sunday morning, 'God's Great Masterpiece' there, the Bride through all Ages? It's by this Word comes down by the faithful elected ministers of God who break the bread of the Word of Life to those who will receive It. It's given to these certain ones. 26. Now, notice also… (you can hold your finger there or not) and we go back again to 1 Corinthians 4:1 (1) Let a man so account of us, … He said, "Listen, I want to tell you if you want to say anything to me, if you want to make a summation of my life, if you want to put your finger on it and thumb me up, (then he said) you account me. Here's what I want you to say about me." (1) … (that man's a minister) of Christ and (he's a steward) of the mysteries (of doctrine, the teaching of God, a vessel to bring forth the Word to me. Exactly what Paul said.) Now you listen: as Bro. Branham said that they want to skin him, the want to tar and feather him, right? And if that's the case, tar and feather Paul. I don't know what vindication Paul had, but I sure was around William Branham enough. I saw him in 1946 and from 1953 on, I was a lot around him. That's a long time, that's twelve solid years. I'll tell you what I saw in Canada. Yet in Canada one of these nights when I talk about that prophet. Andy, you were there that same night, but you missed it. 27. Now, Paul was gifted to bring us the revelation originally. Then of course, through Seven Church Ages, other men were gifted by the same Holy Ghost, the same Christ to bring the Message for your day. It's okay. Revelation 1:10 (10) I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, And in verse 12 (12) …I turned to see the voice… and…I saw seven golden candlesticks; (13) And in the midst of the seven candlesticks (and in the midst of the candlesticks) one like the Son of man, … (he's saying the same thing as Son of man.) (16) And he had (seven stars) in his right hand… (which are seven messengers.) Now, every single Church Age. [Revelation] 2:1 (1) Unto the (messenger) of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that (holds) the seven stars in his right hand, who (walks) in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; And ends up by verse 7 saying: (7) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; … But the Spirit doesn't talk to the people, talks to the messengers. To see and hear the messengers. Every single Church Age starts the same way. A revelation of Jesus Christ, a message to the people and they have to hear it. And they do not get it by themselves. They get it through the messengers. Every Age had a messenger. And then Paul said, "Teach faithful men, who will in turn teach others." And this is how the Word of God goes forth. And this is how the truth goes to the people. The mysteries, the doctrine, the teaching, this wonderful Word of God that everybody else is blinded to, but you're aware of and alive to. And teaches your faith to put you into that Kingdom. I say this is given to men to transmit to you. I know that's a sore spot with some folk, because I want to tell you they don't believe in that. No sir! They say, "Stay home and play tapes." If that's the case, how come they don't do it? They're in every street corner, and they're talking faster than I am, and believe me I can talk, …and talk fast. The proof of the pudding is in the…they can't take it themselves. There…as anybody knows with one ounce of spiritual intelligence, that God put that elected ministry in the church, and that church positively has to have it to bring the Bride to perfection, or cut out of your Bible Ephesians the 4th chapter. Now, we won't cut out the heavenly chapter brother/sister, because that's a heavenly Book. 28. All right, secondly: Only gifted men can separate and coordinate the truth for the Bride. Repeat: Only gifted men can separate and coordinate the truth for the Bride. To simply know each mystery allowed contradiction of the Word. The Bible then fights the Bible. The whole Word must be reconciled to one, living, working, body. Amen. You say, "Bro. Vayle, what's your proof?" Romans 11:25 (25) For I would not, brethren, that (you) should be ignorant of this mystery, lest (you) should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles come in. Then why does everybody try to win the Jew to Christ? You know what they get it from? "To the Jew first." [Rom 1:16b] All right, the Jew got it first. It's over. Paul said, "We turn from you to the Gentiles." Is that, right? And that ends number one. What happened? They're blinded. Now, brother/sister Paul said, "I want you Gentiles to know this thing." He said, "Here's something you don't understand." He said, "The Bible says they glorified God, that the Word of the Lord came to the Gentiles." 29. What's that, about Acts 13:40, somewhere in there, 45? They were glad, the Word went to the Gentiles. Now, Paul said to the Gentiles: "This I'm going to tell you something right here, and you better understand the Word the way It's really written, and I'm giving you the revelation. The Word was given to Israel first. Now, It's come to you because they turned It down. And the reason that they turned It down was God blinding them." Then how are you going to open the eyes that God blinded? You have millions that are trying to do it. How many millions of dollars to raise to win the Jews? Now, as Bro. Branham said, "You'll win one or two, but they'll never come." They can't, until Elijah and Moses whether the real, or the spirit upon two others, seals in the 144,000. (See?) But you won't convince people that way. Because why? Because, the Jews first. So always, go to the Jews first, keep going. In other words, I mustn't talk to a Gentile till I approach the Jew. Nah…ah…ah…Not the Bible. Brother/sister listen to me, that's what wrong with us today. We have a Baptist, a Methodist, a Presbyterian, a Nazarene, a Pentecostal, and you name it, and everyone is based upon a certain way that they interpret the Bible and everyone has got to be wrong. Because the Bible doesn't fight the Bible. (See?) That's another reason that you know there's an allotted truth for every single Age. (See?) Now, do you see why there's such fighting over doctrine. There is such fighting over doctrine, because, there are not too many truly elected members in the Body of Jesus Christ to deliver the Word of God to the Saints. 