Comments # 16 7/24/88-9/08/88, Bro. Lee Vayle   52min 18sec… I looked out my office window I went in there for a second and I saw young people right after communion leaving foot washing and going out there…not that it’s bad, it’s not bad but listen this is a place of reverence it’s a place of respect and we have to begin to realize that. We preach the presence of God. It came right from this pulpit brother/sister, went around the world showing what Brother Branham was teaching. And I got a lot of enemies I got a lot of defenders too on it. Now listen we are not showing reverence to Him who is here. Now I know there’s a life beyond it that’s much…you know…better than mud prints and running around. Look I …there’s many things far worse than that. There’s one thing we must learn to do. Brother Branham taught us to watch carefully the sanctuary because the Lord is present. And I don’t say the Pillar of Fire is here and not someplace else. Look I’m not saying that. But when we teach these things we believe them. Where would I go except that I believe what I believe? I don’t know what I could believe. I’d have to give up and say well there’s something out there somewhere who knows? When people don’t understand that picture is a supernatural picture and the man that had “Thus saith the Lord”, there’s something wrong somewhere. Not with us now; except I don’t think you're reverent enough. Now I’m not reverent enough. I’m not being critical of you; you understand this now. I’m not a critical preacher. I’m much more critical of myself than others.     59min 54sec… Now a couple of things come to my mind now that I've been not wanting to mention in a message particularly but just bring to your attention. And that is that I’ve been concerned many years about myself and I get concerned about others as to what is done on the memorial of the Lord’s Resurrection which we call Sunday the first day of the week. Now you notice in there Brother Branham mentioned he did not condone sports whatsoever on Sunday. That would go even for playing cards which we don’t do. Ping Pong which we trust we don’t do. Volley ball which we wouldn’t do on a Sunday; baseball, hockey things like that. And even when he went hunting he took time off. He would never hunt on Sunday. But he would gather with the men and they would talk about the Word. And also Brother Branham sprung all his traps when he was even a sinner. So he did his best not to have anything to do on the day that commemorates the Lord’s Resurrection. Which of course without that the Holy Spirit would not come back to bring us into rest. Perhaps we need to make the day Sunday a little more day of a rest. Now I know that Brother Branham did drive around with his family. He did eat out and he tried to be with his family in some type of a fellowship. So those are good things to remember as we try to conform more and more to what this day is all about Remember the Bible tells us, that we honor God, He honors us; but if we don’t honor God, He will not honor us. Again, He's told us, those that do not listen to His Word, He will not listen to their prayers. So we have a very serious thing here today. To think about these things and try to conform more and more and I would say that the key note on Sunday is fellowship. And talk about the things of the Lord and things of common interest. Because many times we do like to talk things over with people that have to do with us personally; it’s perfectly legitimate. But we make it a day of fellowship with the Lord; especially Brother Branham said coming to church is not fellowship, it is a time of correction. Which means of course the Word of God is taught. So you keep that in mind. And I’m leaving that in your hands, the same as I left concerning TV’s and VCR’s. I never heard anything from you yet. I don’t know why; but I think by now you should have thoroughly dissolved it and come to an opinion. Now we’re not democratic as an institution to decide what is the will of the Lord. The prophet brought us the will of the Lord; but your understanding of it is very vital to you and we find that the most important thing in the world is to know why God was doing something.
