The Day of the Lord - Master Husband # 4
Bro. Lee Vayle - August 14, 1983
Let's pray, Heavenly Father, we're very grateful again to know that we
have this privilege coming unhindered to the place that You provided for
us, and hopefully it's sanctified entirely unto You, Lord, to the power
of the Word of Yourself, and we do appreciate that. Appreciate the fact
that the Word is coming more and more in manifestation in human flesh
which will be glorified will soon be here, Lord, that great day when all
sorrows and sin are banished and everything will have come to that
complete place of perfection; which we have longed for, and we know it's
ours today through the grace that was extended to us a long time ago and
through the fact that You have proven that this is that hour to receive
It.
We appreciate that, Lord, we just pray you'll help us now in the
mediation of Your Word, may we be able to cover those things with the
understanding the people involved, and get on, Lord, with further
subjects that You have for us in Jesus' Name we pray. Amen. You may be
seated.
[Bro. Vayle dedicates a baby]
1. So anyway, we're looking over here in the Book of Revelation on the
'Day of the Lord' the Day of the Master, the Day of the Husband, and
because it's all one and the same thing. And we got to reading over here
in Revelation 1:10.
(10) I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a
great voice, as of a trumpet,
Verse 12.
(12) …I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being
turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
(13) And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son
of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about
the (breasts) with a golden girdle.
(14) His head and his hair white like wool, as white as snow; eyes
were as a flame of fire;
(15) And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a
furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
(16) And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth
went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun
shineth in his strength.
(17) And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his
right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and
the last:
(18) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for
evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death.
Now, you notice in there that in verse 10, "I was in the Spirit on the
Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet."
Now, you can see here that we brought out that in the marginal
notation, "I was in the Spirit, I became to be in the Spirit," is what
he said. And when he came to be in the Spirit he looked down through two
thousand years to the point where we are at today. And, this then is the
Spirit of the hour that we are to be in. Which is the Spirit for this
age it's the Spirit of the revelation of the knowledge of Him.
2. Now, the first verse says, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God
gave unto him." [Rev 1:] Then It tells us very basically, very tersely
here, that God actually gave a revelation to Jesus Christ concerning
Jesus Christ Himself. Now, this revelation is passed on to us through
the written Word, and It's the same thing that we found over here in
Ephesians 1. And notice exactly those words to the Ephesian Church, the
one that was right in the sight of God with perfect knowledge,
revelation and they were walking with the Lord.
And Paul said here: [Ephesians 1:16]
(16) (I) cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in
my prayers;
(17) That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may
give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge
of him:
The knowledge of whom? Now, you see, it's the same knowledge that's
here at the end-time, this is to take place two thousand years after
Paul said it, this takes place about two thousand years (within that
scope) of when John said it. It's the One and the same Spirit. So,
you're in the Spirit of the end-time of the revelation which God is
giving concerning this Day of the Lord. What is obtaining, who is
paramount, what is going on in heavens and in earth, and in the Bride.
3. All right:
(17) …the revelation in the knowledge of him.
(18) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that (you) may
know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the
glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Now, you notice that there are certain portion of Scripture in Hebrews
that Paul brings out that God spake concerning Jesus. "This day have I
begotten thee." And again, "Thou shalt be to Me a son, and I'll be to
you a Father." And again It mentions that He's the first begotten from
amongst the dead. "Thou art forever a priest after the order of
Melchisedec."
You see, you can't deny that there are certain things that God said
concerning His Son who would be manifested in human flesh, and then
brought into glory as our High Priest who would later become Kings of
the earth and making us with Him a kingdom of priests. So, this is the
hour of a spiritual revelation that has been set forth in the Word, but
It has not revealed and is being revealed at this hour.
4. Now, you notice that John got into the spirit (see?) of this day.
Now, I realize that when you are talking in this order concerning that
John became in the Spirit to this day, you could sit back and say,
"Well, merely God put him in the Spirit and He was able to look down
the corridors of time and He spotted this particular area." Now, I don't
believe that. Now, that's true, but I don't believe it. Because, I'll
tell you why: The Book of Ephesians which has the same portion of
Scripture in a minuscule form says over here in Ephesians 4:4…
(4) There is one body, and one Spirit, even as (you) are called in
one hope of your (one) calling; (Now, it doesn't mean there's not
many members, it's only one way God can do anything.)
(5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
(6) One God and Father (above) all, (of all) who is above all, and
through all, and in you all.
Now remember, he's talking about God through the whole thing. And
remember, Jesus enters into the picture after God, because he has a
beginning. You follow? See, we're not Jesus-Only. We got to keep
everything right here. Now:
(7) But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure
of the gift of Christ. (Now, watch Christ enter in. Now let's keep
watching.)
(8) Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity
captive, and gave gifts unto men.
(9) Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first
into the lower parts of the earth?
All right, It tells you that categorically that the One that went up,
was the One that went down into hell, (right?) went down there liberated
the people, identified Himself to upper Sheol and lower Sheol, brought
them out. See? Now He took them up.
5. All right:
(10) He that descended is the same (that descended)…
Well, It tells you the One that went up came back. Now how did He come
back? As the Holy Spirit. Bro. Branham said, "God raised the body as a
memorial, and He's no longer in the form of human flesh. We don't know
Him after the flesh, we know Him after the Spirit."
Paul said, "Now henceforth know we no man after the flesh, yea, though
we have known Christ after the flesh, now henceforth we know him no
more." [2 Cor 5:16] So, you've got to know Him according the Spirit of
God which is in a measure in every age according to the Word.
6. Now, I'm leading you to something, so just keep hanging in there.
Now:
(10) He that descended is the same (one that went) up…(and He's
doing it) that he might fill all things.)
Well, there was something that He couldn't do here when he was in the
form of a human being that He's got to do now that He's in the form of
the Holy Spirit, in the Pillar of Fire, also in the form of the
miniscule baptism with the Holy Ghost, coming to the time when He'll
reincarnate Himself and take over again in another measure. (Now, I hope
you're listening carefully and catch what I'm saying. Just you keep
those thoughts in mind and I'll help you out.)
Now:
(11) …he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some,
evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
(12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry,
for the edifying of (building up) the body of Christ:
(13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge
of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the
stature of the fulness of Christ:
Now, he tells you that's the same thing right in there that we're going
to in Ephesians 1:15-23, that Spirit coming into the Church. See? Now
watch: it's all a spiritual function.
7. [Ephesians 4:14]
(14) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and
carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men,
and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Now, It tells you there's coming a time when there's going to be a Word
perfect Bride on earth, period! And that absolutely is not going to be
simply a resurrected group, it's going to include a group previous to
that resurrection. Because, she's going to be one with that Word. Now,
it can't be otherwise. Now:
(15) But (holding) the truth in love, may grow up into him in all
things, which is the head, even Christ:
(16) From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by
that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working
in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the
edifying of itself in love.
Now, It tells you right here, that through Seven Church Ages what came
down from the Head Who is the Word, (see?) has come down in a measure in
every Age, and that Church is becoming. The Church is in the process of
becoming. See?
Now, enter the becoming, it comes right to the place where there can be
Christ Himself the Holy Spirit everything giving way to Him personally,
(the Holy Spirit) then the Bride formed up to the very peak of a human
instrument, or body, so there's just room for the Head which is one man,
which is God Himself incarnated.