30. Let's go to Ephesians 4: Notice, when He ascended up on high, what did He do? He then descended. Now, I hope you know that. He that ascended is the same that descended, but He couldn't descend, until He ascended above all things. And the only One that went above all things was Jesus Christ, because He came back. How did He come back? He came back two thousand years ago as the Holy Ghost. What did He do? He set the church in order. (11) …he gave…apostles…prophets…teachers…evangelists… pastors. (Not elders, not deacons. What for?) (12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: (13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: We haven't got it yet, and it won't come until the Capstone comes down and crowns us with love, which is Christ Himself. So therefore, you've got a five-fold ministry, Elect of Almighty God. This is what is wrong today brother/sister. There's too many people today in the ministry who never were called. Not going to try to vindicate myself, I just got to believe I was called that's all. And I'm not trying to un-vindicate anybody else whose ministry, because they ought to believe they're called too. I’ll go right along with them, say, "God bless you brother I believe you're called." I won't argue. But the trouble is, there are too many men who never were called. 31. Let's go over to the Book of Matthew 7: What It is saying here in these verses? Look at It, 15. (15) Beware of false prophets, which (shall) come to you in sheep's clothing, inwardly they are ravening wolves. A false prophet, a false teacher is a man who looks on the outside just like a Christian, and oh, he is so full of love. Now, I don’t want to shoot any poison arrows at anybody tonight and get you all fussed up and starting fighting amongst yourself. But love is not the evidence of being baptized with the Holy Ghost. Because this man is a sheep, and is a wolf in sheep clothing. (See?) Now, It says here: (16) (You'll) know them by their fruits… Oh, come on, how do you get fruit off a sheep, or a wolf? Christ is mixing His metaphors. Oh, no He's not. Oh, no He's not, you got to be aware of what the Bible teaches. You don't read It casually. He's switching us now to where it all started, from this wolf in sheep clothing, who talks like a Christian, who acts like a Christian. But there's something about him that is not a Christian. 32. All right, (16) (You'll) know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (17) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; … Aha, now we're getting to the source the tree. What are those two trees? The Tree of Life, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The mixed and perverted word in a man that looks like, acts like, sounds like a Christian but he's off of that Word. Just like Satan he took Eve and perverted that Word against Word, till she fell. I challenge you, tell me where I misquoted Bro. Branham on word? In 'The Anointed Ones at the End Time' [65-07-25] brings this out perfectly. Not grinding an axe in there. I believe in love like anybody else does. You're not motivated by love. If the love of God not forcing you to do those things you do, but I see a man called God. And I saw Him heal the multitude. I saw Him break those loaves and fishes, but one day He went down that road. And there He picked on man not dying of cancer, not afflicted with a terrible disease, (but maybe as Bro. Branham said arthritis or prostate disturbance) and He said, "Do you want to get healed?" And He left the rest sitting there. Where is that God of love? Why doesn't raise all the dead? Why not heal all the sick? Why take that one man there? “That's compassion” said Bro. Branham. Aw, my brother my sister, get back to that Word as you’ve been deceived. You say, "Bro. Vayle, you're beside yourself." He'll think that, I'm yelling. Don't worry about saving my voice, if I can't preach tomorrow I won't preach. I'm preaching now, tomorrow may never come. 33. I've seen men and women deceived too many times on this very same thing here. The Bible distinctly says, and I challenge again, go to your 'The Anointed Ones at the End Time'. This positively, absolutely is a man who acts like he has everything, but he's off that Word as Bro. Branham said, "Give him the Word test." Sure love, there's got to be love. What does Bro. Branham say on day? I said, "Bro. Branham, I don't understand." He said, "Bro. Vayle now listen to me…." (Discussion subject, now this is off the tape, so I'm sorry, you can throw it in the garbage if you want, because I still say stick to those tapes that he said.) I said, "Bro. Branham I don't understand." And he said, "Lee, I'm going to put it this way. Do you often do those things which you normally would not do because you want to please Christ?" I said, "Certainly!" He said, "That's love!" Many times, a man doesn't look like he's got love. Many times, Bro. Branham didn't look like he had love. Many times, it looked like Jesus didn’t have love. But Jesus said, "Which of you can confute Me in one word?" 34. There's the test. That Eve fell on that day, she turned that one Word down, but Jesus said He taught, "Which of you can convict Me of sin?" [John 8:46a] That word in the Greek is, "Which of you can confute Me of one Word?" As Bro. Branham said, "Show me one Word that He didn't fulfill." Also, the Greek brings out even more so. "Show me one word, I’m out in." I don't …?... the day that He picks up those thongs and whipped those guys out of the temple. You say, "That bunch of birds needed to be turned out." Just hold your horses right there, they we're a bunch thieves and renegade tricking the people. They were money changers. Why? Because the temple demanded a certain coin. And if they didn't have the coin those men sat there, doing God a service changing their money so you had that coin. And they thought by their good works, they're nice ways to get to the Kingdom of Almighty God, they'd get into heaven. And Jesus said, "He that comes in any other way is a thief and a robber." [Jn 10:1] You come by the Word, and the Word was made flesh. Oh my God, if we accept their sacrifices, God accept that Word upon Word, upon Word. Amen! That Jesus Christ was one Word made in flesh, so the Bride of Jesus Christ is the same. (See?) Yes sir. The love of God, all love divine brought by that Word, certainly. Love, there's got to be love there. Never was a time when there wouldn't be love. 35. Now, these men here are off of that Word. They act sweetly at times. (See?) Say, "Bro. Vayle, why do you get cross about these things?" Because I deal with this across America. I deal with them around the world when I go anyplace. It's the same story, just doesn't matter. They say, "Just as long as you love each other." Yes, we must love each other, but it's got to come from the Word. You say, "What if a man doesn't believe that Word" If you love any, you'd love them all the more. Love them all the more. But what shape he's in? But your evidence lies in that Word. You follow me? Bro. Branham said he had a vision, 'Broken Cisterns [64-07-26] He said, "Talking to Bro. Vayle…" (you know the story) he said, "Bro. Vayle used to believe in tongues as the evidence, but saw that didn’t work.” He said he used to believe in love. Then one day God gave him a vision. What was that vision? The vision was the identification with the Word. (See?) 36. Now, that doesn't put love as signs. It doesn't, love is a fruit, there's got to be love. If I came here for any other reason except I loved the Lord. I love to help God's people, and love to preach the Word to help people. And I said my message is not pastoral. I could take a pastor night and day and melt you hearts in a certain way that's nice. But, that's not my job at this meeting, it's to cut across this Word. Word by Word. It's every ounce of energy I’ve got, to show you just what it says. My emphasis, everything I indicate is in that direction. I don’t lack of love, no sir. No sir. You don't go down that road as nothing, not knowing where you're going at twenty years of age, but you go there. You don't go down that road leaving your wife and kids at home with nothing, to go and serve Almighty God, not necessarily know where you're going, but you go anyway. You don't care if everything you've got, you go down and make a sacrifice because you haven't got anything in your heart. No brother/sister, you do because you've got something in your heart. When you're going to go all the way with God, you go all the way with that Word. There's going to be millions, trying to make it without It. We're going to make it by, if we're bone of His bone, and flesh of His flesh, we're going to be His, Word by Word. 37. That's why God sent a prophet. He didn't have to send a prophet because a man lacked a certain grace. How many of you folk ever met Jonathan Goforth [1859-1936] the great Canadian? Anybody of you in here? I wish to God that you'd have seen him. I was in his presence one day. I could have groveled, and kissed his feet as I felt the presence Jesus Christ. I was melted to tears. There's always been love. Bailey, of South Africa, you talk about power. I was a pretty good friend of the late Charles Price. I knew him well. Talk about power. God sent a prophet to bring that Word back. We brought the Word back, he didn't take away love. He didn't take away character. He didn't take away mercy. He didn't take away anything, but he brought that Word back. But, some folk think that Word is not important. Not one Word brother/sister. Not one Word is changed. If anything, then the love goes richer, fuller and freer, and deeper. If anything, then the grace is much more abundant. If anything, then the mercy is much compounded. If anything, the character is much more going. If anything, then as Bro. Branham said, "The law only destroyed when Jesus came, He multiplied it." He's not only now not to look upon a woman with any thoughts in your mind, but even in this day women taking their clothes off, he just walked by anyway. It doesn’t mean much and it won't mean anything at all. Amen, do you believe that? 38. We're coming to it brother/sister, just as sure as you and I are alive tonight. We might not have our hearts the way you want it, we might not have everything the way you think it ought to be. But, I say to you tonight God sent a prophet with 'Thus Saith the Lord'. And there's going to be a Bride standing here, and she won't be one that looks like a Christian. She won't be one who acts like a Christian, she'll be one that is a Christian. She will be a Christian. She won't be Bro. Branham said one of those people say, "Well, I want to tell you if it wasn't for this or that, I'd like to give that person a piece of my mind." No sir. You say, "I couldn't do that, I belong to Christ." Yes, that's what the prophet taught, get your 'The Anointed Ones at the End Time'. There aren't too many of those men. I only trust by God I could be one of them by His grace. I can't prove that I am. And I couldn't deny the other fellow preaching the Gospel and trying to be right. 39. But listen to what the apostle Paul said over here in Acts 20:28, and he said, therefore: (28) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. (Christ the Blood of God.) (29) For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you… (elders, not the five-fold ministries.) Paul did not call the pastors. Paul did not call the prophets. He did not call the apostles. He did not call the evangelists. He did not call the teachers, he called the elders. He said, "The elders amongst you is where it's going to come." Why? Because they're not part of the five-fold ministry. The elder is a man who wants to preach. An elder is a man who feels, "I'd like to do God a service." And let me tell you that you can, and do, if you want. But, don't you dare enter a pulpit and try to lead God's people, until first of all you've been ordained an elder. (I didn't get any 'amen's, You’ve, been listening good. That's alright. I don't need one.) Paul said to Timothy, "Ordain elders, (he said) he should be apt to teach." Preaching the full gospel there should be these men, we see dozens amongst the people rise up. And you can say what you want. They've done a great work, they're doing a great work my brother, my sister. I'm not going to deny about a man doing the work. But the prophet of God taught that you can do God a service apart from His will. 40. You know what David was going to do? He's going to bring the ark home. Is that, right? What more glorious thing to bring the ark home? But David did wrong. An ordained of God five-fold ministry will