8. Now, John was becoming. He stands representing the Church that the
Church has been becoming to this Age. In other words, look, every Age
has a distinct spirit. The Seven Spirits before the Throne. The seven
eyes. The seven burning lamps. It's all the same thing. See? And each
Age the Church with that Spirit is the duplication, or the body, or the
bulwark, the army of the Lord. Now, it doesn't look too good in spots,
but that's alright. See?
Now, the church fell on the ground in the Roman Catholic era of the
dark ages. And she started to come out under Luther. And if you check
your Church Ages you'll find that every Age had a spirit. And it was
under Luther the spirit of justification. Oh my, it set him on fire. It
set him on fire.
Now, I know people misunderstand Bro. Branham's statement on
intellectuals cannot apprehend this Word because it's a revelation. Well
then you've got to get rid of Paul and throw your Bible in a gutter and
spit on it, because he was an intellectual. But, He let His
intellectual's go. Now, the people who quote Bro. Branham don't
understand Bro. Branham said, "Let your intellectual's go." He said, "I
don't put a premium on ignorance, but it seems a lot of people do."
Now, if I'm talking to idiots this morning you're excused. The babies
are excused, because I refuse to lower myself to be a gibbering idiot. I
can't talk to the insane and idiots, I'm talking to intelligent people
am I not?
9. All right, then Luther was one of the smartest men who ever lived.
Brilliant, and so was Wesley. Pentecost produced the do-do's. You know
why? They went for emotion, and they bypassed the Word of God entirely.
The Pentecostal movement is based upon a man named Charles Parham
[1873-1929] who butted his nose in and said to a couple of young men, "I
want you to find out what the evidence of the baptism with the Holy
Ghost is." And they took the historical Book which is Acts, (not the
doctrinal books,) and they came up with the historical way the Holy
Ghost fell, and they said, "You got to speak with tongues." You don't
got to speak with tongues. I wish everybody did. I'm like Paul, I wish
everyone of us did. [1 Cor 14:5a] But, that's no evidence of the Holy
Ghost, that's a gift.
All right listen, under Luther there was a spirit of justification. And
when they found out that you were not saved through a pope and a
hierarchy, and you were not justified by works, or by grace, it blew the
lid off. They went insane as it were almost, they were so deliriously
happy they started coming out of the grave. Now they went to seed.
Wesley came by and that was a spirit. And Pentecost came by and that
was a spirit. That was part of the move of 'the seven'. But listen,
justification gives way to sanctification. Sanctification gives way to
the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost gives
way to the Holy Ghost Himself.
10. Now, we are under the Spirit of the Eagle, which is revelation.
Which is the hour of deliverance, which is the hour of the Master, which
is the hour of the Day of the Lord, which is the Day of the Husband.
(See?) Which is the Day of the Head wherein all pre-eminence lies,
because we're aiming at pre-eminence.
Now, what's the most valued part of you? "Oh," you say, "I think my
eyes." Come on, don't be silly, it's your head. It's your brain. What if
you had the smartest and nicest looking man in all the world, and he's a
dithering idiot? [makes blabbering sounds] Oh, what is it? You lose your
mind you've lost everything. What if you had a fellow that could
pole-vault twenty feet and he's an idiot, and you turned him loose?
That's just about the time you'd crawl under the bar. You can't win with
idiots. You can't win with the mental incompetent. You can't win with
the sick. Neither can you have a thing to do with this age, unless your
mind is renewed. And God is not collecting idiots, or the infirm of
mind, He is not invading the institution where the insane are, and
trying to teach them doctrine. He can't even teach babies doctrine, and
babies are sponges.
How would you like to live in Europe, which would be nice if we all
did? Like someplace like Switzerland and our kids learning automatically
English, French, German, Italian, Romance, five languages. Little
sponges. And you and I got a job saying, "Parlez-vous francais?" And we
say it wrong. I had three years of French, phooey! Little sponges. Now,
except you become as little children, as a sponge who doesn't have any
learning, you're never going to see the kingdom.
11. Now, we are in an hour of the Spirit of His Day. And people say,
when I say, "He is here."
They say, "So what! What are you trying to tell me?" You're not in the
spirit. I'll tell you what, you're back in Pentecost, because that's the
only place you can be.
"Oh," you say, "Bro. Vayle, I'm a Methodist," or Baptist. Come on, they
went out of existence years ago. They've been dead for a hundred years.
Right. All you see today anywhere is a bunch of foolish virgins trying
to get the oil, and they can't get it. They're into the spirit of gifts
which is Pentecostal. This is the hour of the Spirit of God revealing
His Presence, revealing Himself as the Capstone come down and taking
authority over the Church in order to raise the dead. Where He comes
down and gives the revelation of Himself.
Now listen, that's what this 'Day' is all about. The references of the
Lamb are almost universal, if not entirely universal in the Book of
Revelation concerning the fact He is taking His great power to reign.
(See?) You're looking at a 'fait accompli'. The thing done. The Book of
Redemption opened, Him coming to claim His Own.
Now, what does a Bible say? It says, "At the end time the spirit of
revelation will be in the Church." [Eph 1:17] It's a spirit of
revelation. Now, the point is, Bro. Branham categorically said, and
everybody misses it, because he said, "You go to a ball game, you get in
the spirit of it."
12. Now…you know, I'll tell you something: it's hard for me to
understand certain things, because I'm a certain way. Now, maybe
somebody here can understand. I think maybe my wife can, because she
nursed alcoholics. One of the strangest sights in all my life I was
picked up hitch-hiking in Canada many years ago, and I got inadvertently
picked up by a couple of really nice guys that were alcoholics.
Now listen, if you're a worldly man, come on, only worldly man sitting
here, either you're very, very worldly, and you're very, very virile,
what do you talk about? Women. These guys didn't have a bit of time for
women. They were talking going to their hotel room and breaking a bottle
and drinking. And you could just feel the atmosphere, the spirit, [makes
a tasting sound] slurp, slurp, slurp. And I thought, merciful God, how
can a person love a bottle, more than a woman anyway? [loud laughter]
Look, if I'm going to get into sin, I'm going get into what is naturally
inherit in me. I've got no booze inherit in me. And they talked about
that bottle in a way that was human. Then another alcoholic, he tried to
break out, but he evidently he couldn't trust God like some of our good
brothers can trust God around the world. He could never break out of it.
And he just longed to get in there. Spirit. Some people…same with
cigarettes.
13. All right, cocktail parties, that go to your booze parties. That go
to your alcoholic. Anybody see "The Lost Weekend' with Ray Milland, 'The
Lost Weekend'? Get it sometime and see it. Get it sometime. It won't
hurt you. It'll show you what booze does. They hide it [bottle] in the
chandelier. Well listen, if you get a booze artist in your home and he
can't get any money to get booze on, and he gets invited in your home,
you watch out, he'll go right to your shaving cabinet and drink your bay
rum. He'll slug down shoe polish. Yep, as long as it's got some
alcoholic content, or some kind of a thing to give him a binge. See,
there's a spirit.
Now, I brought this out very flat to let you know the prophet said.
Because, many people don't realize there's a spirit with this too. He's
here! "So what, He's always been here." Oh no, not like He's here now.
There's a spirit in there that's so strong that I can just sit and
suddenly begin thinking, and it seems like my spirit's way out there,
somewhere out there in the prairie. It's not with me anymore, it's
joining forces out there. It's looking for reality beyond the 'Curtain
of Time'. Where does it come from? I never asked for It. It was already
here in the Word of God. See?
John was in the Spirit. He got into the Spirit of this hour. (See?) And
he wrote a Book on It. But, what he got into was temporary, because it
was only a prophecy. Today It is not a prophecy. I'll show you: Bro.
Branham said, "When God said, 'Let there be light', (he said) that was
the Word. But the minute that light came it was no longer a Word." This
was a prophecy, it is no longer a prophecy. It is the Day of the Lord we
are into. It is this hour we are into. See?
Now, it is not just the hour of the Lamb as though we would look back
for Seven Church Ages, (although we can, and we do) it is the hour of
the Lamb in which His services are fast being terminated as Mediator and
Intercessor. That which brings us in, and keeps us in. And in there we
see Him going to the peak of His great and wonderful and majestic
ministry.
14. Now, let's just get over here and take a look at what's in the
Spirit. Now, John is caught up in chapter 4, showing that this spirit
that is becoming has come to the place of arrival. Now watch, John goes
right to the end. Now he says: let's go to chapter 2 first of all of
Revelation.
(1) Unto the (messenger) of the church (which is in) Ephesus write;
These things (said) he that (holds) the seven stars in his right
hand, (walk) in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
(2) I know (your) works…
And then in verse 7,
(7) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit (said to) the
churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of
life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Now, you notice in here the one that is in the midst of the seven
golden candlesticks is giving a message pertinent to the hour of age
number one concerning them. Age number two is the same. The Spirit is
giving It through a messenger. But, at the end of the Seven Church Age,
when there's no further messages, time has run out. He Himself is being
revealed. So, you see when I showed you in Ephesians, becoming, we are
coming up, up, up, up, up, until there's nothing left, except Him. See?
So therefore, He is to be revealed.
Now It says, "God gave this revelation unto Jesus the Christ." [Rev
1:1a] Like, "Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten thee? Thou shalt
be to Me a Son, and I should be to thee a Father." [Heb 1:5] To which of
His angels He says, "Sit thou at my right hand?" [Mt 22:44] And again to
the Son He said, "Thou art a priest after the order of Melchiedec." [Heb
7:17] See? All things are put under your feet, I'm going to put them
under your feet. All right, come on. There's a revelation given to him
right here. Now he said, "This concerns what's down the road, and it is
down the road.
15. All right, let's go to Revelation 5.
(1) And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book
written within, (without)… (so, the Book is entirely written.)
No room for anybody, (now listen) there's no room in the manuscript,
which is a scroll of the Bible. There's no room to write anything unless
you write over something, or erase something, and then write it in. And
furthermore, you can't do it, because not only are both sides entirely
written upon, but they're sealed with Seven Seals. Which means, until
the Seventh Church Age, the Seventh Seal itself, and the Seven Thunders
coming forth. There is no way the Book gets unsealed. Now, come on, John
went through Four Church Ages. Make Seven Church Ages: One, two, three,
four, five six, seven and two chapters. End of the third chapter he gets
caught up.
Now, he says here, this manuscript:
(2) And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is
worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
Alright, there's something closed up. Now It says, "Who's going to open
It? Well, he said:
(4) I wept much, because (there wasn't any) man (in heaven, in
earth, or under the earth, or any man (now, the secret is man) to
open the book…
(5) And (well, while I was weeping) the elders (said), Weep not
(John) the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, (has)
prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
(Even to loose the seven seals.)
You can't open the book unless the Seven Seals are opened. And some
people today say, "Well, you see Bro. Vayle, the Seven Seal hasn't been
taken off the Book, then the Book is closed."
Now, as I told you, I'm not preaching to, to people that I consider
have…well, you know, what I said already. So, let's put it right where
it is. And I make no apology for my punches. I'm sorry, but I don’t.
Now, if the people perish for lack of knowledge of the Most High, they
perish for lack of knowledge and that's true and for correction. You
cannot correct a mentally idiot person. And you better be careful how
you try to correct a baby, because you just hurt the poor thing, he
doesn't understand. See? Now, we're talking about a spiritual revelation
that's given to anybody and everybody that's Bride.
Now, he said right here, the Seal is going to be ripped off.
(6) And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne, the four
beasts, in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been
slain…
16. Now, you notice it's been the same One that came down, that opened
the Book in Isaiah 61. Let's go back to Isaiah 61.
(1) The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath
anointed me to preach good tidings (to) the meek; he hath sent me
to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives,
the opening of the prison to them that are (blind);
(2) To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD… (and he sat down,
and he closed the book, [Lk 4:20] and the Book cannot be opened
until He gets up and takes It again to proclaim) the day of (the)
vengeance of our God; (and) comfort (those) that (are) mourn;
A twofold effect at the end-time. Judgment unto Eternal Life, and
judgment to destitution and chaos, the Great Tribulation and perhaps to
the Lake of Fire. Right.
(3) To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion… (that's the Bride,
she's Zion.)
You know, I've been telling you people all the time that Zion is the
Bride, Bro. Branham said so. Oh, I don't worry anymore what he said, I
just know what he said, because when you get in the Word here, that's
all you know is the Word anyway. I don't disregard Bro. Branham you can
tell it, because we're going to take every Wednesday night I don't know
for I don't know for how long. Sermon after sermon here, I get too much
enjoyment. I'd sooner listen to him, than listen to myself. All right
(3) …(the) trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD…(the
Bride tree coming back, (see?) the waste places, the earth built
up again. So all these things.)
All right, now, He took the Book out of the right hand of Him that sat
upon the Throne. Now, what's He going to do? He's going to loose those
Seals. The One that's responsible for the Church, gets her in, keeps her
in, her surety, the Bridegroom standing for the Bride. The Husband
being a covert [shelter] and a cover for the Bride. That's exactly why
it was that Ruth threw her skirt over the feet of Boaz. She said,
"You're standing for me, you're my kinsmen redeemer. The way you goes,
the way I go."
17. So alright, He came and took the Book. What did He do? Let's find
out. [Revelation 5:]
(8) And when he (took) the book, the four beasts and four and twenty
elders fell down before the Lamb, every one (having) harps, and
golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of (the) saints.
(9) And they sung a new song, Thou art worthy to (open) the book, and
to (loose) the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast
redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue,
and people, and nation;
Now, that was done at that time in vision. Were the Seals actually
ripped off at that time? No, they weren't ripped off at that time. He
was in the spirit and he got in the Spirit, and he saw Him standing
there, and he said, "What is going on?" The Seven Church Ages flittered
down before him, because God didn't take Him from A to Z without going
to B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M and so on. And what's in between A
and Z? The Seven Church Ages (see?) to the Gentiles.
All right, so He takes him down now to the end. So he rapidly goes
through Seven Church Ages. Zap, zap, zap. And when he comes to the end
you come to Him from which all came down in the first place. Now, what
came down from what? Jesus came from God. Oh, yes He did. "In the
beginning the Word was with God, and the Word was God." [Jn 1:1] "I came
out of the Father, and I'm going back to the Father, right in the
bosom." [Jn 16:28]
All right then, what's going to come down? God Himself is going to come
on down, because that's where It all started from. Well, come on, let me
see if I'm telling the truth or not. (I don't know, maybe I'm telling
you a lie. I could tell people lies very easy and not even know I'm
lying to them. But, I pretty sure I'm not telling you a lie in this one
here, because I just said it a while ago.)