not bring you a foul word. Because the Bible said, "A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit." [Mt 7:18] Let one man, then say, "Bro. Branham made one mistake." The man is wrong, William Branham is right. Let two men say that Bro. Branham made a mistake, both men are wrong, Bro. Branham is right. Let denominations say that Bro. Branham is wrong. The denomination is wrong, Bro. Branham is right. Let the whole world say he's wrong. Bro. Branham stood alone, he was the only one that was right, because he alone could prove that he was meek. 41. February, was it February the camp meeting at Terry's in '64, February, or January? April. In April, Bro. Branham took me to breakfast in Tampa, Florida, and he said, "Lee, all my thoughts are of God. I must be left alone, I have to have my time with Him. I must not be disturbed." Oh, that I had men around me who would simple carry on and do the best they can." But he said, "I must be with God, because my thoughts are all of God." You say, "I challenge a man like that." Not me, ho, ho, not me. And I saw that man the night God gave him the vision, God gave him the power of life and death. I saw him as that young couple there began hugging and kissing in the audience, and he looked out there and said, "Don't do that, this is the house of God sanctified by prayer, though it be an armory, it's a house of prayer, it's a house of God, don't do that children." And they kept on kissing and smooching acting like a couple of little nonsensical kids. And I saw his face go ashen, rocking back and forth on his feet. I saw him blanch there, going back and forth. And I said, "God, what's going to happen?" He said, "Children I’ve got the power of life and death, don't do that." And they kept on doing it. Rocking back and forth, rocking back and forth. I thought I should pray. I never knew what prayer was until that moment. "Oh God, don't let him kill those kids." You talk about a crisis moment in my life and one in his. Rocking back and forth, rocking back and forth. Suddenly, he broke, first thing he says, "I give you your life." Glory to God, let one billion people rise up and say he's wrong. I say he's right!! Glory to God. Tell me a vindicated prophet of that stature. (I don't care if I get through preaching. 42. I want to tell you something and I won't reserve it. In Vancouver, I think it was 1946 I was in that meeting. Bro. Branham came to that platform, a little beautiful looking, little man, fine looking little fellow, he was handsome in those days. He looked beautiful, even in death. He stood in that platform and he said, "Friends, there's a lot of sick people here, now (he said) look, I'm going to give you a choice and you can vote on it." He said, "You can bring twenty-four of your worse cases here tonight, and I guarantee healing for all." Then he said, "All those in the prayer line…if you got prayer cards, and (he said) sixty percent get healed. Now, (he said) let's have a show of hands, how many want to bring the twenty-four cases, that are the hardest cases and see miracles?" Hardly a hand went up. He said, "How many of you want the people to go through the prayer line and take your chances, sixty percent get healed." They raised their hands. Brother/sister, look at the impact that was lost, twenty-four guaranteed miracles. It would have shook the world. It would have brought the Kremlin and the Vatican, and all the religious structure, the Hindus, the Taoist, the Confucius, you name it, the Muslim’s, it would have brought them all down tumbling to the ground crushed, because here was a man that could guarantee twenty-four miracles and get them. 43. But, do you know what happened? They didn’t' want to see it. You know what happened? He took a prayer line, and there wasn't one miss. Instead of twenty-four guaranteed miracles, there was a least one thousand instantaneous absolute healings, and nobody even caught on. Amazing grace. And yet God blinding the eyes of the world. He gave them their chance, and they turned It down, and He did it anyway. [Bro. Vayle and congregation sing:] Oh, how I love Jesus, Oh how I love Jesus, Oh, how I love Jesus, Because He first loved me. I'll never forsake Him, I'll never forsake Him, I'll never forsake Him, Because He first love me. (Let's sing it:) I'll always believe Him, I'll always believe Him. I'll always believe Him, Because He first love me. All right, let's just sing it, the mysteries of God are edifying the Bride. And they never were intended that the Lord to be used for judging and whipping. They never were. God's Word judging and whipping. It's not meant to cut down the sheep. For as Paul said, "If I know all the mysteries, and I have them all perfectly and I have not love, (he said) then I am nothing." [1 Cor 13:2] "All doctrine, all Word, has been the inspiration of God, and it's profitable for doctrine, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." [2 Tim 3:16] In order for those people in the congregation absolutely one with it. 44. Not only conversant with it, but one with Almighty God by means of that Word. There is no preacher who should be deceived, or ever keep the people under such control because of that Word of Almighty God. That to me as Bro. Branham said, when a preacher uses the Word of God as a club, he's a hypocrite. I've got to say this, (and I'm sorry) there has been a time or two, when I used Word as a club. Now, because I'm a kind of a rough talker here, bearing down, I am not trying to use this Word as a club. I'm only using a strap tonight to try to show you what I had in my heart what I believe the prophet of God brought to us. Not trying to club you. And if you feel I'm clubbing you, you just come and talk to me, and I'll sure apologize to you. Because I'm not, because I don't even know you folk here. But it's the way I preach all around the country any place I go. The Word of God was not given to any preacher, or any person to use as a club. Just the other day, Bro. Branham edified my soul so greatly when I was wondering how a person could testify to sinners. That's right, I've done testifying in my day. And I've done witnessing and won souls I really believe to the Lord Jesus Christ. I think I have, I can't prove it, because only God knows. I don't know, but God knows. 