18. Notice: [Romans 3:]
(4) There is one body, one Spirit, (you can) called in one hope of
your calling;
(5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
(6) One God and Father of all…
So, we got one God and Father of all, what's going to come down? God
and Father of all. Why? Because, He's the God of the Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of glory. All came from Him in the first place.
Then, how is the Son going to be placed at the Head? Through the
Father. Well, didn't the Father give Him a Bride? Come on, who gave Adam
his bride? God did. I'm going to tell you one thing, there's not going
to be any messed up marriage with this One. Oh, praise the Lord. Our
marriage has never been messed up, we've got a good marriage because
she's a good kid. And I keep telling you, the French got a good word for
it; to make a good marriage one must have the tremendous infinite
capacity to love. That's my wife. And the other must have a tremendous
infinite capacity to be loved. That's me. [laughter] That's the way the
Bride and Groom is. He's got the infinite capacity to love. Why, look
it, if we really are Bride, you better look at yourself in the mirror
sometime in a three way mirror, and a four way mirror and you'll go into
convulsion. But remember, He loves you. Say, "Could God love a nose like
that?" Oh yeah. [laughter] Could God love feet like that? Oh yeah. (Oh
yeah, yeah, yeah.) No problem. (Shooo, man that's good, eh? That's very
good.) Okay, It tells you right there, It comes from Him.
19. All right, now listen: God giving the revelation. Here's the
revelation, and he said, He looked down there and he saw the Seals
opened, and he saw "the redeemed blood-bought of every tongue and people
and nation." [Rev 5:9b] Some people have different tongues. Switzerland,
German, French, Italian, and some Romance. Mostly number three. Some
English, but not so much. See?
Okay: [Romans 5:]
(10) And hast made us unto our God (a kingdom of) priests: and we
shall reign on the earth.
(11) And I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne the
beasts and the elders: the number of them was ten thousand times
ten thousand, thousands, thousands;
(12) Saying, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power,
riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and
blessing.
(13) And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and
under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in
them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power,
be unto him that (sits) upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for
ever.
When those Seals were ripped off a Shout went up which would take in
those that are there, and the prefigure of those who are going there.
Because, believe me when we all get together what a time it's going to
be to glorify the Lamb that died and rose and took the Seals off the
Book.
Now, you say, "Just a minute, I kind of believe somewhere in there that
I just don't know that there should be a Book that's sealed up, and I
don't know if these things got to come out." Well, I'm glad that you
don't know, it shows you're ignorant. "Of what?" Revelation.
Now, I'm telling you, so you open your minds and say, "Oh say, that's
fine. That's fine." Then there's got to be something come forth. "Why
does it got to come forth?" It's got to get you to the Tree of Life.
It's got to get a Bride off this earth that doesn't die.
See, there's something in here that has got to be loosed, which though
paid for by the Blood has not been loosed. "Aw, what hasn't been
cornered?" Death has not been cornered. "It's appointed unto man once to
die, then afterward the judgment." [Heb 9:27] Now hold it, that's
abrogated when death is set aside temporarily, because there's a Bride
that will not die. And she will not be judged, she'll be taken right in.
20. Okay, so what you're looking at here is the Day of the Lord. You're
looking at this hour, and there is a spirit attached to it. Now, if you
get right into the spirit of this hour, let's look at It again, the Book
of Ephesians 1. [paraphrased]
"You that are full of the Holy Ghost, (said Paul,) you that are sealed
unto the day of redemption. You that are the purchased possession
under the praise of His glory. You that are going to be gathered
with those in heaven and all of earth through all ages; has His
great inheritance as the great family of God. You that were sealed
in, (he said) I'm praying. I cease not to give thanks for you. And I
pray for you all the time. The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father
of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in
the knowledge of Him."
Now, where did Jesus get His revelation? From God! Where do you get
yours? God! "For no man knows the things of God save the Spirit of God."
[1 Cor 2:11]
21. Now then, who is going to bring the revelation? God! Why? Because,
He gave it in the first place. "You mean to say, that this is a
different revelation from the Book of Revelation?" Hogwash! You'll be
believing in three gods pretty soon, or half a dozen. You'll believe in
five or six bibles pretty soon, there's one Bible. Paul was caught up
and he saw things that he couldn't utter. And John was caught up and he
saw the things that he could utter. And then he heard some things that
he couldn't utter. Yeah. What couldn't he utter? He couldn't utter the
great mysteries of the end-hour. He couldn't delineate upon those
mysteries that God said were to remain there.
And one of the great mysteries is the 'Rapture'. (Yeah) And if you dare
(and I don't care if I repeat myself,) I'm going to repeat myself until
you get the understanding, we are in the Day of the Lord, and there's a
Spirit to It. And if you're not in that Spirit, you're not in the ball
game.
Haw, you go to a ball game, those who are pulling for one team and
those another. And pretty soon a fellow with an expensive hat falls
down, the first thing he sits on it, what does he care. He gets mad and
just kicks it down out, because he's fighting for the team. Another sees
a guy fighting he throws a beer bottle at him. Oh, they're in the spirit
alright. [laughter]
22. You say, "Bro. Vayle, are you trying to suggest that when we have
trouble at this hour that we might throw a couple of those beer bottles
spiritually?" I wasn't suggesting that. [laughter] No! But, I'm going to
tell you something in you doesn't rise up against the perfidy
[treachery] of the denial of who and what and where He is, there's
something wrong with your spirit. You've flunked out, you've flunked
your test as far as I'm concerned. Now, I'm not saying start a fight.
No, no, no, but I'm telling you this: Paul stood in defense of the
Gospel, and he said, "I'm criticized for the Resurrection." He said,
"Let me preach at you the way It is."
"Oh," they said, "now, Paul baby, don't you know that you'll cause a
ripple in our church, and our people get along just so good. Why don't
you just play that down and move on, and we'll all be brothers?"
And he said, "What are you talking about?" He said, "I withstood Peter
in his face." He said, "The guy that had the keys to open the church to
both Gentile and Jews." He said, "I shucked off Barnabas for being
carried away to be circumcised," when he said, "that's out, nah-phooh,
finished, taboo." Now, he said, "I’m supposed to…?" Now, look it,
come on, you don't expect like me to simmer down? Under six feet of
dirt, yeah. Yeah.
23. "Why," he said, "God is going to give this revelation." Now look,
under the lion, they went out as lions with the Word of God, Leo. When
the hour of tribulation set in, the calf came on the scene which is
sacrificial; and the church as Bro. Branham correctly said, "they wanted
to die as martyrs." Oh yes, I told you how I stood on that bridge in
Bruze, the bridge is over the canal it's another Venice. It's not, I
supposed it's beautiful, but I don't know, it's alright by me. It's a
lovely little town. Stood on the bridge where they hacked the martyr's
heads off, and the heads and the blood rolled in the water. The only
picture that didn’t turn out, or they swiped on me. The one picture we
wanted. I don't think the devil wanted me to stand where the martyrs
stood. At least have my picture. Stood on Mars Hill, that was fine, Paul
was there. But these martyrs, okay.
They were happy to be martyrs as one woman witnessing, she could have
saved herself by even leaving the town I suppose, which may she should
have done. But, they brought her in and they said, "Now, just a minute,
(he said) aren't you saying so and so?"
She said, "I certainly am."
"Well, don't you know if you recant and say so and so, we'll save your
life."
She said, "Why should I save my life, He gave His life for me." She
said, "He did it, I'll do it too."
Man, they burned them at the stake and they stood there. They put them
in leather bags and gunny-sacks full of snakes and threw them in the
water. They said, "Hallelujah." Man, that scares you. They got in the
spirit. See?
24. Then the face of a man came. That was the age when brilliant men
were in the pulpits. Sheer brilliance, and I supposed God looked down
and He said, "Luther my son, the devil pulled a little trick on Me here,
I really gave you an IQ of 59, but I see you've got an IQ of 186. Now,
unless we drop something on your head like several coconuts that'll jar
your brains and your teeth means I can't do a thing for you."
I'm going to tell you something: has anybody ever read any of Luther's
sermons? Let me see your hands. Have you ever read them, any of them?
Look, there's a bunch of books around here are mine. I'm going to tell
you, I admire Luther as I admire no man that ever lived when it came to
theology under the face of a man. And if you want to read the other
history and get my books too, (if there not at home, I'll bring it down)
and you read Justin Martyr [100AD - 165AD] and I admire him even far
above Irenaeus. Now, don't think Irenaeus wasn't pedantic my brother, my
sister, he was very, very erudite. And a pedantic person is one who
makes an ostentatious display of erudition. [laughter] Oh yes, I learned
that when I was only twenty years old. I kept in my mind for forty nine
solid years. Seven, sevens, say, how about that, eh? Touché. Yeah.
Brilliant men.
25. Who can compare with Joseph Parker? Or a [Charles] Spurgeon? (Yeah)
Who can compare to a [James] Strong the theologian? Who can compare to a
Finney who was a lawyer, or Schofield who was a lawyer? Who can compare
to a Moorhead, and these great men of old? Under the same time, who
could compare to an Evan Roberts, a simple man of the field? Who
compares to John Wesley who studied the Greek and his New Testament is a
thing of beauty? And he himself, though brilliant, was a horrible
preacher. Yeah, as a theologian he was almost mindless. But, he had a
spirit that moved men by the hundreds of thousands, and moved men and
kept men with God.
And William Branham came on the scene with the spirit of the Eagle. And
he said, "Yes, I don't have any education past the seventh grade." And
he very snidely and beautifully said, "But, don't think I don't know
what's in them Books." Hallelujah. William Branham never put a price on
ignorance as though it was something. But, William Branham has to go the
way of the prophet, which meant one thing, he had to get rid of his
thinking and get the thinking of God.
26. Now, we are in the Spirit of revelation of this hour. We are in the
realm of the prophetic Spirit of the Eagle. Then where is the revelation
if we're going to build on all the old junk? It went to seed from the
mind of a man.
Now listen, what Luther had was right. And believe me it was right.
What Wesley had was right, and it was right. Don't believe this stuff
the Nazarenes' teach about their sanctification. Haw, I read Wesley's
book on it, he doesn't say what they say, anymore than the Lutheran's
say what Luther said. And anymore than most of us Branhamites say
Branham said too. Let's get right down to nitty-gritty.
I'm sorry, but you might as well…I let the cat out of the bag a long
time ago, and it turned into a jungle cat. So that's it. I quote you
where Bro. Branham said, "Lord, don't let this be a cult." Then he sadly
said, "But it will be." (Oh yeah.)
The Spirit of the hour is the Day of the Lord. It is seeing Him coming
glorified. It is seeing Him as the Head of the Church. It is seeing Him
as the Head of the Bride. It's seeing Him in this tremendous day that is
upon us.
27. All right, I'm back in Revelation 5, and I read It. Now, let's go to
Revelation 6:14.
(14) …the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together;
every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
(15) …the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men,
and the chief captains, the mighty men, every bondman, every free
man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
(16) (Saying) to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us
from the face of him that (sits upon) the throne, and from the
wrath of the Lamb.
(17) For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to
(abide?) (That's the Day of the Lord.)
Now, hold it, let's go back to the Day of the Lord for you and me,
that's for the world. Now, here's the day for you and me, verse 7, of
chapter 5.
(7) And (the Lamb) came and took the book out of the right hand of
him hat sat upon the throne.
(8) And…the four beasts and (twenty four) elders (saw what the)
Lamb (had done, they) fell down before the Lamb, having every one
(having) harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the
prayers of saints.
(9) …they sung a new song, saying, (You're) worthy to take the
book, and open the seals thereof…(the) redeemed (the trust of)
God by thy blood out of every kindred, tongue, and(nation and
people; (and so on.)
(10) And made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign
on the earth.
Now listen, I'm going to tell you something: that takes care of us.
That takes care of us. We're done took care of. What's the next thing?
28. Let's find out, let's go to Malachi 4:1. (Now, we just got to put
the Scripture together, and nothing's too hard if you just let It run
together.) All right:
(1) For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all
the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and
the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts,
(it'll) leave neither root nor branch.
(2) But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness
arise with healing in his wings; and (you'll) go forth, and grow up
as calves of the stall.
(3) (You) shall tread down the wicked; (there'll) be ashes under your
feet in the day that I shall do this,… (What day? The Day of the
Lord.)
Hey, you know something? The Day of the Lord is God in a Pillar of Fire
coming down as pertaining us I'm talking about. As pertaining us, the
Day of the Lord, is God coming down in a Pillar of Fire dealing with the
prophet, with the Seven Seals opened, the Thunders on earth, the whole
thing revealed, (He revealed,) we see the whole plan and we get
glorified, and away we go to the Marriage Supper. Then wham, comes the
tares that are already bundled into the Word Council of Churches for the
burning.
29. Now, why is there more said about the Day of the Lord being wrath
and vengeance then there is for the virtue of grace? Because we've had
two thousand years of virtue and grace. This is just the tail end. This
is the wind up. And the prophet said, "Little Bride," he said, "you're
exonerated. Why," he said, "you're the virtuous spotless Bride of the
Lord Jesus Christ."
You say, "Hey, hey, hey, now hold it." You look around and say, "Who's
he talking about? [Laughter] Who's he talking about?" Ever been
someplace where someone was going to do something nice and they looked
at you and you thought, no, they can't be looking at me and pointing and
say, "No, I mean you, you the guy that turned around."
"You mean me?" [makes noises] I like surprises, that is the right kind.
Bro. Branham said, "The harlot she'd be really surprised to get there,
because she knew she's knew she's going to the other place." But she
said, "These people that call themselves Christians and turn down the
Word of the Living God," he said, "they're going to be surprised because
they think they're going to make it." But they're going to be in the
other place.
Now remember, the Bible distinctly says that "the prostitutes and the
publicans go in ahead of the church member." [Mt 31:21] I don't care
what you talk about brother/sister, if you aren't part of It, you're
never going to make it. "What will we do?"
You can separate yourself all you want, but I'm going to tell you
something: I'm never the wheat separated itself yet. I saw the farmer
separate it. I see the a fan is in His hand, thoroughly separating chaff
from wheat. And I see the chaff screaming that it's the wheat, but it's
not the wheat. No way near it. Now, this is the Day of the Lord that he
saw.
30. Okay, let's go back again to the Book of Revelation. We're back
there in chapter 6 weren't we? That was taken from chapter 5, now you're
back under the Seals, the Sixth Seal. The great Day of the Lord, and who
can stand it?
All right, let's get over here to Revelation 19:7.