45. And Bro. Branham said, "Listen, (he said) don't tell a man how wrong he is. And don't tell a man because he's cussing and drinking and bawl him out, or tell him he's going to go to hell. Say to him, 'brother, there's a better way of life I'd like to tell you about it'." That's what I'm trying to do today. I'm trying to show you about these things where the true evidence of being one with Christ really is. Not taking away, but adding to It, so we stand firm and know exactly where we're at so we cannot be shaken. (See?) No, you don't use the Word as a club. (See?) Notice also in this same thing I mentioned as Bro. Branham brought us, Paul brought out in 1 Corinthians 13:2, that's Christ's Church it's based upon a revelation. Not by a teaching, handed down by the fathers. Look it here let's face it, if God gave me a revelation today and I have the ability to put it out word by word so you could grasp it mentally, well you know what, you just be a mental Christian that's all. It's got to be spiritual. (See?) So, that's what Paul warns about that, and Bro. Branham said the very same thing. He said…he's quoting Bro. du Plessis and when he said, "God does not have grand children, God has children." And the way God get's grandchildren is believing what your daddy believed, since he taught it to you and he even made it work. 46. Now, fourthly: the mysteries of God, was a foolishness to the world must be proclaimed with boldness. Oh my, Bro. Branham preached a whole sermon on this: [Ashamed 65-07-11] of Jesus Christ. Let's go to Ephesians 6:19 Now: (19) And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, In other words, brother/sister there could be a time when you and I might want to soft peddle this glorious Gospel. There might be a time, I think more than one person has told me, and I think Bro. Peary's testimony about a certain brother that how that he was not getting anywhere for a while. He didn't seem to make any headway, because he didn't thing he ought to talk about Bro. Branham. But, when he began to talk about Bro. Branham and identify the Word with the messenger, then God began to do something. Brother/sister, listen, let's identify with this Word. Now, here is one place where it is very easy for me. And I don't know whether it's just my nature or what it is, but I'll tell you something about what I think of this Gospe,l Bro. Branham taught. I have always loved a community church. If I had my way as a pastor, I would go to a town and open a community church. And a community church is this kind of a church, it cuts across everything that everybody believes and centers it in Christ, and there's only one person can do it, that's William Branham, and I love to what he taught. 47. If I were to preach today without a revelation of who he was, (that's not possible of course) but if I could, and if I could be a pastor after a sort, and go to some town and have a church, I would preach this Word exactly according to what he said the best I could, because I believe this is it, whether It restores or not. I love…I love that doctrine 'no eternal hell'. I love that doctrine 'eternal security'. I love that doctrine 'election'. I love that [doctrine] 'serpent seed', because it justifies God and election. Why should God have to do anything but reprobate an animal, so to speak? Where can you find the serpent's name in the Book? Without that doctrine of 'the serpent seed', I would never be able to understand election the way I do. I'd never understand reprobation, the way I see it. Oh, I praise God tonight for the thrill that's in this Word. this is meat indeed and drink indeed. This is the very Christ. (See?) Absolutely, I love it. No, not ashamed. But you know Bro. Branham said we could be ashamed. Remember I told you about that Joseph Pine show when they wrote in and said…the man is dead now that he wrote that terrible dirty book about the serpent taking the woman, in copulation? They said, "Why a man like that ought to be put in jail, or anybody reading the book. They ought to burn the book." Well, maybe somebody might get shaken, maybe the time will come when you and I will have it pretty tough. But, brother/sister listen, we've got the only pure Gospel there is today, be proud of It. Just like you women, Bro. Branham said, "Wear your hair with pride it’s your glory." So, let each one of us have this Word in our hearts, bless God with joy unspeakable and full of glory, because it's 'Thus Saith the Lord'. 48. Now, number five: It is evident that the mysteries will not scatter, or separate the Bride, but bring her together. "Oh my, oh my, every time God ever did show His Church something, you're scattering the boat. Oh, you wicked person coming in here. Oh, you deathly person, you got a wrong spirit on you, you're scattering the sheep." No, no, no my brother my sister, you're bringing the sheep together. Oh, yes, yes, yes. I don't care what they say, I want to know what He said. So, I went to my Bible and found out. That's a good place to go. I've learned a lot of lessons, and one place to find out about the Word of God, is go to the Word of God. Now, Bro. Clark is very good. Bro. Strong is very good. And Bro. Finney is very good, and Bro. Branham is the best. And if I want to know what the best man said, I go to the Bible like the best man said. That's the way to get it really licked, isn't it? 49. All right, in Colossians 2:1 (1) For I would that (you) knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, (and we've got conflicts right now too) and for as many as my face have not seen in the flesh; (2) That their hearts might be comforted, knit together in love, unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknow- ledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and Christ; Now brother/sister, Paul said, "When you got my revelation and your heart hasn't fully revealed to you, (he said) you're one. See, the revelation does not split the Bride, it brings the Bride together. That's exactly why you see John said, "They left us, because they weren't of us." [1 John 2:19a] Talking on the Word. Yes sir. I want to tell you, when Bro. Branham died and a lot of folk left him, because he died, I tell you, it made my faith stronger than ever. A man from up in New England phoned me, and he thought he'd encourage me. And he thought that I was sobbing now, and without a leader he was going to be my leader. Oh brother, it was…hard enough when Bro. Branham was getting under his thumb. He had somebody else. He said, "I've got a mind of my own." And so, he thought I'd cry on his shoulder. And when he saw that I wouldn't cry, "Well, (he said) Lee, I don't see how God would smear a man across the road." And I said, "He fed them to the lions and put their carcasses like dung on the ground." Don't talk to me about a man being smeared across the road. I said, "Brother, I want to tell you, if you expect me to believe a man because he's alive, or I'm going to say a man's vindicated because he's alive, now that's kiss the pope's toe, he's alive." Now, that took care of the toe kissing. [laughter] That took care of the fooling. Brother/sister, I want to tell you this Word I'm standing on, and I know you're standing on It. And believe me, It does not scatter the Bride, It brings the Bride together. 50. Listen, over here in 2 Thessalonians 2:1, now let's look at It. (1) Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, In the Book of 'Seals', page 106, paragraph 5, and 'Invisible Union of the Bride' [65-11-25] page 29 and paragraph 3, Bro. Branham said, "That gathering was the end time Message." Read It over in Matthew 23:37 (37) O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, … God sent His prophet, and those that He ordained, and gathered the Elect of God with the Word. The Word of God doesn't scatter, It gathers them. You say, "Well, Bro. Vayle, we sure look scattered. That you're looking at it carnally honey, that's your trouble. It's gathered. You know why It gathers? Because God says so. You say, "I want some more evidence?" I don't want any more evidence. I believe It. I don't care if that man out there believes in what he looks like, what's he's doing, I believe I'm being gathered. Listen, I'm not being competitive. Bro. Branham said, "If there's only one person in your town is going to make the Rapture, you believe you're that one." "I'm married, what about my wife?" I say, "Now, honey I think you'd better go." Well, she loves me, she says, "Honey, you better go." "Oh no, (I say) you better go." "No, I think you better go." Now, how ridiculous can you get? You're not competitive, you're believing! If there's ten thousand people in this town believe this Message, everyone believing, is not competitive to snuff the other man out. God's gathering. Now, I want to tell you something right here brother/sister, since about 1968 we've been getting more crystallized in our thinking than more adamant, in the way we're going. We better watch ourselves. I know it, and you know it too. 51. Now, the sixth point: no true minister of the mysteries will use his office in any way, except for the sake of the Word and the Elect. All right 1 Timothy 3:9 (9) Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. Now, how did Paul have a pure conscience? Because he gave the Word of God, and thereby delivered his soul. And all that he wanted to do was to deliver the Word. Now brother/sister that's what a preacher, lives for. He doesn't live to make a name for himself. He doesn't live to make a following. Now, if I've got a following, I want them pointed out, so I can hit him right in the nose, and that will still be love. That's the best love tap you ever got, don't follow me, because I'll only lead you astray. I like what Bro. Rosenke said, "If any man follows me, he's sure got to run awfully hard." And he ain't going to catch him. Yes sir, I don't want my conscience defiled. As I confess to you there has been one or two times I've used the Word of God as a club, and I realized thoroughly ashamed, you can never do that. No sir, not as a club, no sir. Not trying to take advantage, not trying to steer you my way, because I tell you this: unless you know this straight and know it straight right now, read your Bible. 52. And you go to the Book of John, and in there you're going to find that those disciples did not recognize Jesus Christ, they could not tell him facial feature. They could not tell him by how He looked, they only know who He was by what He did. And there's something coming in that Resurrection period, I don't understand, and I won't talk about. But, there could be something, I don't know, and I leave it right there. So then how can they use the Word of God and impress you my way or any other way? I don't know. I don't know. All I know is, for this minute I have what I understand through the revelation the Holy Ghost of what Bro. Branham taught. And I stick to it and I teach it. And I know that's the way you are what you gather from those tapes, what your faithful minister taught you. You believe and you want it only for one thing, you want it to place you in that kingdom. And we are teaching the Word of God for one thing, because we love that Word, and we love the Elect of Almighty God. And if we don't do it, shame on us. I just put it this way, if we fail to do that, we're not elect. We'll just try to take advantage and make them play by the rules. No, God forbid that anybody should do that. 53. Now, seven: certain mysteries are necessarily reserved for certain seasons, and cannot be made known until it's the time for the manifestation. Because God interprets His Word through manifestations. "What's all this talk about Elijah the prophet coming?" "Well, Bro. Vayle, between you and me I think you said it wrong, because (ha, ha) there's isn't much to it, there's just a few verses of Scripture, so there's all this talk, there isn't very much talk." I wish I knew really what it really was myself. Then take a look at William Branham, there it is in books. There it is on tape. There it is in movies, projector. There it is in slides. There it is. Volumes and volumes could be written. Oh, those few verses on Elijah. But there he stood, and God revealed His Word through manifestation. God interpreted His Word into revelation by manifestation and they still couldn't get it, because their eyes were blinded. Yes sir, brother/sister, that's what Paul said about the mystery of iniquity. He said, "That mystery of iniquity is already worked. But there's only going to be one day when you'll really know what it is. And Bro. Branham was the man who could tell it. And he said, "Once and for all I'm telling you what other men guessed at, this is 'Thus Saith the Lord', the mystery of iniquity is the people worshipping the devil through a church system." 