(7) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the
marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Now, she's making herself ready. How can any bride make herself ready?
Oh, only with what's been given her. See? All right:
(8) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen,
clean and white: the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
(9) And he saith unto me, Blessed are they (that) are called unto the
marriage supper of the Lamb. And he (said) unto me, These are the
true sayings of God.
All right, see, you got wrath and you got joy.
31. Now, let's go back to Matthew 25: All right.
(1) …the kingdom of heaven (are) likened unto ten virgins, which
took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Now, before I read anymore, (come on) let's go back here to 1
Corinthians 15:50. Okay, It says:
(50) (For thou) I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit
the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
(You got to be changed.)
So, he's telling you that the great change that is coming is just like
this: here's a parable, here's a picture: [Matthew 25: paraphrased]
(25) Five wise, (foolish) and five foolish virgins.
(26) Foolish took their lamps, and had no oil with them:
Haw, brother/sister, do you know something? For hundreds of years the
Roman Catholic church has not had the Bible. But, a man of tremendous
Pentecostal stature called Mr. Pentecost, David du Plessis, of South
Africa was anointed to go to Harvard, to Princeton especially, and
through the grace that was allowed him in this age, he took Pentecost to
a Protestant and Roman Catholic churches, and he became very close
friends, I believe men like [cardinal] Cushing, [cardinal] Spellman, men
of repute and world renown, great men in their own way. And don't think
they aren't fine men, they are fine men, and I've have no doubt that
they are fine men. And when du Plessis got finished in their great
conclaves and went to Rome and other places, because he was allowed to
go, to know many men of the college of cardinals. This one particular
man who was so enthused with du Plessis said, "What can I do as a favor
to you? Can I mention you to the holy father?" Oh, well that would be
maybe ten masses and kiss the golden ring, and hot dog, you might even
end up with a (you know) a few diamonds and a few things. I don't know.
And David said, "You tell him [the pope] for me put the Roman Catholic
churches full of Bibles. And today through that man's effort the Roman
Catholic's have any number of Bibles, and they read them any way they
want. And the neo-Pentecost have flooded the Roman Catholic church until
you watch, their pope's will all be anointed with the Holy Ghost. And if
this man isn't, I believe he will be, or the next one succeeding him.
Because John XXIII, and the man following him were defiantly anointed
with the Holy Ghost, they're not Spirit filled. Definitely anointed.
32. So, what I'm trying to show you here there's all kinds of Bibles,
there's all kinds of word, but it's finished. There's no oil in it.
There's no life in it, because the Life is in this revelation of this
hour. How many people have caught the spirit of It? You tell people
right today and say, "He's here,"
"Well," they say, "that's Roman Catholic doctrine, Russell [Jehovah
Witness founder] said that, I can't believe it." A man calls it 'puke',
and they say preached it twenty nine years." He preached puke twenty
nine years, I'd smarten up and get out it. Now, I'm not trying to hurt
anybody, I'm just telling you, look it, smarten up. You're not a bunch
of babies anymore. If you're not ready for the battle, you got no place
around here, and I got no place around here. Let's go right back to
Pentecost or someplace. Oh, let's go back to the bars and get drunk, I
never much cared for booze. What I like most of all is puttering around
the garden. But, my puttering is about gone, because I can't get down,
because my back won't let me putter. It gets me to mutter, but doesn't
let me putter.
33. All right, five virgins, the word of one set of virgins had oil. It
was alive. See? The others, it had leaked out. That's why the foolish
virgin is in denominations. You say, "What's with us Bro. Vayle?" I'm
glad you asked me. Oh, I'm tickled you've asked me, because I have a
quote. Oh yes, I can't tell wherever it was, but I'll find it for you.
Bro. Branham said, "The dove and the crow can sit on the same roost."
Did you hear what I said? That sink in? Didn't sink in? Now, it's too
late for me to tell you about it. Start getting some more tapes. Come
on, come on, if you can't figure that one out, come to me privately with
a thousand dollar bill and I'll tell you. [laughter] Already joined you.
(He, he, he, he) [Bro. Vayle chuckles] that means I got to perform brain
surgery. That's very cheap a thousand dollars for brain surgery. Of
course with a dull axe, that you know… [laughter] If I didn't love
you, I wouldn't tease so unbearably.
But look, I'm very, very serious what I'm saying too. See? That's why I
say the way I say it. The dove and the crow can roost on the same
branch. You say, "Bro. Vayle, do I have to watch the person next to me?
I didn't say that. I'm not talking about local churches, I'm talking
about the whole thing, where men aggrandize themselves. "You see that
amongst us?" What do you think would be amongst us? Come on, wake up!
The Bride isn't put in the peculiar position of insulation until the
'Rapture', "when that which is filthy is filthy still, and that which is
righteous, is righteous still." [Rev 22:11]
You got to get out of here, honey. Just, if you happened to be a dove,
don't let that crow nuzzle you and say, "How's this little tidbit from
Pentecost?" It'll upset your gall bladder and you got it coming to you.
Oh, you don't have a gall bladder do you, if you're a dove. Yeah, make
you vomit.
34. [Matthew 25: with some paraphrasing]
(4) The wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. (They had the
Word that was Living for the hour.)
(5) And while the Bridegroom tarried they slumbered and slept.
(6) And at midnight a cry was made, Behold, the bridegroom, he's…
(Now, how are you going to behold Him, if he's
not here?)
Okay, behold this ten dollar bill! You say, [makes nonsense noise] "I
don't see any ten dollar bill." You're right, there isn't any ten dollar
bill. [laughter] Sure. You're a nice bunch of people, you catch on real
fast.
(6) …come out to meet him.
(7) All the virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
When did He first Appear? June 11, 1933. When did you really get to
know Him? "Oh," you say, "hey, that very good, very good, I only began
to put it together in a mystery, that hey, something was going on."
Yeah, something was going on.
"And tell me, when did you really see Him?"
"Well, hey, I know, when the Seals were opened. The creeds and dogmas
were cut asunder. The Mercy Seat became in full view." Sure…
(6) …come out and meet him.
(7) All the virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. (Lamp trimming
time, they knew something was on.)
Come on, now, you know I don't want to talk about Lee Vayle, but he's
not such a horrible subject if you get used to it.
35. I keep telling you I sat in a meeting, another great man sat in a
meeting saw this demon possessed man come in and Bro. Branham said,
"Satan, because you challenged the servant of the most High God, you're
going to fall at my feet." The man fell at his feet.
And the voice in the man that saw this, he said, the voice said to him,
"Hey, that's the way it's done in the Bible, you can do that too."
Now, I didn't see that. But when I saw the night Bro. Branham said, "I
challenge you bring me twenty four, or twenty five, (I forget which)
your worse cases, I guarantee healing for all. Oh, (he said) come on,
(he said) you that got prayer cards, I pray sixty percent get healed." I
never saw one that didn't get healed out of hundreds.
And the voice in me said, "If you ever listen to anybody, that's the
man you listen to."
You say, "Bro. Vayle, are you trying to suggest crow and dove?" I'm not
suggesting anything, you suggested if you said it. (Thanks Bill,
[laughter] appreciate you kid.) Brother/sister, the gloves are off.