54. Now, eight: conditions. There has to be some kind of manifested vindication to prove which one it is that God is giving the true revelation of the doctrine to the Bride. And this vindication first of all started with Paul. Now, I don't need to read It here, because you know the verses, 1 Corinthians 2:1-8, and Colossians 1:26-29, where he speaks on vindication. And this perfectly revealed wisdom in mystery, the doctrine for their day brought forth a virgin Bride according to 2 Corinthians 11:2. Paul said, "I've espoused you to Christ as a virgin, and I want you to hate being a virgin." But, according to the apostle Paul, in Acts 20:26-31, he said, "The Bride would fall into sin." John saw the First Church Age leave her first love which was the Word. 1 John 2:18-19, told them that people had already left, because he wouldn't believe the Word, and they had fallen after the antichrist system. Now, I just abbreviated that, I could have talked twenty minutes on it, there's no use. You under-stand what I mean. The church begins to leave the Word and her virginity. 55. Thus, the church goes into error with no vindicated prophet to bring her back to original purity. Not one man from the apostle Paul, down to the Seventh Church Age, had the true revelation of the entire Word of God. But God gave the necessary revelation for every age as seen by the Church Age messengers chapter two and chapter three, and the verse I want to read now is Titus 1:1-3 (1) Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; There you are, conduct is part of it. That's why I say character is part of it. That's not it though. That comes out of it. It just like you get eggs out of a hen. The egg isn't the hen, but you got to have the hen to get the egg. (See?) Now then, if you got eggs without a hen, it's ersatz. It's phony. So therefore, if you have love, grace, mercy, character and so on apart from the Word, it won't go down with God. Do you follow now what I'm trying to get across? You see, this is kind of worse than you think it is. You know…as I say, I'm around a lot and you'd be surprised the deviation of this Word. And I will not deviate from this Word if I got to die for It. I won't do it. I going to say it as the prophet said if it choked me. 56. Sure, remember there was a man called Achan, who got everything messed up for Israel. with his group. And what did Joshua say to that boy? He said, "Give God the glory and confess what you did." And the kid confessed what he did and they killed the whole bunch." [Joshua 7:25] Stick with this Word. Stick with this Word, it may cost you everything you've got. You may suffer and die for It, stick with It. There's a crown of glory waiting brother/sister. God give me strength to stay with this Word just the way it was taught. No matter what anybody says. Tear my name apart…I haven't got a name anyway. If you really knew about me, you hated me before I even let me come to your platform. So, I don't mind if I get hated afterwards. At least I got the first step on you. I’ve got no past, or present, or future to be proud of. No, not a thing. In fact, I'm amazed I even got so close to know the prophet. So, amazed become his friend. For it would be more amazing grace to be a friend of Jesus. 57. Now listen, here's what It said. [Titus 1:] (2) In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (3) But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, … Now, let me give you the actual literal translation of verse 3. (3) But in His own private and strategic season, He made known His Word in a proclamation with which I was entrusted in accordance with the command of God. Now, you'll find in 'Trying to do God a Service Without it Being God's Will' [65-11-27] on page 16, Bro. Branham talked about that. God has His times and season for a Message. Now, most people don't believe that. "Oh, I believe the whole Word of God." Oh, come on now, then why don't you build an ark and get ready for a flood? You say, "Bro. Vayle, that's been fulfilled." That's what I'm telling you. The Bible says, "The Word of God does not pass away until It be fulfilled." You'll never fulfill Isaiah 53: again. It's fulfilled, It's past away. And what is for your day? Now come on, what's for you day? It'll take a prophet to tell you. It'll take God to reveal it to you. It'll take God for His Own private and strategic season to give you His Word for that day. There's a Word for every Age. It's that manna, in that golden vessel behind the veil, the holy of holies, where the Shekinah glory shines upon the bread, the manna. 58. And the high priest once a year goes in. And every new high priest would go in there as Bro. Branham said, and take a little of that manna, and eat it, which never perished, but it was a different manna. Same manna, but a different piece. This Word of God for every Age. The Word of promise of this day. "Behold, I will send you Elijah, it shall be Light in the evening time." A great mystery, "We shall not all die, but we shall all be changed." [1 Corinthians 15:51] Now, God's promise for the last Age a complete revelation of His Word. As Bro. Branham said in ['The Spoken Word is the Original See' [62-03-18] And remember, he said, "I felt God made me write this." He took up his pen and as fast as he could write, here's what the Spirit of God said that this prophet would do: he would plant the seed of the entire Bible from the serpent, to the prophet in the former rain. He did it. He preached 'The Serpents Seed' [58-28-09], And then in 1965, July 25, he preached 'The Anointed Ones at the End Time' [ 65-25-07] which was the prophet in the former rain. Planting the seed of the entire Bible, opening the Seven Seals, bring forth the Seven Thunder mysteries, doing all those things. Just as It says Matthew 17:11. He'll correct the errors. And in Acts 3:20-26, yet, "He will restore all that was spoken by mouth of the holy prophets since the world began." [Acts 3:21] 59. Now listen, what was spoken by the mouth of all the holy prophets? The Word. And Who spoke It, the Holy Ghost. So, therefore, God by the Holy Ghost was going to bring the whole Word of God…God, into full view. The Jehovah of the Old Testament is Jesus of the New. And wrap it all up from end in sermons utterly. Amen, hallelujah. You know what? He did it. He did it. Now, this is for the Bride's sake. Why? Because she was the virgin to begin with. Now remember, I said already, the Bride of Jesus Christ is the Body of Jesus Christ. And Christ is Alpha and Omega. So therefore, He had to be at the end what He was at the beginning. Now, to Paul, He was the Pillar of Fire, (right?) the full revelation. So therefore, He had to come back as a Pillar of Fire with the full revelation again. Now, the Gentile Bride was a virgin to begin with, and she's Alpha, so therefore she must be Omega. So, once more she must be a virgin, and she is a virgin. Why? To the revealed Word of Almighty God at the end time. Because Bro. Branham said he was given the job to bring out a Bride and to clothe her. Is that, right? Now, what was his vision? He saw her at the beginning, he saw her at the end, and at the end she was just like she was at the beginning, and he put her in step. Right? And she went to glory. (Am I talking too fast, slow the tape down when you hear it.) You're all Canadians, you can understand fast…bless God after all I was born up here. Now, finally It will put her in the Rapture. It certainly will. It will put her in the Rapture, because all mysteries will be wound up and finished, perfected, finished, and the last mystery to happen in the Bride is putting on incorruptibility and immortality. 60. Now, you see brother/sister, what these mysteries are all about. What's so mysterious? It's the revealed Word of God coming down supernaturally from heaven, to a supernaturally gifted people, that they may know the things of Almighty God, and the rest of the world will never know them. Only you that are Bride. Remember, Bro. Branham said, "I do not call you church, I call you Bride." And what does it do with these people who say they're leading a Bride now? Don't look a Lee Vayle. He's the One that leading the Bride. How? By the Word. "Obey those who have the rule over you, who teach you the Word of God." [Hebrews 13:17b] What leads the congregation? The preacher? No, the Word. Did Bro. Branham lead it? No, not really, the Word. Who did he say Elijah was? The Lord Jesus Christ. That's right. He wasn't the Lord Jesus Christ, It was the Spirit that was the Lord Jesus Christ. That, would be Elijah. Why? Because that's the Spirit. Not a man, but It comes through a prophet. The Word of God defended by the prophet's spirit, not your spirit and my spirit. It doesn't come that way. Brother/sister, don't you see it? You're baptized with the Holy Ghost so that this man of God and the men of the Age could give you the Word. Not that you get the Word by yourself. The Word comes through these messengers. And You're given the Word, you notice, if you have the same Spirit in you to get the same Word, that they got. of Pentecost. Oh, George Fox appeared, and knew that. He said, "The trouble with the folk in Moses day was this: they never had the same spirit Moses had." If they'd have the same Spirit that Moses had, they’d take this one. You say, "Bro. Vayle you mean that Bro. Branham and I are one?" Certainly, you and he are one, you’d better be, he's one with Jesus Christ. We're one with Jesus Christ. Spirit of God given that we might know these mysteries. The Word of God that came down from heaven. "Oh, Bread of Life feed me till I walk no more. Feed me till I need no more." This Laodicean Church Age said, "We don't lack a thing. We don't need a thing, we've got it all, naked, miserable, naked, blind. But here we stand and say, "Feed me, Lord, feed me Lord." Every thought into captivity. Every desire… in the presence of Jesus Christ have His desire. Oh God, we don't want parts, we want it all Jesus. We want that perfect revelation. We want that perfect love. We want that perfect grace. We want that perfect mercy. We want perfection, Oh God, hasten the day when Christ comes down. Love each one. God is love comes in, sealing up every channel to us. Oh, until we're like Abraham. Word, Word, Word, then comes the Resurrection. God bless you. You follow me now? 62. Let's just stand a second. The apostle Paul said he stood in jeopardy every hour of his life, because of the Word of God that he preached. They crucified Jesus Christ, not because of the things that he did, because what He taught. Brother/sister, we are standing in jeopardy. We don't realize it right now, because things seem pretty distant. But, you know as well as I do, the prophet said he dare not tell us those things coming upon the earth, because it would cause too much consternation. There are many things coming upon this earth, of which I believe the worst of all is when people all go insane. The will all go insane, they're going insane now. And except Jesus Christ taketh away, we will be all murdered, or something happen to us. Now, even before this occurs, (the going away) there could be much fall upon us. May we pray daily to be fortified in Jesus Christ. To stand with this Word, whereby we worship Christ. And their called heresy, and are called hated. And hated by the devil, though we be so few, we're nothing but a drop in a bucket, we're hated. And one day that pressure is going to come brother/sister. Maybe got it by nerves, but one day it's going to come. Oh God, I don't know how I'm going to act, but God help me to act like a real Christian of Jesus Christ. Living, living. Dying, dying. Stand up with that Word. Heavenly Father, we thank You now Lord Jesus Christ, that You privileged us to be able to see this film tonight, 'Twentieth Century Prophet'. To see the man that we talked about, had this great vindication. Who could stand before the people, and say bring me you worst cripples, I guarantee healing. And then when they didn't do it, he healed multitudes more than they turned down, and still they didn't understand who was here. O God, Father, how can we disbelieve? Jesus, purify every mind here. Purify mine, Lord. I know these folk, are anxious and so am I, Lord. We're all anxious tonight. O God, purify us of dross. Cast out every thought that's evil. Take away every foreign word. Give us love, O God… [tape ends here for transcribing] Destroyed by Wisdom (0971) Page PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 26