I'm going to tell you something: I've said it, and I'm going to say it
again, if I am wrong in what I'm doing, trying to give Him glory, I
prayed for years and years in my heart, because I'm not arrogant like
people think I am. I'm hard hitting, but I'm not arrogant person to be
best of my knowledge. I know that I can be wrong. I know He can cast me
into hell. I've been willing to be cast into. If I could just give Him
glory one time in my life, and I suddenly realized I've been putting Him
forward all these years. Yes, in my own cruddy way, because I don't have
a life you can look at, I don't have a formula you know that. I don't
have gracious manners, or anything. But, I do have this Word. And this
Word says, He is here and I will die for It! Because, I believe that
same bleeding Word died for me one time.
36. Now, lamp trimming time, I'm trying to tell you is, there's
something going on. And the man that rose to a great ministry that Bro.
Branham commended, because he did go to the Word. But the worldly doubt
when it came to a prophet with an invincible infallible Word, and He is
here! It died, and he stayed back in Pentecost with his Trinitarianism.
Now, let's get that flat.
All right, trim the lamps. They begin going back to the Word,
sharpening the Bibles. The Roman Catholic's got it. Certainly, without a
doubt the Greek Orthodox will have it. Everybody's got it, the best
seller. It's been the best seller for ages and will be. And people quote
it, but no revelation. Aw, they'll tell you all about the Blood. They'll
tell you all about gifts. They'll tell you about the baptism. But, when
the baptism runs out, where are you? Yeah. (Oh listen, I could, my, my,
my, oh, I'd like to just hold you here. There's so many things I want to
tell you.)
All right listen, I'm not trying to be smart now and say, "Old Vayle
knows so much, he wants to (you know) be act like a big guy going to
pour it."
37. I want to take you to 1 John chapter 3. I haven't got time. I want
to show you what's going on, where this hogwash love is being
perpetrated until we must love the homos and bring him into church. Get
it out of the church, unless they repent! Anybody that's a homosexual,
you want help, I'll try to help you. You're not here of course, because
none of you are. I've helped maybe one before, I'll try to help another
one. But, don't bring me your filth around the tabernacles of God.
See, lamp trimming time. They go to the Word. Never was a time when
there wasn't more Word. And everybody confused like in the Rapture.
"Do the saints go before the tribulation? Is there a secret appearing,
or is there an appearing? Is there really a coming?" (Oh yes,
there's a coming.) "Is it before the tribulation? Is it after? Is it
before the Millennium, or is it after the end of the Millennium?
What is going on anyway? We would like to know."
And the prophet said, "All the Bride through the ages has been waiting
for this."
The people said, "Hey, glory to God He's here."
And they said, "Uh, uh [makes intelligible sounds]"
For the Lord Himself descends a Shout… and Bro. Branham said,
absolutely that was his Message. Oh, William Branham didn't come down,
he was down. Where's the river? Up there, or down here?
He said, "I was not the One that Appeared down the river, I was only
down the river when He Appeared." So, He Appeared down the river. Now if
that picture is really real, look it there! Where was Bro. Branham? "Oh,
Bro. Branham, I didn't know you were up there at the Throne." Well,
hallelujah son. I didn't know there's cameras up there either. Who took

38. As down here! William Branham ain't up there yet. He's in Paradise.
These resurrected ones only are only from the First Resurrection, the
first half, the Old Testament ones. They alone are in the Presence of
God my brother. Bro. Branham came back and he told us that.
He said, "The One standing up there (when he was caught in a vision,)
said, no (he said) way can you see Him, but He will come to you."
All right, He's down. Shower of revelation, the hour of putting your
minds aside. Your theology aside, everything aside. I've been learning
to do it. I kid you not, I'm not afraid to sit here, stand here or
anything else and boast in the fact that my God loves me, took care of
me, got me close to a prophet. That I could sit there and lose my own
thinking and get His. And there's not one of you sitting here but will
admit if Lee Vayle had not sat for four and a half hours, somebody would
have sat to find out that the baptism with the Holy Ghost and rebirth is
one and the same thing; and the Lamb's Book of Life and those things
that you know so easy today.
Who sat there? I did, and I lost my mind. Yeah, I had to get rid of my
thinking. Still hard to do. I'm going to tell you one thing: a virgin
wants her mind back. No virgin can get her virginity back if she ever
lost it. I'm going to tell you one thing: you can get your mind back,
because that's where her virginity is. It's not in a sex organ, it's in
the mind. And the mind is called a sex organ, because it fornicates with
creeds and dogmas, and brings forth illegitimate children.
So, the virgin started looking. Good people, fine people they could
talk about the Blood. They could talk about gifts. They could talk about
the baptism. They could talk about everything, but, they can't talk
about this. You'll talk about the Day of the Lord and you'll muff it,
because you can't get it outside a prophet comes.
39. [Matthew 25: some paraphrasing]
(8) And the foolish said, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone
out.
(9) And the wise said, It's not so; there's not enough for us and
you: go to them that sell and buy for yourselves. (Now that's just
a little thought in there, how you buy and sell oil, but it's a
real application to this hour.)
I'm going to tell you something: there ain't nobody can give you oil. I
can preach all day and all night, and Bro. Branham could have preached
all day and all night, he could have told me a million things and it
wouldn't mean one thing if I hadn't stop interpreting everything I was
looking at in the light of what I used to know. It takes God to give a
revelation. Just like He gave it to Peter and the rest. Now, watch what
It says:
(9) The wise answered, saying, no way, shape and form. (Because the
revelation is only one to one. And if we lose one word and take on
one word we're shot.) Sorry, you got to get it yourself.
That's why families are going to be divided. That's right. That's why
men should have ever made the mistake of ever marrying the wrong woman,
and woman the wrong man.
40. You say, "How am I going to know Bro. Vayle?" Bible tells you, "God
had a wife for Adam, and He brought the wife to Adam, and Adam's
marriage was sanctified and joined by God. How many marriages do we have
that here today? I don't know.
Now, don't go saying, "Well, Bro. Vayle, I think I'll look and find the
right one." You're crazy, you won't find the right one, you got the
right one for right at this hour right here.
You say, "How do you know?" Because the prophet said so, "stay as you
are." Just stay as you are.
You say, "What if I don't make it?"
I'm going to tell you one thing: there's a White Throne Resurrection
coming up and you can walk in then, and I'm going to tell you being
outside the Holy City won't hurt you one little bit, as being inside the
Holy City makes us any better. No way, because it's all of God. And when
it's all of God, (listen brother/sister) if it's all wool and a yard
wide, what is the difference? If it's all God, don't you think His
wisdom knows how to equal things out, and make everything work just
right? Come on, let's get relaxed. Pushers don't get anywhere. Satan
pushed, what did he get? Whatever he got pushed up is going to get
pushed down way worse.
41. I'm going to tell you something: everything that goes up has got to
come down. And when it comes down it's worse than when it went up. And
it's a whole lot further down. Just stay where you are. Just stay sweet
and kind.
(9) The wise answered saying, No way.
(10) And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came;
Now, first of all is the Appearing, second is the Coming. As Bro.
Branham said, (and I got to get the exact words on this, because it's
like double-talk, but it's not. It's like a slip of the tongue, but it's
not.) he says, "He comes before He comes." That's right. The same One
that was in flesh, is here in Spirit doing the works He did flesh,
proving to be the same One has already come before He's come, which
means 'incarnation'.
42. Okay: [Matthew 25: some paraphrasing]
(10) They went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready,
(the bride had made herself ready) she wouldn't give away her oil.
(She wouldn't give up on this Word.)
Bro. Branham said, "Find me a woman of such character who'll listen to
the Message!"
Say, "Bro. Vayle, this woman I know is a wonderful character. You see,
she is just perfect, she wears her sleeves right, she wears her skirts
right, she wears her hair right, and I tell you she treats her husband
so good and she always talks about the Lord; and she rolls her eyes up
and said, 'I thank you, Lord, there's three of You, Father, Son and Holy
Ghost, and I've been baptized in Your name'."
She missed it. She doesn't have character at all. Not what God's
looking for. Rahab had character. Sneaky prostitute. She said, "Say
boys, I heard that you got a God, He ain't like ours." She said, "I'd
like you tell me about Him." They told her. She said, "You know what?"
She said, "If I get you out of here safe (she said) will you guarantee
me and my family have refuge? Because (she said) I know you got it." A
prostitute.
Where was her character? Here and here. In the head and in the heart.
He body was simply a useful instrument for an easy living, if you call
it easy living. Jesus said, "The harlots and the publicans go in ahead
of you." [Mt 21:31] Nice people with your character. What character?
Character to spit in God's face and make Him a liar?
43. I've had that kind of character. Thank you, I've had my share, I got
beat down nicely by God. I have made God a liar for my friends. Now, I
don't have any friends anymore. Sorry folks, I'm going to tell it as it
is. I don't need friends. I need God. And when I make Him my friend,
then I'll have real friends and you'll have a real friend. But you see,
you got to put God where He belongs, which is above everybody. And when
all things are from him and back to Him, you watch the difference. I'm
more loyal now for one reason than ever was to anybody, because it
doesn't matter, I'll still preach the Word. Figure that out. I think you
can, it's not hard.
(10) …and the door was shut. (on this bride with character.)
See, she was looking for Him, and the Bible says, "They that look for
Him shall He Appear the second time." No, they were looking for creeds
and dogmas the rest, she was looking for Him to be veiled in the Word of
her understanding to see Him. Are you with me?
44. Okay, (I'm going to let you go in a minute now) I'm just going to
read the rest.
(11) And afterward the others came and the door was shut. (It said,
the door's shut,)
And they said, "Lord, Lord, open to us."
And He said, "Truly, (I say) I do not know you,"
That's not what He said. He said, "I used to know you as my wife, but I
don't know you as my wife any longer." The divorce. After the divorce
comes the antichrist.
"Watch therefore, you know neither the day nor the hour when the Son of
man cometh."
Tell me who knew the prophet William Branham? Be baptizing in the Ohio
River. "Oh, the banks of Jeffersonville, a muddy, cruddy little town." A
little independent Baptist preacher that had caught the people's eye,
because of his spiritual ability in preaching and soul winning, and
praying for sick; loving the Lord. And the Pillar of Fire was a rainbow
began whirling and screaming down, and nobody knew. And the prophet
didn't know, and nobody knew, just like John. Only the prophet knew
John. John said, He's out there somewhere, and William Branham knew
somewhere. It was Something talking to him, and he stood in the river
like John the Baptist. And the One Who was the Pillar of Fire made flesh
came down, and this One here who was once made flesh came back as a
Pillar of Fire stood there, and He said, "This is 'My Day', it's
starting now."
How many believe It? Not the foolish virgin. They'll believe It too
late. Because, they'll say, "Wasn't this supposed to happen? Wasn't this
supposed to happen? Wasn't that supposed to happen? Brother/sister,
aren't you glad you've been privy to the Day of the Lord?
45. Why, I'm so happy with the Day of the Lord. I'm so happy that He
made a way for us to know. Oh yes, it gives me great rejoicing, and I'm
ready to stand for It. Absolutely, I'll stand for It. I've got no time
for the mealy mouth now. They think they can act and eat watermelon,
(you know) like some people eat watermelon. They can it in here and spit
seeds out of both sides of their mouth. I don't buy people like that.
You talk out of both sides of your mouth when it comes to the Presence,
and what the prophet brought us. Don't carnal-ize It, humanize It,
victimize It by bringing in creeds and dogmas. Keep It pure. Don't be
afraid to take your stand.
Anybody in this church wonder about a stand; you say, "Bro. Vayle, I
wonder about gifts." All right, let's dedicate the room upstairs, I'll
go up there with you and see what happens. Come on, I'll call your bluff
right now. You see, I'm not afraid, because I've had gifts.
"You think it'll work Bro. Vayle?" I don't supposed it'll work for me,
but then again I'll put my arm out and see what God will do. And then
again I just wouldn't be surprised it would. Because, I'm not worried. I
don't care. You bring the challenge, I'll answer your challenge. You
see, I'm getting out of here.
See, where John looked two thousand years down the time being a
prophet, I can look here without being a prophet both the spirit of
prophecy. And I'm going to tell you something out there says, she's all
over. I'm looking at it clear as I'm looking at you. I may be dead
tomorrow morning, but I'm going to tell you this: the Word of this hour
is--somebody is not going to die.
You say, "Anybody can say that." Yeah, can they say it the way I say
it? Can they say it the way you say it?
46. I remember one time young (what's his name, Carl's son? cant'
remember) anyway he introduced Bro. Branham at a business meeting, and
he said, "You know folk (he said) years ago (he said) my mother used to
make us dinner and she'd ring this great big old bell to call us in from
the field." He said, "You know what, (he said) a lot of people (he said)
could ring a bell and make a dinner, and they could make a call to that
dinner, but (he said) there just wasn't anybody to compare to my
brother, (he said) that's the way I feel Bro. Branham is." He said,
"Nobody (he said) can put that Word out, notify the people and get them
coming to the banquet of God." And I believe that brother. I believe
we're in that hour today, the Day of the Lord.
(Wednesday night, we're back to "Who Can Turn on the Light," reading
the tape, reading the books. Sunday, who knows? We'll get there. It's
just I like to have notes that I can preach on for about twenty
Sundays, it gets me off the hook.)
All right, let's rise, shall we? [Baby dedication takes place before
final prayer]
Let's pray: Heavenly Father, we thank You again for love mercy and
grace. We praise You, O God, for giving us this time of fellowship
together, and we believe, Lord, that we are more and more confirmed in
our understanding. This is the Day that the Lord hath made. Not only
that, but this is the Day that the Lord spoke of to John who wrote It,
and we hear It. And we are now in that very hour when He, You Lord, are
here with Your fan in Your hand binding the tares, bringing the wheat
into the garner, elevating our heats and our minds, renewing us right to
repentance keeping in line with You. And this is that hour that is gone
past that beautiful healing revival, and right into restoration when our
Lord Jesus Christ Himself shall soon be able to descend, and we will
meet Him in the air.
And we thank You for it, Lord, we believe that we are fully aware of
the Appearing, and fully aware of the Great Coming. We believe, Lord,
that You showed us these things. And when we say we're fully aware, we
mean, Lord, we are absolutely assured of it. But, Lord, we are not fully
aware in the sense of the beautiful things that you have to show us yet.
Feed us on this Bread evermore until the great glory of God Appears in
human form, a Bride absolutely transformed within His image and shining
with His own Light transmitted through her; she being transformed to His
glory. Oh, what a Bride and a Groom is coming up.
Now, unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God in
Whom is all power to heal everyone, and make all of us well and bring us
to that place. Unto Him be glory, Him alone in Jesus' Name. Amen.
